With a lot of ancient reviews, I thought I'd stop in R&B, formerly Edgar's, and update you Yelpers. The place looks different since I was here last so I'm assuming that the present decor is about 3 to 4 years old. Nicely done. We sat in the Sun room. Prices are commensurate with the venue. Lori, who has been employed here just 3days, did ok. See pix of what was consumed. Food decent. When the weather is decent during the summer they have bands in the parking lot, that part is cash only. 3stars??? Nothing jumps out, except the decor.

Great spot. Loved the casual vibe & the roof top. It rained so once it dried up a little we went upstairs & enjoyed the DJ and drinks. The bartenders were nice & response! Loved it.

Fish & Chips - delicious

This place was a cute little sports bar type restaurant in Sea Girt. The staff were friendly, but our server didn't show up much. However, this was some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. I rarely order fish, because I do not like a lot of breading, but this was cooked perfectly and delicious. I would recommend.

Dead fly in salad
Alex H.

I went for dinner with a group of 6. The service was a bit slow for dinner service. I ordered a salad for my entree and I went to mix in my salad dressing and as I was mixing a saw a dead fly in my salad. I was extremely repulsed by this as it was clearly in the romaine mix to begin with. I informed the waitress and she apologized and gave me a free drink token. She brought me another salad and did my take this off of the bill which I found to be I absurd that I was being charged for a salad that has a dead bug in it to begin with. I was no longer hungry after seeing the dead fly so I did not eat my salad. I will not be eating at Reef & Barrel in the future after this experience.

This is my first time here, and I will say, it has potential. We arrived early and it was a little bit dead. Now, it's closer to 7 o'clock and it's filling up. On Wednesday nights the band is setting up. The burgers were very good the lobster mac & cheese very good. Overall the portion sizes are a little small size but I enjoyed it. Good service, nice friendly waitress- attentive, good advice.

Burnt cheese.

I am absolutely so sad about this! Been bringing a whole group here every year for cheesy pizza goodness. Like ninja turtle, pull the piece apart and the cheese strings out a mile long, pizza. We were served burnt, crispy pizza this last time around, and we waited forever for it. If we weren't so hungry we would have probably realized we should have sent it back sooner than all of us grabbed slices and started nibbling. You could literally break the pizza in half with a cracking sound while all the pieces of crust crumbled to the tray. The place looks beautiful, but I'm not sure what's going on with the food now that it's not Edgars. I hope this was just a fluke, but it was truly disappointing. I hope to be back to write a better review at some point.

What a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! From the…read moremoment we walked into Olea, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The atmosphere is romantic, elegant, and just the right amount of sexy~ perfect for a special evening. Our waiter,Akeel, greeted us with a warm smile and was attentive, knowledgeable, and personable throughout the entire meal. Waiting for us at the table was a sweet anniversary card, and every staff member who passed by took a moment to wish us a happy anniversary. Those thoughtful touches made the evening feel so special. The manager even came over to introduce himself and surprised us with a complementary champagne~ a beautiful gesture that set the tone for the night. We started with the chilled shrimp cocktail, which was incredibly fresh, light, and perfectly chilled. My husband enjoyed the 24 ounce prime bone in ribeye with whipped potatoes on the side, cooked to absolute perfection. I chose the spicy rig, and it was every bit as delicious as I'd hoped after reading the menu. One of the highlights of the evening came when I noticed the pastry chef's name on the menu~ McKenzie Kleinkauf. She went to school with my son, so I asked Akeel if she happened to be there. A few moments later, she came out with the biggest smile, it was so wonderful to see her thriving and doing what she loves. It made our celebration even more meaningful. For dessert, we couldn't choose just one, so we shared the churro crullers and the blueberry cheesecake bread pudding. Both were absolutely incredible, and McKenzie added the sweetest, finishing touch by decorating our dessert with two hearts for our anniversary. The entire evening was memorable from beginning to end. Outstanding food, exceptional service, and heartfelt hospitality, made our first visit to Olea one will never forget. Thank you to everyone who made our anniversary so special. We can't wait to come back.

Every detail, from the beautiful décor to the attentive service, made us feel special. The meal was exceptional from start to finish. The chefs' commitment to quality was evident in every beautifully presented dish. From the appetizers to dessert, every bite exceeded our expectations. The fresh bread with sliced olives served dripping with rich olive oil and cheese was absolutely irresistible and the perfect way to begin the evening. The steak was cooked to perfection--rich, tender, and incredibly flavorful--and the delicious lobster tail made the perfect accompaniment. The flavorful spaghetti and clam sauce was incredible--with toasted breadcrumbs and packed with flavor in every bite. The pork was incredibly tender--so juicy and succulent. We also loved the broccoli rabe, it was best we ever had. The caesar salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly dressed. And don't skip dessert! Everything was delicious, including a standout tiramisu sundae that was rich, creamy, and the perfect finish to the meal, along with the churros--crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. The service was equally impressive and Gavin, our server ensured that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the outstanding attention from Evan, Peter and Alyssa who went above and beyond to make sure our night was fabulous. They were warm and attentive, and checked on us throughout the evening to make everything was perfect. Their hospitality made an already incredible dining experience even more memorable. Olea is more than just a restaurant--it's a dining experience. Between the phenomenal food, exceptional service, and beautiful and welcoming atmosphere, it's easy to see why so many people love it. Part One: Sunday This review is for two different visits…read morethis past week. One was for this past Sunday. We had Randi as our server and as first time visitors to this Sea Girt location, she helped us get acquainted with the menu and the restaurant as a whole. We were scouting it out for the following day to watch the Knicks Finals game. The restaurant is loaded with screens! They have larger screens on the wall and smaller ones all next to each other above the bar. And they pipe in the game sound once the game starts! So all boxes were checked off for us. We also had a delicious lunch. I had the Apple Salad with grilled chicken. It was fresh as could be, huge and so delicious. One of the best salads I have had in a long time. My husband was just as happy with his Caesar Salad and hamburger patty. He raved about the hamburger meat and we both ate every morsel of our meal. A great location as we just had left the beach and were starving! Randi's service was top notch and she is super nice and friendly. Matt, the Manager also stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was OK, which was great to see. Part Two: Monday The next day, we watched game 3 of the NBA Finals at Tommy's. Now we're already starting to become regulars! We had Julian as our server. Another great Tommy's employee! Turns out he went to high school with our son! Small world. It was our first time watching a game at the restaurant. We had a huge booth and plenty of room. It was drink special night on Monday, so we got 1/2 price specialty cocktails, which was nice. We ordered bar food this time - - wings, brussel sprouts, Caesar salad and margarita pizza, all of which were very good. Very impressed with the wings, that are baked and come with onions and peppers on top. Julian kept our glasses and bellies filled and, even though the Knicks lost, we had an amazing time at Tommy's for the game. Thank you Randi, Julian & Matt for a great week at Tommy's. We will be back soon.

The servers were very helpful and friendly, they guided me through all my questions about menu choices. The food was amazing, there was nothing that we ordered that we all didn't love from the Brussels sprout appetizer to a nicely done Cubano sandwich. I understand why it's a local favorite.

I should have been suspicious when I ordered a glass of prosecco at the bar and it was just super cheap tasting. It was only $10 so I guess you get what you pay for. There was also a gross dirty napkin just sitting on the bar that was not attended to. At the table, I ordered their peach spritz. It was not spritzy and light as one would hope. It was extremely sweet and gloopy with syrup. Not refreshing. My friend had the strawberry mocktail and had to send it back due to its unpleasant taste. The waitress was pleasant and just took it off our bill. We ordered a dozen oysters. These oysters tasted flat like old gray dishwater. I think maybe the kitchen didn't bother to spot check quality. I think these were Blue Points, but they tasted like wet bathroom slippers. Next we had the clams. These were actually very good, but after the oysters, I was expecting very little. We then tried the crab cocktail. For $30, it was 3 tablespoons of crab on garnish lettuce. The crab was just so so, a bit dry, and totally not worth $30. We both decided to try the lobster bisque. They overloaded it with heavy cream. But the worst part was the garlic bread on top. Hard, chewy and clearly STALE. For the price and low quality, Marina Grille should be ashamed of themselves.

Now this is not a typical restaurant since the place is really a party venue. They open the Grille on selected days and you have to call ahead to find out whether the Grille is open that day. We walked in and there was only one other couple in the room which is really the bar and a number of tables they must use for cocktails before larger functions begin. A family was celebrating one of its members' birthday we thought. There was also a good singer working the room that night. He could do Billy Joel to Elvis and played the guitar, keyboard and harmonica. He was right behind us and think it bothered him more about how close he was, but it wasn't an issue. He wanted requests and he got a few. The food was good but pricey. Dinner for two was for $125 including tip. There was an event in a larger room which our server was also working. We lost her at the end which extended our stay unnecessarily for another half hour.
