They use AI for their food photos so they engage in false advertising. Why would I eat your food if you can't even post real pics of it?

you gotta get the cauliflower !!!…read more we made a reservation for friday night and it was pretty busy so i assume it was needed. very elegant casual place. skinny wine stems but flavorful and good portioned food. the cauliflower was the favorite. the whipped ricotta i could've loaded on more because there was so much in the jar! we also got the what bucatini but it was very wheat forward (i know that sounds silly but) i would suggest a different pasta dish . great dishes staff and ambiance !

My son and his girlfriend have been there many times, and insisted we get the whipped ricotta appetizer and kale salad. Both of these items were top notch, as were the cocktails and we enjoyed. The pasta bolognese that the ladies ordered was delicious. My son had the burger and fries, and it was fine, just not very special. I ordered the "half" chicken, thinking as a bird themed restaurant, the only poultry entree would be a star, but that was not the case. A small thigh and half of a breast was their interpretation of a half chicken, and this was noted on the menu, but the portion was disappointing. The dish was supposed to to be accompanied by polenta with trumpet mushrooms, but two paltry slices of mushroom with a small smear of polenta completed the dish which "artfully" only occupied the left half of the plate, leaving the rest of the plate bare. Small portions aside, the dish was overly salty, to the point I had dry mouth the rest of the night, and the chicken was overcooked. The taste was fine, and the little bit of polenta added enough moisture to make the dish work. The worst thing was the incredibly dull dinner knife that couldn't cut through the mushroom, let alone the chicken, causing me to apply the stab and pull/tear method to get bite sized pieces. Everything thing else was superb. I would go back for the cocktails and appetizers, perhaps grazing the appetizers and a salad as a dinner. The pastas all looked terrific, but I will probably steer clear of the four mains on the menu, as they seem to be the least inspired items to order.

Really great experience from a friendly neighborhood place!…read more Came on a colder spring day where they were still willing to serve us outside with our dog. So thankfully they were willing to do that! Servers were so friendly to us and our pupper. They even turned the patio heater on for us! This place is a must for anyone out with their dog! All the food was delicious and brought out quick. Loved the Mac and cheese squares! The drinks were well balanced and I had a delightful Bloody Mary! All the portions were generous and well worth the price. Excellent quality all around! The location is amazing in the heart of Ravenswood. It's perfect for a date, catching up with friends, or an impromptu late lunch in early spring! Can't wait for another visit after warmer weather sets in!

I realize that their staff was limited, but are they unable to figure out that they could seat the waiting people (or a stroller) at an empty table and not use another table? The veggie burger was inedible. I asked if anyone likes it, and the server said "some people do". Not a ringing endorsement! There are many other restaurants on the block. Try another place.

My younger daughter and i came here for an early dinner. Unfortunately, i wasn't extremely hungry…read moreso a large sandwich was out of the question for me. She ordered the Jerry G Cheez w/bacon, bleu cheese on the side and BBQ beans. I got a side Caesar salad. Wish i was hungrier 'cuz some of the sandwich descriptions looked delish. The wait staff seemed very cool and one of the servers brought a customer whipped cream for her little pooch. There was a lot of good people watching in the plaza. Our meals came out pretty quickly. The cheese sandwich was pretty large w/good cheese pull. My salad was delicious and i added the bleu cheese from the side of my daughters' plate making it even more enjoyable. Think i'll order Caesar's w/bleu cheese all the time. Turns out my daughter wasn't as hungry as she thought she was, so we brought home half the sandwich, which was good even the next day. We really enjoyed this place.

Five stars for the sandwiches. Zero stars for the performance art at the hostess stand…read more I've eaten here twice. The food is consistently excellent. Unfortunately, so is the hostility. Both times I came in to pick up a to-go order, the hostess greeted me with the kind of expression you'd expect if I'd just offended her. I gave her my name--Ryan--and both times she confidently informed me there was no order for Ryan, dismissed me, and acted as though I had wandered into a private event instead of a restaurant where I had literally paid for food. The second visit somehow managed to top the first. After being treated rudely yet again, I made the outrageous decision to tell her she was being rude. Rather than doing something radical like apologizing or checking on my order, she followed me outside onto a crowded sidewalk, yelling at me to "say that to her face." A male employee joined the spectacle, scolding me while she continued shouting after me in front of customers eating outside. I've never had a takeout order come with complimentary public humiliation and a sidewalk shouting match. The truly ironic part is that the sandwiches are good enough that I wanted to become a regular. Instead, I've learned that ordering takeout here comes with the chance of being treated like you're not welcome and humiliated. People remember how you make them feel. I didn't leave here feeling very good either time.

Now you only get that basement vibe when you head to the bathroom. lol Monti's is a legit cool kid now, and I'm not mad at it at all. The cheesesteak? Still doing what it's supposed to do. I ordered one to go and demolished it later that night, like usual. I did sit in and have a few beers and bites. Somehow I've been sleeping on the onion rings and wings this whole time. Listen, listen, listen, Linda, the onion rings; Do Not Change Them!!! Don't you dare switch to those battered, frozen, chain-restaurant rings of bull-s. These are the good rings. Now, the wangzzzz. I'm not going to pretend these are the absolute best wings in the entire city, but they are absolutely in the "I will randomly crave these on a Tuesday" category. The meat could use a little marinade situation to bring more flavor inside, but that crispy coating holds up to the sauce like a champ. I like it, I like it, I like it. Extra points for a buffalo sauce that actually has some thickness to it and isn't just "here's some hot sauce, on a wing being called buffalo sauce. Now, I am going to need to try some of the other wing sauces, but if they hold up too. I would rather come here than go to some other well known wing spots. Honestly, I can see myself rolling through just for wings, rings, and vibes. And that Golden Monkey beer? Yeah, go ahead and keep that on tap forever. Please and thank you. haha
