My first experience here was unacceptable, it was borderline racist. The restaurant was not busy. There were three servers on the floor, yet we sat for roughly 25 minutes without being acknowledged once - other than being sat. During that time, the tables directly in front of us and right next to us were greeted, served, and had their orders taken while we were repeatedly ignored. After enough time passed, I finally asked if there was a reason no one had come to our table. The response? Blank stares, an indifferent "uh," and continued avoidance. The server assigned to our table repeatedly walked past us while refusing to even make eye contact. As the only Hispanic woman in the establishment at the time, and the only table being deliberately overlooked, the optics were not subtle. It was uncomfortable enough that nearby patrons also appeared to notice what was happening. If the issue was staffing, say that - but it is obvious that staff shortage was not the issue. If there was confusion about sections, say that. But openly ignoring customers while serving everyone around them is unacceptable, unprofessional, and speaks for itself. Food was absolutely horrible. Four of our six plates came out incorrect and cold. The waitress saw the mistakes on each plate and still decided to serve us the food incorrectly instead of having the kitchen fix the mistakes prior to bringing it out to us. We sat for over an hour waiting on our food once we ordered the waitress only came out twice. Once our food arrived. My children were not even able to eat so we will be heading to another restaurant to feed them lunch after spending $127 for absolutely horrible food in service. Went here for Father's Day dinner. I ordered the meatloaf, and my husband had the pork. The pork was sweet and delicious. The meatloaf was also very tasty. The service was alright. Just left Tupelo Honey and can't believe the disinterest that the manager had. My husband and I ordered chicken. It was so over cooked neither one of us could cut it. We called over the waiter he made all kinds of excuses. We asked for a manager, and the person that came has all the warmth of a rock. He barely spoke and said that he would redo them. I guess it was a big problem. There was only one other table occupied at the time. A few minutes later our food arrived. As we ate the manager walked by our table three times, each time he turned his head away. Someone should tell this person that the duties of a good manager is to see that the places runs smoothly and the customers leave happy. I wish I could give them zero stars. So disappointed- we have had previous good experiences. However today was the worst. We arrived with family (party of 6). The waitress had a poor attitude and seemed put out to even take our order. There were very few people in the restaurant. It took our food over 1 hour to arrive with no explanations or apologies. We were very courteous and understanding that maybe there was a staffing issue. Drinks were never refilled and condiments requested arrived when we were finished with our meal. Half of our party had to depart without eating to get to a function. We were excited to try this location. It took over two hours to get us seated. We did not have a reservation for 6, but half the restaurant was empty. The bartender, Heather, was great. The atmosphere has a cool vibe. Comfortable and welcoming. Service was good but the real stars were the drinks and food. For drinks we had the Bloody Mary and the cold mocha latte. Really good and refreshing. For the meal we had chicken and waffles and the buttermilk tenders with Brussels sprouts. All were so delicious. Brussels sprouts were crispy and delicious. I waited about 3-4 minutes & then asked the bartender what was going on. She was kind enough to come over & get our drinks & food order. It took forever to get our food (we arrived at 6:55 and got our food at 7:50) and it was mediocre at best. The wait staff completely ignored us even when giving us our food. So rude. Food was really good. I got the biscuits, with blueberry jam and gravy. There was one biscuit that I kept getting hits of salt with, I did try the butter, blueberries and gravy all separate but only got the salt hit in the biscuit. Also ordered the whiskey and onion burger with salt and pepper Brussels as the side. They did not lie about salt on those Brussels, at least half of them. Lots salt comments in on this review. Was difficult to find using google. Had to use Yelp to get the correct address. It's in the Publix plaza. Very nice inside, clean, friendly staff. Got the smash burger ok Tate but extremely messy with all the stuff on it. Wife got the Salmon chopped salad (it wasn't chopped) had to track down a steak knife. She was disappointed.. Biscuits were so, so.. blueberry compote saved it. It was strange that they had 4 people at the front desk, at one point one of the women starts vacuuming in the middle of lunch. We came in with a larger party for lunch. Love the ambience. Server was Ashley and was attentive and efficient. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Melt. The sourdough was crisp and perfectly cooked . Loved the homemade ranch. However , breading was kinda falling off the chicken and it was not spicy at all. I didn't really mind because I don't want it too spicy. One of the best chicken sandwiches ive had in a while. Other guests enjoyed their choices such as chicken poblano soup, chicken and waffles, salads , and blueberry lemon drop!
