I had a previous experience at the Turning Point's Sea Girt location that was unfortunate and it was not a true reflection of the way generally operate. When I complained, the management team went above and beyond in reaching out to me with me complimentary entrée cards in order to invite me back to give them another chance, so I went there with a friend today. And oh boy am I glad I did! What a turnaround! It an awesome experience from start to finish. The breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was top-notch.. They completely turned my perception around....as in a full "ONE EIGHTY" and I can't say enough nice things to recommend them. It is rare indeed in today's day and age to see a business care so much about customer satisfaction. Love a turning point! this location has a great layout and a really nice large patio. We came in after a Long Beach day as I googled kid friendly lunch spots in the area. And unknowing to me we came an hour before they closed (3pm they close) and they were happy to seat us and all the staff there were very friendly. The food came out fast and fresh. Our kids must have worked up an appetite on the beach because my daughter has never finished Mac and cheese so fast. She ate her entire meal, her grapes then some of my chips. And she's pretty picky. I like that her drink came with her kids meal and they have cute kids Menus and actual Crayola crayon packets! The restaurant is clean and beachy decorated. Very pretty inside. Nice location and good service. I had a birthday coupon which clearly indicated free entree but the manager said it was for a special so my pink horchata was free not an entree. It's only $6 but not real clear about the perks. Our entrees were all great but the hostess tried to seat us at a table with cereal underneath and a strawberry on the seat. Nothing that would stop me from visiting again but my last visit I found a plastic bread tie in my food. Yet again nothing major but always something minor. One day it will work out. read more

I have eaten at various Turning Points and must admit, this one is my favorite, out of all the ones I have been to. I have frequented this location several times, meeting up with a couple of friends. Each and every time, we found their service both extremely attentive and accommodating. We all order various foods and have found our food quite enjoyable. When it comes to our beverages, many of us order coffee, lattes, and most recently a milkshake. Our conclusions collectively are as follows: they are not good with their espresso drinks as we had to send them back because they tasted burnt. Their coffee is very good, and their milkshakes are good. They keep the establishment a little on the cool side so be sure to bring a light sweater. Bathrooms can be found on the first floor and there are plenty of parking spaces up front. read more

They need to start taking more care with the quality of the food they're serving. For instance, I have to ask them to toast the English muffins instead of just slicing it and putting some sort of liquid oil on it. They can do better. It's a great location and a great menu. I like it here. The food is very good. The only problem is service is extremely slow. I met friends here and when I arrived they had their drinks. I waited 15 minutes before the server came and took my drink order. At that time we all put in our food order. Then we waited close to 30 minutes before being served our food. Have been going here for years. But last time a couple of Sundays ago had to leave after sitting there for over 15 minutes without as much as an offer of water! We sat it the back corner on the right of the restaurant. Despite 2 or 3 waitresses serving in the area, none of them helped us, even when serving tables next to us. Good thing as a result, went to a new place, Honey Bee's, who served us quickly & pleasantly with great food. Sorry TP, you've lost us. Too many good places around to be treated this way. read more

Running errands this morning and decided to stop by one of my favorite restaurants: Turning Point. Not only was my food great but the service from Kyle was great and Xavier even helped me figure out what was wrong with my cell phone. He asked me how my day was going and I complained that I had been having difficulty with my internet connection for the past few weeks. I've been a customer since the Sea Girt restaurant opened and have seen a transition from extraordinary to ordinary and now back to extraordinary. The restaurant has outdoor seating space a very safe distances, fans, a tent, and is certifying employees and chemicals used as safe and effective. I'm usually a huge fan of Turning Point but this one was just okay. I usually order an iced vanilla chai which tasted a little watered down compared to how I remember it. My boyfriend said the omelet and potatoes were a little undercooked, and the omelet was more like an egg with spinach and onions on top instead of mixed in. If you're reading this hopefully this server got fired... but beware: So me and my friend decided to come here for breakfast around 10AM. We were greeted by the hostess and she had us sat and said our waitress would be with us soon. After about 20 min, the hostess realized we still were not helped and took our drink order, and then another 10-15 minutes went by and our waitress finally came over to ask what we wanted (quote: "what do you want" *with an attitude). Another 45 minutes went by until we got our food (mind you it was avocado toast and a omelette platter) and our waitress didn't even check on us, nothing. Also, did not appreciate when my friend told this girl about a nut allergy and she went ahead and said "okay great so extra peanuts for you" in a nasty rude voice. After a while we finally were able to get the check and asked for it to be split instead of one single check. I tried to be helpful and let her know which food and drink I had because she didn't bring out the food or take our drink order and then proceeded to yell at me on how she was very positive what we got and she just needs to know who's card is who's. (Got to the point where the mother and daughter next to us looked at us and we started laughing in shock). I would include our servers name but she never even introduced herself properly. I'd understand if this place was completely swarmed with people, but it was a Monday at 10AM, busy, but not packed and there was plenty of other tables being helped in a timely manner. Breakfast should not take almost 2 HOURS. I was really disappointed with the service, and with so many other Turning Points in the area, I would recommend trying a different one!!!!!!!!!!! The restaurant is understaffed. The wait between being seated and first contact with the wait staff was atrocious. The person who sat us put us at a very small table for two. The restaurant had several empty tables and booths. We asked to be moved to a nearby booth where we could be more comfortable. We were politely accommodated and asked what we wanted to drink. My wife requested water for now and I asked for a decaf coffee. Ten minutes later the waiter showed up to take our order and went through an elaborate explanation of how he was French pressing a fresh brew of decaf and it would be a while. We had noticed that even though the restaurant appeared busy most of the customers seemed to be waiting for their food. We only noticed two waiters and the young man who seated us. The menu is limited with a handful of ingredients whipped up in different forms to make up the dishes. While the sign outside says breakfast, lunch and brunch served, this is basically a breakfast establishment. No significant sandwich choices and even fewer meatless choices. The menu is a bit pretentious and set. Don't try to make any changes. No special orders here. Give me a Jersey diner any day of the week with an extensive menu, multiple choices and an endless cup of coffee ( not French pressed). We walked out disappointed. Amazing brunch place by the ocean! I love the turning point location in Westfield and the location in long branch is just as great! I got the big easy Benedict (I think that's the name) and the eggs were runny and perfect! The cornbread was really good too. They opened up outdoor seating for covid and were great about sanitizing. My one thing was that they brought the drinks in disposable plastic cups, I'm not sure if it's because of covid but the environmentalist in me would have preferred reusable. read more

Upon starting a few cans of high noon at the table, we received a highly aggressive talking-to from what I believe is the manager for having non-sparkling wine beverages. We were threatened to be kicked out, and a very large scene was created despite our cooperation on the matter.
