Mike is fantastic to work with. I first brought in my Tundra to upgrade the weak JBL system. I told him it had no bass and wasn't loud enough, even at full volume. He recommended an amp and subwoofer to get the sound I wanted but also mentioned that I might eventually want a new head unit and speakers. Since I wanted to keep my factory head unit for its remote start and tracking features, he didn't push me to change it--just gave his honest opinion and did exactly what I asked. The result was perfect. A couple of years later, I wanted some minor tuning adjustments. I stopped by to ask what I needed, and Mike not only handled the adjustments but also updated the amp's firmware. I expected to pay for the service, but he did it for free--just part of his commitment to great customer service. Now, five years later, my system still sounds great, but I'm having issues with the factory head unit. I asked Mike about a replacement I was considering, and instead of just agreeing, he asked what I really wanted. Within minutes, he showed me a better option--$600 cheaper than the one I was looking at. After researching it myself, I realized he was absolutely right, so I scheduled the upgrade with him. Don't bother wasting your time. Another scandalous business owner from San Bernardino trying to hide under the umbrella of Redlands city. U will get scammed. He will do low end quality work and charge u top dollar. Not only is the work crappy but the service and equipment is not up to par either. There are a few other reviews about this guy being rude and calling people's cars "pieces of shit". He did the same to my vehicle. Not only did he insult me and my vehicle but he also damaged my vehicle, my engine light came on after pickup and he also damaged my parking/emergency brake pedal. The brake pedal would not latch at all and had to take my to take my truck to the Toyota dealer across the street for a true diagnostic because I knew he could not be trusted at this point. Upon review the dealer did say in fact that he damage my parking break and the engine light was a faulty sensor that he must've tampered with or replaced. I paid for them to fix and for diagnostic. This is not about the money it's about performing proper service to customers. I paid for all of these things out of pocket just so I didn't have to deal with the owner again. Including 4 different Uber trips of $40 each. On top of the damages and poor customer service it's been 2 months and I'm still waiting for banks to finish investigation so my money can be refunded. He also damaged my tweeters and did not install crossovers, rear backup camera or my steering wheel controls. I have returned all of his equipment and won't be returning. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. If u do decide to go to this guy (which u shouldn't) make sure ALL labor and parts are written in the paper. Including small things such as rear camera, steering wheels controls etc. He will write $1000 for labor don't let him. Make sure he writes out each labor task and prices it. Otherwise u will have problems get your money refunded from the bank. read more

Been to this shop 3 times. We replace cars so often I always put new radar detectors in them and have them hard wired. Mike did all three cars. The first trip to his shop he was pretty cool and I was Interested in updating the factory speakers to something a bit better. He showed me the systems and seemed pleasant. Which, if your going to spend money there he will be very accommodating. I ended up not having any stereo upgrades done and just had him do the hard wire kit for the radar detector. He told me drive around and just pull the car in his shop, which I did. Performed the work and off I went. Few months later I had another car that needed the same hard wire kit. I pulled to the rear of the building and parked at the entrance to the shop. I went to speak with Mike and told him about the hard wire kit. Seemed kinda irritated, probably because he wasn't making any money on a 20 minute job. Once he got started on the kit, he started talking smack about the car I brought in. How it's a pile of crap, not made well and various other derogatory comments. I thought he was joking or maybe his sense of humor was a bit dry. I blew it off as he was having a bad day. About 6 months later we bought a Dodge Challenger that I needed the same hard wire kit installed. This time I'd called ahead and told him I was coming. He had some smart ass retort about me having another car already, like it was any of his business. When I arrived this time, instead of parking at the entrance to his shop I just pulled the car right in the work area and parked. After a few minutes Mike came into the shop, face red, pissed off and starts scolding me for pulling into the shop. He told me "don't ever just pull in my shop like that again" and my response was, "don't you worry, you'll never have to worry about me doing it again." He proceeded to install the wiring kit and again, told me what a piece is shit my Challenger was and acted like he'd rather be getting a root canal. No Mike, I haven't forgotten the horrible way you spoke to me and treated me. That same pos Challenger had a 10k stereo upgrade installed by competitor about 3 months after you disrespected me in your shop. A title late posting this, by about 3 years, but I never forget. read more

My camera on my Jeep failed. They installed a new one and I drove it home. I paid for it. I called them later stating it wasn't what I wanted -- I needed backup colored lines that were bright. I returned it and they installed a new one at no charge. I offered to pay; but, they insisted it was part of their customer service. You can't get better service. My husband took our 2012 Acura TSX here to get a backup camera installed. The dashboard doesn't have room for a monitor, so the monitor is located is located in the rearview mirror. Keep in mind that the monitor only shows when the car is in reverse, otherwise it works like a regular rearview mirror. The camera is located near the rear license plate. Although this was a pricey upgrade to our five year old car, I felt it was worth the cost. It was very well done and looks OEM. Also, we plan to drive this car into the ground, so having a backup camera really helps me. Overall, I highly recommend this place. read more

I went here for a consult based on the awesome Yelp reviews. Unfortunately I was not impressed. I felt like they were not really interested in helping me since I just needed a basic head unit upgrade for my commuter car. Asked what kinda stereos he had, first thing he said was, "money talks." When asked if I wanted to keep my steering wheel controls (of course yes), he said, "money money money. That's what I like to hear." Only a few models to actually see, not even a catalog, and prices weren't totally clear. When I did the math in my head, my "basic" unit would cost at least the price of a mid model. Spending over $300 on something I can't even see beforehand is kinda odd also. Made me feel dumb when I had questions. Um, I am a radio layperson, that's why I am not doing this myself. My gut said no, and I was very underwhelmed, so I will be buying and installing elsewhere. read more

I bought an older diesel and brought it to mike at tune time and he built me a custom box that fits perfectly behind my back seat, wired up my subwoofers and amp installed a double din head unit and back up camera. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work he put into my vehicle he was very knowledgeable and didn't beat around the bush. I just went back to get all the door speakers done and again he killed it I couldn't be happier with the work he did. I'm always a little worried when I see a review with so many 5's, but after visiting Mike at Tune Times, I can say that the reviews are absolutely warranted. First off, Mike is great to work with, funny as hell and absolutely knowledgeable about cars and stereos. What I found when I met him is that he had gone through a battle with throat cancer, and that leaves him only able to converse using a throat mic. When I called, I heard this robotic voice speaking to me, but after getting over the initial shock, had a blast with it when he started cracking wise over the phone. My point is this, don't let his voice throw you off. He took his time to make sure he understood my goals with the installation and that what we were doing was going to meet them. He was very careful in the car, explained some of the decisions he was making, and checked multiple times that everything was working as it should. He also wasn't the type to keep you behind a painted line or in the waiting room, but allowed me to stick my nose in to see what was happening to my baby. And best part of all, he was cheaper than other options I had looked at! Best experience ever with a stereo installer and will be returning with another car. read more
