    Steak and chorizo tacos.

Great taco gem in the area! Been ordering from this taco spot a several occasions and always happy with my decision. Food is prepared nicely, fast turnaround on your order and tastes fresh. You can order full plates, salads, wraps and such but I mostly have picked up their authentic Mexican tacos and also enjoyed their amazing packed filled tortas. The service at the counter is always friendly and always greeted with a smile. The restaurant is small, with just a few tables inside, and a small enclosure outside, however looks very inviting and looks clean. I definitely recommend this spot especially if you wanna get your taco chow on!

Flan. Very watery, not rich nor creamy.

I really wanted to like this place as I've passed it countless times and the pictures on Yelp looked nice. Unfortunately, I either ordered all of the wrong things or this was their biggest off day. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla, regular nachos, pineapple Jarrito and a flan. Shrimp quesadilla: had more than just cheese and shrimp. I think it was the combination of the queso fresco, lettuce and pico that didn't mix so well and ended up tasting bad. I loved the corn tortilla, but ended up just taking out the shrimp and throwing out the rest. Nachos: were overbaked and mostly stuck to the container. Good ingredients but hard to enjoy eating. Flan: I don't think it was made using actual milk and it was nothing close to creamy. Tasted more watery, which would probably be great of you're lactose intolerant. The Jarrito soda was fine. Overall, I wasted $26 and didn't have much to show for it. Service was friendly, and the place was clean so no complaints there.

We order here all the time and I'm finally making a review but I need to start taking a pic of my food before we dive into it lol! Always always on the list is their hand made quesadillas. They are fresh and delicious. Chicken is my fav and my husband loves the steak. My kids always get the chicken fajitas and it comes with a lot of food. Happy to have found this place

Food & Drink - Huevos Rancheros: (7/10) This was super yummy, especially for breakfast/brunch. The egg yolk wasn't runny, but we honestly didn't mind much because it was still delicious. The avocado added a really nice, creamy texture. Also, the salsa verde was perfect and not too sour like some other restaurants! The rice and beans that this dish came with were amazing! No, like...AMAAAZING! The best rice and beans we've had uptown by far. - Queso Flautas: (10/10) First off, these flautas are troopers! They were crispy and somehow fresh, despite our 30 minute walk through the snow with them. When you bite into these, you get a mouthful of juicy, warm cheese, and the crispy, salty shell. They are truly mouth-watering. The guacamole that was served with these was delicious, too! We highly recommend this dish. - Chalupas: (8/10) These were very tasty chalupas. The flavorful, tender chorizo in the crispy shell paired really well with the queso fresco and red salsa. Topped off with some pico de gallo and a little sour cream - it was the perfect spicy taco bite. - Steak Chilaquiles: (4/10) The low score for this dish could just be because we weren't able to eat this fresh, but the skirt steak on top was so hard that it was inedible. The tortillas had fused into a single mass with the salsa and cheese, even after reheating. There was minimal flavor, which resulted in an overpowering soggy corn tortilla essence to the whole thing. We recommend eating this fresh or maybe skipping it altogether. - Horchata: (6/10) This horchata was just okay. It tasted a bit watered down and didn't have a very prominent cinnamon flavor to it, but it was still refreshing and mildly sweet. Service: (9/10) The young gentleman at the counter was extremely patient as we contemplated what to get, since everything sounded so appetizing. He even answered all our questions regarding ingredients and gave us his recommendations. Atmosphere: (NA/10) We ordered takeout since indoor dining was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we were not able to have the full experience of dining here. However, the inside is pretty small and looks like it's mostly meant for takeout.

Great Mexican restaurant in HARLEM! I took a chance because I've been searching for some good chilaquiles con salsa verse for two years now... stopes into Tulcimexico and they got it so right!! The place is small but impeccably clean! The chilaquiles were delicious, I had them with refried beans and two fried eggs! I was in heaven!!! The service was good and I am happy to have found this little Gem in Harlem!!

    Veggie burrito (half)
    Deborah N.

Cute new Mexican takeout joint, yea! There are some bar stool window seats, but space is tight so better to-go if you can. Tried the veggie burrito, which is mostly rice, beans and powdered cheese, but good and filling. Red and green sauces have a good kick! Also grabbed a tasty carrot cake slice via Brooklyn Cheesecake. Looking forward to trying more of the (veggie parts of the) menu!

I had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally came for my birthday dinner. It was a rainy…read moreevening and I was hoping there'd be umbrella sleeves offered. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

What a GORGEOUS space. Whoever interior decorated this restaurant deserves their tens because it is…read morea spectacle. I had only seen daytime pics, but being there in the evening is a treat. If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
