Onion burger, fries and a banana pudding shake!!
    Jim L.

Onion burgers and milkshakes! I had a double, Momma had a single, but they also have a Mother Tucker which is a triple! You pick the toppings from lettuce, tomato, pickles, jalapeños, ketchup, mustard and mayo, plus adders of cheese or bacon (or both!). Thin home cut fries are delicious! And to drink, endless fountain or a milkshake...they have happy standard Vanilla, strawberry or chocolate + seasonal specials (it was banana pudding for our visit). Shakes are hand dipped.. Everything was really good. Oklahoma beef, which is a plus for supporting local business. Menu is simple, and their system for customization seems to have been worked through well (order is recorded on the bag). Restaurant is clean and bright and simple. Music playing included everything from DEVO to the Cure...which was good for us, but probably not the genre of everyone else in the restaurant. As for the staff, they seemed friendly...even though they were getting slammed. I'm not going to lie, this isn't a $5 burger meal..but the food was fresh and hot and full of flavor. We really enjoyed our visit, and can envision a repeat.

Came for lunch on their 2nd official day to be open. I arrived shortly after 11 am and there were already several people in line ahead of me. You order at the counter and the menu is pretty basic, a few burger options, chicken sandwich, salad, fries and shakes. They take your orders similar to how Whataburger did years ago, by circling items on the back of a to-go bag. That sack then hangs in the kitchen and your order ends up in the bag. I ordered a Single Onion Burger with cheese, jalapeños, pickles, mustard and ketchup. Also ordered the fries and a drink. My name was called 8 to 10 minutes later. The buger comes wrapped in paper and when unwrapped, I noticed a lot of the onions were really charred around the edge of the burger. The fries are cut shoestring style and unfortunately don't hold the heat very well and end up limp and oily. The burger not the best I've had and was just okay. The meat was cooked well done and I was glad it had the mustard and ketchup to help add some moisture. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely try them again and would ask if they could cook the meat to medium rather than well. Perhaps they do and I just happened to get them with all new stuff since they did just open.

I ordered a Double onion burger with Cheese, fries and a drink. Burger is like a smashed burger with the onions in the burger, loved the flavor. It is a greasy burger without the mouth feeling grease coated. Reminds me of what I called old fashion hamburgers I enjoyed as a kid. Cheese is definitely melted not just slapped on last minute. Fries are shoestring fries to me seasoned just right with not too much salt and not to little. Great fresh cut flavor, definitely not frozen fries. Banana pudding ice cream tasted just like my grandmother banana pudding with the nilla wafers and all. Loved it. Only limited time. Wish this was an all time. They have shakes mainly but will sell a scoop of the ice cream for $1.50. Order process is quick and easy. Plenty of outside seating. Inside Booths are roomy and comfortable They do have a few tables and individual chairs also. Will definitely be back.

It is like trying to hold a wet fish between two bars of soap. Greasy sloppy, eventually the bun disintegrates and the beef patty slides out. I don't like greasy slimy grilled onions on a burger, period. My wife had to try it though. We split a generous single order of fries. They appeared to be fresh, thinly sliced potatoes. They were good. One order is enough for two people. My wife had the single with cheese, loaded. For me a fried chicken sandwich, the Tucker's Clucker. You can't complain about the size of the sandwiches. A big loaded burger with at least a 1/3-pound beef patty, maybe more. The crispy chicken breast wasn't small either. It stuck out from the large bun. It didn't take long for the bun on my wife's burger to melt. In the middle of a big bite, the well lubricated patty slipped out on to the paper sack. I knew that was coming! So anyway, she liked the burger. I thought the chicken sandwich was fair. Fast food joint ambiance. Order at the counter. Your name is called. Pick up your order. Apparently everything is served to go, in your choice of a paper sack or paper bag. ??? Been there, done that.

    Cheesy Mother Tucker

We tried the mother Tucker loaded with cheese. It was just okay definitely on the pricey side for a 1lb. In OKC it's in my top 5 but not compared to T town burgers. We asked for crispy fries and they were alright most were not crispy though. The atmosphere had a bit of a nip to it.

I don't really understand the hate Tucker's gets sometimes. Been eating from there since they opened in OKC. It's hard to find a good onion burger, especially in the Tulsa area. Finally got to try the new Tucker's that's opened in the Hills and it's just as good as the ones in OKC. Service has always been fast and good at these places and the food has always been consistently good. This trip I got the double patty with cheese and fries. The burger is pretty good size with the meat hanging off the edges of the bun and not charred or burnt.Fries were crispy and not over cooked. Lots of onions on the burger as expected. Plenty of seating inside so it doesn't seem real packed. And as a bonus for those of us used to the OKC locations, there is plenty of parking. For folks looking for that onion burger fix and not able or willing to hit up Sid's in El Reno, Tucker's a very acceptable substitute.

Walked in smelt like onions. Walked out, I smelt like onions. The burgers are mediocre. Nothing special. I was hoping for a burst of flavor. It wasn't there. The burger can be pricey when think that for the amount paid you only get a burger. No fries. No drink. I had to take a shower once I got home. The onion aroma stays on you.

    The delicious food

We decided to eat in the parking lot as it's much safer than driving and eating. However, with the option of people watching that also was a deciding factor on why we should park and eat. There is a nice view of the city, skyline and interesting lights and various different people in the area. Would recommend the chicken sandwich combo, however, would probably recommend to request the mayonnaise on the side as it definitely was seeping out the bottom of the sandwich and the napkin was much needed. Disappointed they did not have french fries so we were not able to try them, but they substituted onion rings and the tater tots which both were good. Tater tots could've probably use some seasoning or salt however they were cooked perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. We can definitely see ourselves stopping here again.

Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

I usually order my food to go, but on one visit I arrived early and spent some time inside. The front area has a small waiting space with decor that gives a bit of history and personality to the place. They also offer beef for purchase, which is a nice touch if you are someone who enjoys cooking at home. I sat at the bar while I waited, and the service matched what I have come to expect from them. Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. The bartender even helped create a drink based on the flavor profile I described. It had a light citrus note with tequila and was very well balanced. As for the food, the onion burger is my favorite. I always add lettuce and tomato, and their burger sauce brings everything together. The flavors are rich without being overwhelming, and the quality of the beef stands out. The fries deserve their own mention. The regular fries are crispy and well done, and the sweet potato fries are just as good, which makes it hard to choose between the two. I usually get the garlic aioli on the side, and it takes everything up another level. The atmosphere is slightly elevated compared to a typical burger spot, especially in the bar area, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. It is a place I will keep coming back to whenever I want a burger that feels worth it.
