Cheap, hearty biscuit sandwiches. My husband's family lives in Charleston so we made the pilgrimage to see them. Since the only direct flight from Tampa to Charleston is through Huntington on Allegiant, we ended up taking a 6:40 a.m. flight and then driving an hour. Needless to say, by the time we got to Charleston, I was starving. My husband suggested we stop at Tudors. It is certainly popular in West Virginia. I swear I saw like four different Tudors as we drove. Now, I want one in Tampa. They have a variety of biscuit sandwiches, like every single combination (randomly no just egg and cheese, but my grandmother-in-law informed me that I can definitely order it any way I want). I decided to go with the Dottie which was egg, cheese, and a hash brown. It was a little over $3. That's insane. The amount that you get is definitely worth more than $3 (although I did notice that everything was a little cheaper in WV). I did not go hungry. I didn't get to eat the sandwich right away so it was a little cool by the time I tried it. I think it would have been better hot. It was pretty good, but I would suggest eating it there instead of getting take out. I will definitely make a stop at Tudors next time I'm in Charleston. read more

Super friendly people working at this Tudors location. It's always busy and I'm always greeted with a big smile and hello. The food is always fresh and hot as is the coffee. Had a take out of the white bean soup. It came with a big chunk of ice cold cornbread that had no flavor at all, a a small container of chopped onion which was unnecessary, . The beans were thick and had little salt and no ham flavor but visible tiny shreds were present of the ham. It was the worst shit I ever tasted and made inedible by some hot sauce. Traveling and stopped here for the first time ever. Biscuits were alright, very fluffy. Not enough meat on the biscuit sandwiches though. My wrap was pretty good. Potatoes were cold. I got the blackberry biscuit and was disappointed- an open biscuit drowning in canned compote or pie filling along with a generous portion of icing over top. The best Tudor's I've been to. Thundering Herd is my favorite biscuit sandwich they make. Hands down my favorite biscuit concoction I've ever eaten. Recommend, especially if you're not familiar with this chain and driving through. Peppi is kind of a flavor attempt at a pepperoni roll, which is a staple food in this state. It's simple but good. The Honey Chicken Biscuit surprised me. It's pretty great. It's not too subtle and not too rich. After seeing Tudor's commercials, I was curious how this regional chain measured up. It is usually paired with a Gino's Pizzaria. My flight was delayed so I stopped in to try it before going through security. Tudor's is the only food option in Yeager Airport. Unfortch, the biscuit just wasn't tasty. It had a dense texture, as if the bread was microwaved. The sausage patty was clearly frozen and dessicated, but had a nice spicy kick. But overall, it just wasn't good, even going by my Yankee knowledge of biscuits. The saleswoman also took forever and a day to count my change. Pros: the food is cheap and has large portions. There are about 50 seats and they're homey feeling. Its a little bit better than sitting in the airport gate. read more

This place even had me drooling! Local chain serving up all the cholesterol booming, artery clogging, cheesy, buttery goodness one can handle. What they're known for is obviously their biscuits which came out piping hot, glistening in butter and perfectly flaky. You can have it filled with many typical breakfast sammy fillings, or in the kiddo's case, get this...with a perfectly fried golden hash-brown and gooey dripping cheese. Hash brown cheese biscuit. Insane. Grilled cheese and cheese fries too?! The girls were in absolute carb-loading, calorie splurging heaven! The grilled cheese, while looked burnt to me was still super soft when I ripped it in half for the littles. It was comprised of two pieces of Texas Toast (and fought over despite everything ordered for two wee ones). The fries were golden and even with the mounds of melted cheese, still held their own. No forks were asked for. Prices were super fair and drive thru service was fast and friendly. Perhaps if you're in the area, stop by and splurge. I've never seen fast food like this. Their offerings were insane! Good or bad...unsure. Vegans, not a single thing for us, but vegetarians... rejoice! Although I personally didn't feel great about serving my kiddos this, they certainly did not care! I guess they deserved it after an afternoon of hiking Gauley Bridge about 45 minutes away. This restaurant is the only place to eat at Yeager Airport. It sits just outside of Security/TSA. It is decent in size and holds probably about 50 people. It connects to a full bar. They have a variety of items to choose from. The "Big Italian" special is pretty good. For about 7 bucks you can get a pretty yummy mozzarella role and coffee with refills. The biscuits are suppose to be a specialty, but I found them to be AOK. Free wifi and I found one electrical outlet in between the restaurant and the inside entrance to the bar. read more

Excellent, large biscuits, flakey and perfectly cooked. I also tried their gravy... Thick and sausage-rich. Was there at the height of the morning rush, just after 8 AM on a Friday. The drive through had cars lined up to the street, and there was a constant rush of people in and out lot. The inside line was also packed, but the service was fast and friendly. The manager behind the counter was doing a great job watching over the kitchen and the counter staff... Obviously she really cared about the level of service. By the time I went back outside the drive through line was gone and the lot was almost empty... Amazing how quickly they were turning out the biscuits! read more

We have tried more than a dozen Tudors, and this one is the cleanest, most pleasant, and happiest of the bunch. We pulled into the parking lot to discover that parking is not a skill shared by Tudors customers. Worse, when you drive a long cab pickup, you should learn to park it and then learn how to get it out of the parking lot. One guy locked himself between two other pickups and could barely move. As we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching people completely miss the lines, reducing the available parking by at least four spots. NOTE: Handicapped parking does not mean "my truck is so big I am handicapped when trying to park." We came here for quick, easy to manage breakfast. Of course, this involves buscuits and gravy (I do not eat like this at home, by the way). We also took two turnovers and two cinnamon rolls for our hosts when we reach our destination. They were much loved by all, even with each divided in half to share. The food was as expected, and we left after having enjoyed the impromptu car show. Eat well, tip well. read more

I'm new to WV so I'm new to Tudor's as well. I got the biscuit sandwich with hash brown, egg, cheese and bacon. It was nice and big and tasted like it was made from scratch, definitely better than anything you'd get at any other fast food chain. We got a cinnamon roll too that was amazing, again tasted fresh and homemade. A great place to stop when you're tired and hungry in need of a good hearty pick me up. read more

I was in Charleston WV once before and I wish I knew about this place then. A friend introduced me to this place and i am glad he did. The biscuits are huge and very good. I had the duke with potatoe rounds and the biscuit with blackberry sauce ontop on the side. which at first I was going to order a second item because I usually like to try a little bit if everything when I go to a restaurant for the first time. I'm glad I didn't because the duke was so filling i almost didn't finish it. The potatoe rounds are just small tater tots like burger king sells but they are good. I liked the blackberry sauce but I did not like it on the biscuit. I will definitely be stopping in again next time I am around one of these stores. read more

I don't know why always forget to stop here and get a biscuit when I travel on I 77 North on the way to Ohio. But I'm so glad I remembered this time. Biscuits were fresh and plump and the breakfast meat was cooked well. The food is a little bit more expensive than your standard fast-food fare, but it's worth every penny. Every biscuit has the magic touch from what can only be explained by the early morning touch of a soulful grandmother. To have biscuit perfection is rare and someone younger than 65 certainly would have a hard time mastering. There's wisdom in Tudors biscuits; they are the perfect mix of sublime and divine inspiration for you taste buds. Do not even think of coming here if you are on a diet. We took my brother to the airport, Tuesday, November 7th, 2017. We decided to have breakfast while we waited for his departure. I had the country breakfast, and my husband and brother had gravy and biscuits platter. I then decided I wanted a biscuit with gravy, not the platter they had, just a side of gravy. My breakfast came with a biscuit. Now I realize airport food is always more expensive than other locations, but hey, it's Charleston, WV, and it's Tudor's Biscuit World!!! Their biscuit and gravy platters were $3.89 each. My husband went to get me a side of JUST gravy, and it was $4.12! REALLY??? Never again!!! read more

I don't think the food at this airport location is as good as the standalone Tudor's, but it isn't at all terrible. I'm a huge fan of Tudor's in general. For me, the problem wasn't really the food, but the speed. They are really slow, which is especially annoying when you are on a schedule. The employees always friendly enough, just not quick. If you want to eat here before you leave, you may need to arrive at the airport earlier. read more
