I've been here many times in the past 5+ years. Some visits are definitely better than others. The weekends tend to be busier so I would definitely recommend calling ahead to be put on a waitlist. It isn't a reservation but it kind of holds your spot in line. Unfortunately they don't have the waitlist through Yelp anymore. They have plenty of yummy options. I highly recommend the big easy benedict and any of the flavored pancakes, especially the cinnamon roll ones. My favorite entree was the southern chicken & waffles but unfortunately earlier in the year they completely changed the toppings so it no longer has the sausage gravy, bacon bits, and cranberries. It now has a siracha hot honey sauce on the side. It's not bad but just isn't the same. There's a good variety of drinks including specialty lattes, hot chocolates, tea, orange juice, fresh lemonade, etc. I personally really like the campfire latte. Each season they have rotating specials so there's always something new to try! The service is usually great and even though sometimes the food isn't as good (for example today my potatoes were a little under cooked) the good still outweighs the occasional not as good. I never like to complain but if you let your server know that something is wrong they will definitely make it right! read more

As a new mom, Turning Point in Westfield made my first outing so easy! Austin was our server and was very accommodating to my family and I. I came here with a couple of my friends since we were around the area. I have been to Turning Point at Marlton before, but never to the one in Westfield. The wait time on a Saturday around 12pm for a party of 4 was around 45 minutes. However, the wait was a lot faster than 45 minutes. The hostess and waitress were both super friendly and answered any questions that we had. I ordered a Basic Skillet. I had previously gotten the same thing at Marlton, and they both tasted amazing. Although I did find the English muffin to be a bit too oily/buttery, but it was delicious. The eggs and cheese went perfectly with one another, and the combination of this dish was just amazing. There were bits and pieces of onions and peppers, which added more flavoring to the dish. However, what made me only give it 4 stars was that none of the other employees were helping my waitress. It seemed that my waitress was the only one bringing out food for everyone and carrying out 4-5 drinks by herself. Although the staff are very friendly toward the guest, a lot of other staff members are slacking off on their job. One staff member was cleaning the table while the other staff member just stood around. They are not attending to their customers as much as they should. As a frequent customer of Turning Point, in particular the Westfield location, I am sad to say that today was my last time. Looking to catch up with a friend for brunch. First of all I looked to join the waiting list, where it said for a party of 2 there was no waiting time. As we get there to be seated, we were told it was at least a 20min wait, with at least 5 tables for 2 empty. Reasoning was the kitchen was backed up due to a large party, however the option of being seated to at least start enjoying coffee was not offered. After waiting almost 25mins we approached the hostess to ask how long it would be for our table, then we were seated in the exact tables that had been empty the whole time. We were served our drinks after about 20mins and food after an additional 10mins. We were not even halfway through our meal when the check was already placed on our table. We were told "no rush, whenever you're ready". We were approached at least two more times to see if we were done, my friend not having eaten her meal yet. From the time we were served our meal to the time Manager James came to our table, one hour and 15mins had passed. We were asked if we enjoyed our meal, however we were also asked to leave, due to the need for our table and a waiting list. As we walked out of the establishment, the bar was empty and the back room had at least 6 open tables. Food is excellent, no question, but this type of customer service was very distasteful. This doesn't even happen at a fast food restaurant! Extremely disappointed...just to add, my friend and I still ate at this establishment when they had a plumbing issue and we were served in plastic containers outside on the sidewalk. read more

The staff here is very friendly and we didn't even have to wait long to be seated. Our waitress was very helpful throughout our entire meal. Annie's Lemonade: This was very delicious and I like how the strawberries are blended into the lemonade. Pam's Half & Half: This was a little surprising to me because I thought it would be more sour or sweet. In fact it had more of a tea taste than the lemonade itself. Basic Omelette: The potatoes were a bit dry and needed a lot of ketchup. The eggs were cooked just perfect along with some peppers and onions inside of it. Grand French: This french toast is basically a plain french toast with barely any butter on it. This was not a good choice for someone that doesn't like syrup and only likes to use butter. Western Omelette: The potatoes for this was dry and some of the pieces were overcooked (burnt). The muffins that came with it was dry, had no butter or anything on it, and it was a bit hard. The ham was cooked perfectly and it had very little cheese on it. The eggs were cooked just the way I wanted it but it lacked a bit of flavor. (Ketchup solves all bland tastes) Flight of Pancakes: The Berry Chocolaty had fresh strawberries on top with some chocolate sauce on top. The Cinnamon Roll had the cinnamon taste in it and was good. The Bourbon Walnut Banana had fresh bananas on top with the walnuts and a lot of syrup. This one was not a good choice because to me it tasted meh and it could have tasted a bit better. Overall: Our waitress was fantastic with handling our orders and food. She did superb with customer service and was very helpful to us in many ways. Some of the food needs a little more work on it to give it a bit more flavor so I don't have to drown my food in ketchup. Super cute spot, such a large menu with many things to choose from, and extremely friendly staff! I ordered the shakshuka and a side of potatoes, and my friend ordered the strawberry banana nutella waffle - both came out quickly and were very delicious! My only complaint is that my shakshuka and potatoes were just a little bit on the room temperature side, as opposed to piping hot. I dined at Turning Point on 1/31/21 and gave them 5/5 stars and this is why! Everyone at my table enjoyed their meals. The skillets, waffles, and coffee were all enjoyed by my dining companions. I personally had the s'mores hot chocolate and the Grand French toast. I love almost anything with cinnamon. The French toast was awesome. It came nice and hot where the butter melted onto each slice perfectly and the syrup soaked deliciously into each bite. The portions were very filling and more than satisfying. The s'mores hot chocolate was a nice variation on a beloved classic. It was a huge cup and was awesome on a cold winter morning. The bacon was cooked great and was nice and crispy as I prefer it. The staff was helpful and very attentive. They gave good suggestions when we had questions and even helped explain the Valentine's Day promotion when we asked. There were a bunch of other items on the menu that looked delicious so I will certainly be returning to give them a try! read more

The Turning Point is one of my go to brunch spots because it has wonderful food and fantastic drinks. Their hot chocolates and chai lattes are all to die for and their Southern Chicken (chicken and waffles) dish is one of my favorite chicken and waffles I've ever had (and I have had A LOT). Their Martha's Vineyard salad is also a delicious option. They always have interesting new specials and very kind employees. Three tips: 1. Parking is not easy unless you're willing to pay for the lot behind the restaurant 2. There is always a wait even with call ahead so be prepared to hang out for a bit 3. BYOB! I've truly never had a bad time here and recommend it for anyone who loves brunch and/or delicious food! read more

This always used to be a great brunch place - I haven't been here in a while. They changed the menu and took off my favorite meal which was a quinoa dish that was great. Everything was always carefully made to order. However this time I asked for poached eggs and received then hard boiled. The avocado was good though. The orange juice tasted like out of a carton but he said it was fresh squeezed "someplace else". The prices were too high for what you receive. Not all turning points are the same. I really enjoyed the ambiance. I went on a day when it was super nice outside so there were people eating outside. It was very bright and inviting on the inside, there was a lot natural light. They were short staffed and had signs strategically located to communicate there may be delays which I appreciated. Still, the staff that was there were very kind an attentive. The food was okay. My 1st Cousin's, my sister & I got together for the first time in I don't know how long on 12/17/22. We arrived, annoyed because of the wait, initial reaction was never coming here again! Once we were seated, OMG, we had the best time! Catching up, sharing stories, realizing it's just us now & what we like to see in the future. The food was absolutely amazing! Delicious! Ugh I really wanted to give this 2.5 stars for my last experience. This is obviously a breakfast/brunch restaurant, but that doesn't mean your lunches should be lacking. I've had decent meals in the past (nothing to write home about, but decent). I was more in the mood for lunch at my recent visit and I was EXTREMELY Let down. I ordered the shrimp tacos and it was honestly pitiful what a received. The flavors weren't developed, shrimp was bland and should have been grilled.. the mango wasn't ripe... guacamole would have heightened the taste.. and the worst part was the taco tortilla. Ugh. Pretty sure it just came out of a package from shoprite and was thrown on the plate. So that being said... I had to lower previous rating..other guests I dined with were also less than impressed by their food. I will say that our server, (Sereena I think?) was amazing! I have tried to go to Turning Point for brunch on and off for a couple years now, but every time I have gone there the crowds in front were so huge (and the wait so long) I wound up going to my nearby favorites instead. However, on a recent visit to Westfield it was very late in the afternoon and the crowd had thinned out a bit. By "thinned out" I mean the wait was only 25 minutes as opposed to 45 so I decided to finally give Turning Point a try. The exterior and interior of Turning Point looks like a West Elm catalog exploded and came back together as a restaurant. I mean this in the nicest way possible because it really feels super cozy and comfortable. The main dining area is situated in such a way that a skylight allows natural light to wash over most of the dining area and it is beautiful when sunny. Okay, enough decor chat, let's get to the (amazing) food shall we? Here is what my girlfriend and I had during our visit: CORN BREAD FRENCH TOAST (Corn bread topped with vanilla mascarpone, fresh slices of golden delicious apples, honey walnuts and caramel sauce) This dish sounded so insane we had to try it and it was absolutely worth it. The french toast was cut thick and it had been battered and cooked so it was nice and warm. The mascarpone gave it an extra kick of sweetness and all the other ingredients came together perfectly to make this more of a dessert than an entree. TUSCANY OMELETTE (With marinated peppers, fresh spinach, spiced sausage and fresh mozzarella) The spiced sausage and mozzarella really made this omelette amazing. Not only was it tasty, it was *huge*. The omelette included potatoes (cut into cubes rather than the slices found in most diners) and a beautifully toasted and buttered english muffin. Odds are unless you're starving you'll wind up taking some of this home with you. NY DELI OMELETTE (Chopped pastrami, caramelized sweet onions, fresh baby spinach and melted domestic Swiss cheese) The description of this omelette was so crazy I had to order it. It was every bit as delicious as it sounds. The pastrami gave it a salty kick and some meaty chew. The onions added sweetness and the spinach helped balance it out. The swiss just made it decadent. The service was great. Our waitress did a great job keeping our water full and refilling my coffee. Overall my experience at Turning Point was fantastic and I can't wait to go back! read more

Experienced the worst service ever. Upon seating down we were greeted by the server. We asked for new glasses since our existing glassware smelled of Mildew.
