I had two AC systems replaced by Tucker Hill Air, Plumbing, & Electric. Their first job was completed in August. My unit was 23 years old and was not efficient cooling down the house and was using a lot of energy. So, it was time to replace it to a new one. The owner, Jeremy gave me a very competitive price for the entire install job. The price was less expensive than quotes I received from other local companies. The team did a fantastic job installing the unit and my energy usage went down noticeably. My second AC replacement took place in September. This unit was for the upstairs, split system. Although the system was only 7 years old, it was running poorly. It suddenly failed to cool down. As Tucker Hill Air, Plumbing, & Electric technicians inspected and started disassembly of the unit, they noted that the job completed 7 years ago was installed poorly. The technicians took many pictures and photos showed the air duct was not sealed up properly and there was a section of pinched ducting. It was leaking Freon and had poor drainage. Two technicians worked and completed this upstairs AC unit job. What I found out from these technicians is that Tucker Hill Air, Plumbing, & Electric pays their installer hourly instead of per job (Flat Rate). So, there is no incentive for them to finish up the job quickly. Some of the other big similar local shops pay their installer per job and it would incentivize them to finish the installs quickly without paying attention to details. One of the Tucker Hill Air, Plumbing, & Electric technician, Nathan is very experienced and knowledgeable with overall HVAC systems and install procedures. You can tell he pays attention to small details and there are big differences from after photos that the duct and plumbing jobs are done properly. Alas, I chose another company because they were close - they didn't send a plumber as requested. They sent a "techie" who refused to snake the drain, then rammed a wrench into drainpipe & broke it. He refused to snake the cleanout also & dismantled all the pipes, saying I needed $3500 to re-pipe & unseen taking the P-trap & plumbing connections with him. He left me without the parts & the (slow draining) sink in worse condition than he found it (no drain). I wish I had called Tucker Hill first. read more
