Let me start off by saying that I am a picky eater. I have been to Tucker Dukes about 5 times at the request of my friends. Since I am picky and you cannot change anything on the hamburger, I have to forgo the burgers. And don't say "why don't you take the item you don't like, off". There still would be something that touches the burger or bread that would "contaminate" the burger. Yes, I know, I sound like a nutcase. My friends, however, always say the burgers are great. My dilemma is that I order the other items which are mediocre. In the past I ordered the shrimp po'boy and the last time I was there it was not on the menu so I ordered the jambalaya. In all of the 5 times I have ordered these items they were mediocre. I finally told my friends I will no longer go there. Perhaps if you were allowed to customize your burger, I would then go. I love unique, hole-in-the-wall type restaurants. Quick synopsis: It's a burger bar with elevated, unique dishes above a typical sports bar. The Porky's Lollipops appetizer was fantastic! The French fries here are PERFECT. They're traditional good ol' regular French fries, not the kind that is all crunchy and battered in whatever that stuff is other restaurants sometimes offer. The Spicy Gochujang wings weren't as spicy as I was expecting but still good. After seeing servers with humongous burgers come out, I definitely had diners remorse. I had the most unpleasant dinning experience at @tuckerdukesdfb yesterday. From the moment we sat down, we were given no silverwares, plates or napkins. Our waitress was not very attentive so I can't even ask for them. Waited for a long time for our food to arrive and I basically had to beg the food runner for napkins. So disappointed. Me n my hubby went here on a 4 day holiday weekend and thought we were going to enjoy our first experience at TD but nope. Somehow a restaurant like this had NO ICE to serve their drinks. Strike 1....because I really wanted to try their margarita. But she did tell us that they asked Dunkin Donuts (next door) for ice right before DD closed and the answer was NO lol. I didn't understand how they could miss on serving $12 margaritas per drink because they didn't have a $4 bag of ice that would make multiple drinks. Hmmmmm but ok I drank room temperature water and my husband settled for a bottled beer. Strike 2......there were flies everywhere in the inside. At first it was just one fly then there were more and more. Strike 3.... the food was not that good. The egg rolls were very chewy/stale even though they had just come out the fryer AND they were VERY VERY GREASY!!! I think they were fried more than once. My boyfriend decided on the King Louis burger (that lasted 10 minutes tops on his plate) and I opted for the Gran Dada. 10/10 on both and honestly one of the best if not THE best burgers weve had since moving to So Flo. The bacon was over salted. We also ordered the breakfast tots which was just a mess. A pile of tots with eggs and salsa and bacon bits. My wife had the toothless vegan burger, she could only eat half of it but loved the half she eat. Filled up on the appetizers. My friends wife had the shrimp po boy. She must have enjoyed it, she also left nothing behind. Her husband got the Tucker Duke burger. This thing was huge! He had to remove the onion rings to get it in his mouth. He ended up eating the onion rings on the side, but really enjoyed the whole thing. I had the spicy Lola. I got it because it made think about my dog Lola that just passed away two month ago. I really enjoyed it, I loved all the flavors. I ate about a third of it on the bun and rest of it without the bun. I was full! The jalapeño bacon mac was really good too. We arrived on a Tuesday around noon and I had my Puppy with me. I heard that Tucker Duke was a dog so I brought mine with me. The wait staff brought us all water including Copper my pup. Who sat very quietly on the ground. We ordered the special for "Tuesday only" the Tucker Duke burger. No changes allowed. We also ordered the fried pickles and corn dog minis. The appetizer of corn dogs was ok. The hot dogs tasted like thin Vienna sausages. The breading was good and the catsup was ok. The burgers were enormous. With a steakknife stabbed through the top to the bottom. There were so many layers including the fried onion rings. I deconstructed mine immediately. There was no way I could open my mouth that wide. After eating half I tried to reconstruct for another picture but it didn't work. It was a good burger and the presentation was fun. The wait staff was very accommodating. I would come back but I would order something else to try. Lastly, the drink refills are free they will give you a to go cup. And the menu is only online and you need to use your phone to see the menu. They should print some to go menus on news print and roll them up like an old fashioned newspaper. Welp, don't order a veggie patty and expect them to do it correctly smh. My brother and I got the same burger, but mine was with a veggie patty and his with a regular. I asked them to make sure they would be able to tell the difference since I don't eat meat. They insisted they would. Problem is, no one knows what's going on so I wound up taking a bite out of the dead animal carcass which I haven't done in over 5 years. My brother went to complain to the manager who couldn't be bothered. Took her a whole lot of time to come over and give a terrible apology. We wanted to devour the entire menu but settled for a couple things: Loaded Breakfast Tots, PB &J Bon Bons, The Tucker Duke Burger, and Kick'n Chicken & Waffles. The Breakfast Tots were great!
