The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a nice night out, either a girls night or a date night. The staff is so friendly and very attentive! We started with the Lavas bread and Cucumber dip. The bread was a bit like pizza crust with no sauce, which was good! The dip was also great! For dinner, we both got the chicken şiş (kabobs), as we aren't very familiar with Turkish food so we wanted to find something easy to try! The chicken was very tender and the rice was great! First time at a Bosphorous location and had a great experience! Beautiful and swanky on the inside and quite spacious. Walked in on a Friday around 8:30pm and got some seats at the bar with two friends. I had the Turkish red wine and liked it. Our bartender had some good food recommendations that we took him up on -- the muhammara and lavash was a delicious starter along with a duel plate of hummus and ezme. For an entree the three of us split the mixed grill for two. I enjoyed everything on the plate and we all had plenty of leftovers! Definitely can serve way more than two people! And even though I was so full we went all in and concluded with kunefe and tea. Also a huge portion but wasn't mad about it! And reheats well in the air fryer lol. Started with the dip sampler appetizer and was a little surprised that it didn't come with bread. I had to order the lavash separately, which felt like ordering salsa and then being told chips are extra. That said, the lavash was great, and things really took off from there. I ordered the chicken skewer rice plate for my entrée, and i think it ascended me into a higher state of consciousness. It was incredibly flavorful, perfectly balanced, and great portion sizes. Loved it so much booked birthday dinner there for next month. First the cocktail selection is really intriguing and international. I got the Turkish french 75 - my new favorite version of the classic. My friend really enjoyed her wine and thought they had a great selection. The food. We shared a small plate and an appetizer. We ordered the SIGARA BÖREĞI filo dough stuffed with a creamy feta cheese. We shared a lamb flat bread. With cabbage on the side and a creamy oil vinegar sauce. We both really liked it and topped some of it with the cabbage. We also loved the atmosphere the big bar and Turkish lights that lined the bar and big Turkish chandelier at the front. Had a really nice dinner with friends at Bosphorous on a Wednesday night. Made a reservation on OpenTable, but they weren't full. The cocktails are a 7/10. Passable, but could be so much better. The mixed platter of dips was delicious and it was so fun to try all of the different ones on the menu. The bread comes out fluffy and hot. Everyone enjoyed their mains, which was a huge plate. However, I would have preferred a smaller portion of an alternative to the pickled and cold vegetables. The baklavas were both delicious so definitely save room for dessert. Looking forward to a delicious lunch, we were quickly disappointed. They were out of my first 3 white wine choices. The only beer offering for my husband was a Turkish one - ok, but the only choice. The wait staff was slow to respond taking our order. When it arrived we still had not been served our drinks. The appetizers were acceptable, but covered with American french fries. This is a truly elegant place inside. The food was excellent. We all had something different and enjoyed it. My husband had a chicken kebab, a friend had lamb and I had a whole fish. It was a little startling when the whole beast showed up on the plate. But very easy to eat. It was so perfectly baked. It literally fell off the bones and was incredibly flavorful. We had been looking forward to coming in for weeks, so this was incredibly disappointing. The drink menu felt uninspired and dated--it honestly reads like something from 20 years ago. That's a really basic drink menu written in very fancy font. Seeing Absolut Peach in a cocktail immediately gave it a corporate, chain-restaurant vibe. The actual menu texture felt very Carrabba's and chain-like, which took away from what we expected to be a more elevated experience. Not including lavash with the dips and spreads feels unnecessarily stingy--especially when it's clearly something nearly every table will order. It would make much more sense to simply build that into the pricing. Service was the biggest issue. I arrived first and ordered drinks and an app at the bar. My partner arrived after and sat for 40 minutes and was never greeted. Our food was delivered to the wrong bar seat, and we had to bring it over ourselves. No one checked on us at any point. My drink sat empty for at least 20 minutes--we absolutely would have ordered another round if given the opportunity. We ended up paying and leaving after a quick appetizer because the entire experience felt so underwhelming. I'm honestly surprised to see so many five-star reviews. read more

One of the meals that someone else ordered was the stuffed cabbage and she said she couldn't eat it because it was just not good. I had the Donner kebab. My friends had chicken kebab and another had chicken with okra and another had moussaka. Everyone was totally pleased. We had been patiently waiting for this place to open, and we were NOT disappointed. First, the restaurant itself is beautiful. It's a colorful, welcoming environment buzzing with life at 6:30 on a Saturday. We sat at the bar with Smiley and Umut who took great care of us first-timers. We started with the Turkish Coffee Martini and the Old Fashioned Turk. Didn't get photos of those, but they were both well-balanced drinks that were sweetened perfectly (not the super sweet drinks you find most places). The two of us could easily have had an app and split an entree making this a very reasonable dinner. Instead, we chose to feed the neighborhood! Everything was very good. In order of preference, Special Beyti Kebap, white bean salad, muhammara (with lavash), and lamb sauté with coconut scented rice pilaf. Food is always outstanding. I love to always start with a La Vash and hummus. I like the Chicken Sauté with white meat chicken, peppers, onions, and mushrooms and the to die for jasmine rice.
