And to round it out, cookware, gadgets, cookbooks, aprons, linens and cutlery is also available. What I loved the most was the ivast variety of balsamic vinegars and olive oils with filling stations located in the center of the store. Once you select the flavor or varietal, you fill a bottle, which come in three sizes. I'm a huge fan and user of olive oils and can't wait to try several of the flavors. Seriously impressive! They even come in gift boxes so pick some up for hostess gives. Everyone always brings a bottle of wine but I prefer bringing a bottle of fine olive oil as it lasts way past the at night and the hostess can enjoy for many weeks. They even have cooking classes, which I hope will continue during these never ending Covid days. i will definitely going to sign up. Live cooking various cuisines and taking a class is the best way to get familiar with spice combinations and techniques. Staff is super helpful and friendly but not in any way pushy. Prices are very reasonable for such high quality items which is an added bonus. Will make this a definite stop any time i am in downtown Hood River. Already have Christmas and birthday gifts in minds. Five stars all the way and then some!

As a fine chocolate lover it is nearly impossible to find decent chocolate in Hood River anywhere close to 80% cacao and this store does not help. The tea selection was dreary and void of much originality. Pros: They do have a seemingly extensive variety of olive oil so if that's what your into -you would probably like this place. They also have kitchen wares that were reasonably priced.

They have plenty of outdoor seating for your little pups, though the water dish they left out was unattended to. As far as food, they had a whole plant-based menu to meet my vegan needs. More important, they were able to make a gluten-free sandwich for my partner with celiac. They took precautions to minimize cross-contact with gluten items, including wrapping the sandwich up separately and bringing it out to us first before bringing out our gluten containing items. The three in our group had mixed reviews on the food quality. I enjoyed my reuben very much. My partner and his mom thought their food was okay, and their portions were too small for the price. As far as the actual store goes, they carry a lot of what your typical natural foods store or food co-op would carry, though the prices seem more along the lines of what a Whole Foods would charge. For example, $3.50 for a single avocado. Considering that they are a small business in a somewhat touristy town, I guess that is a sound business decision. All in all, a good experience, just expect to pay a little more if you are going to shop or eat there!

The pale blue and yellow checkered floor with walls painted in a swirl of candy cotton colors, just shouts Sweet Spot! One wall is lined with clear bins filled with candy you scoop into a bag, and pay by the pound. This way you can choose what and how much you want. Most of these candies are gummies and Swedish fish type candies with some milk chocolate options like M&Ms. Definitely catering to the kids, which makes sense, but I do wish they had some dark chocolate options for adults. We crave candy, too! On the opposite wall, they have candy bars and treats from around the world. You definitely need to visit this section just to see the flavors and novelties that are not common in the US! The Kit Kat bars from Asia have flavors like matcha and siracha. There are Mac & cheese gummies, hot dog shaped gummies, hot bear gummies, white chocolate fish shaped candy bars, and more. This section also has old time candy which is so nostalgic. If you have children, grandchildren, or for the child in you, you must visit this new addition to Hood River and pick up some fun sweets!

Saw this place while eating lunch nearby and the menu looked good so we decided to come back for dinner. While we would have preferred to sit outside, there was no availability. They sat us right next to the window though so it was basically like we were outside anyways so no complaints there. The bone marrow to start was a fantastic choice. I love bone marrow and this one did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked and great flavor I was getting every little bit out. For my main I was conflicted but decided to go with the octopus. I ate every bite of food on my plate it was so good. Octopus can be tough and chewy but this one was cooked so perfectly that I wished there was more. The sauce had a slightly spice to it as well which was really good especially on the potatoes.
