They call themselves audiologists and ENT surgeons, but they are utterly TONE DEAF socially. Way too much West Hills high-altitude attitude here, if you know what I mean. And the staff does not give a HOOT. Sport to them. They do not seem happy. When I asked for my patient records, they said I needed to sign up on their patient portal to obtain my records-- THIS, they are telling me AFTER I am being terminated as a patient. And the rub is this: on this provider portal, there is an option for text/ email reminders. I NEVER KNEW ABOUT their portal. Why the FUDGE was I not shown this system after the first missed appointment!!!??? COMPLETE JOKE OF AN OPERATION... and the world is too nutty for another JOKER! Do others feel this way??? It was a technology issue but the company took no time to figure out what was broken.... I AM NOT A DOCTOR but that does not seem like good medicine. BAD medicine it seems. For reference, this was my message to them upon learning that I was terminated as a patient when needing urgent care... I have many devices and calendars... there was a security lock on a key sharing calendar... I LOVE text-based reminders... or email, BUT PDXENT is THE ONLY provider I have that has NOT historically (say, in the past four years) provided me any reminder notification. My ear hurts, it is not exactly easy to find providers... It is not even that I think the PDXENT patient-termination policy is draconian (yes-- DRACONIAN), ...it is that PDXENT never took time to figure out the disconnect after the first "strike". When did electronic notification become available???? Why did we not deal with this on the first "strike"... My guess is that operations are broken, the staff is generally pissed and the owners are geared on Porsches. Blow. ...that sums it up for me. They can do just that.

When I picked up my hearing aids and declined, his professionalism vanished. He rushed the setup, brushed off questions with "look it up online," and said he'd only see me once more, then not again for a year -- despite my insurance covering multiple follow-ups to ensure the best fit. I returned the hearing aids within days. He was in the office but didn't even come out to ask why. If you want honest care without hidden costs or conditional service, look elsewhere.

The pysciatrist was 25 minutes late to our appointment time, and was not considerate of my time at all and continued the appointment well past the end time and when I mentioned she went well past the end time she was not understanding or considerate of my time at all. She clearly had never done teletherapy before and struggled to keep a thought. Then to pay the bill it took 2 weeks of calling the accountant because the only way to pay was by calling her during business hours. Nobody else's time is important when it comes to this office and was the most unprofessional mental health experience I have ever had.

While waiting for an appointment, it's kinda tacky to hear staff loudly talking about a call with another patient who was frustrated with them about scheduling, and hear them make fun of her and say things like 'I was gonna tell her the information she needed but she cut me off so good luck to her I guess haha' like... I get this is your job, and everyone wants to complain about their work or 'clients/customers' that they view as annoying, but this is the healthcare field. This is people's lives, and yeah folks get frustrated in regard to their personal health and trying to navigate the hell that is our healthcare system. Leave those conversations at home, or at a low enough volume that folks in the waiting room can't hear you. It does not fill me with confidence that patients information and struggles are going to be taken seriously and not mocked when I hear that in the waiting room. Also not being able to schedule an appointment 3 months out, when I was specifically told by my doctor that I need to come back in 3 months, is kinda ridiculous. I'll try and remember to call back and schedule myself in a few months, but it's very likely I'll forget which is why I wanted to get it put on the books today. :(

I truly wish I could give 0 stars to this place. It's now 5 months after my surgery they made me pay over $2600 up front 10 minutes before my surgery was scheduled to happen. I had no choice but to put it on a credit card. It's now 5 months later and they have never turned in those charges to my insurance. My insurance says they're now out of network after they changed ownership And my insurance cannot force them to turn in those charges. They are choosing not to turn in those charges to my insurance for some reason. That's because I am over Max out of pocket right now not counting those charges and they will have to pay me back. So I have all the paperwork now from that date and all the charges fortunately it took me over 2 months to get it however. I was just told this morning that I now have to turn in all this paperwork that fortunately I do have so that they can charge Cornell surgery center. Whatever you do don't get a surgery here unless you wanna be frustrated because they won't turn in your charges to your insurance and they will force you to pay up front for your surgery!!!!!!!
