The shop is located with some parking in front of the barbershop, but also several available street parking (just don't block a driveway). I got my haircut from a nice guy named Efrain. My son is mixed, and I've been quite careful about maintaining his curls and the shape of his hair, so I was very specific that I only wanted about half an inch taken off while keeping his existing shape. Unfortunately, the haircut felt very rushed and haphazard, and considerably more hair was taken off than I asked for. The shape was changed completely, particularly around the sides and back, and the finished haircut looked nothing like what we came in with or what I had requested. I've included before and after photos so others can judge the result for themselves. Based on our experience, I personally wouldn't recommend this barber for a child with my son's hair texture/curl pattern. I was also taken aback by how I was spoken to when I arrived. I don't expect over-the-top customer service, but the interaction felt unnecessarily rude and made an already disappointing experience worse. I own a business myself and don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, so I don't write this lightly. The barber shop is located a block away from busy Ocean Avenue. So not only is parking very scarce at times. But depending on what day it is you can't park during certain hours for street cleaning. To make it even worse the parking has a two hour limit before you have to move your vehicle. Granted that seems like a long time to most people but if something happens and you're delayed. Then the hassle of having to move your car because of a two hour parking limit can be a headache.
