Smoker of fish that smelled wonderful

Cannot recommend highly enough. Family owned, they fish the river and prepare all their products themselves onsite. The quality of the product is fantastic and the people working the stand are exceptionally kind. For example, we had already made our purchase, and the gentleman gave us extra pieces to try, literally hot off the smoker. It was just a really pleasant experience.

Wild Columbia Salmon has the best fresh fish in The Gorge. Doug, the owner, is friendly and offers affordable prices. Beyond the fresh King Chinook, Steelhead and Salmon eggs, he has the most delicious alder smoked salmon around. Both peppered and un-peppered. Highly recommended!

Good fresh salmon Doug spent time with us to explain how he prepares and catches the fish. He will let you try fresh salmon straight off the smoker !! I will be back for more the prices are more than fair.

Smoked salmon fillet on left, smoked "salmon scraps" on right. Delicious.

Picked up a 2-lb filet fresh as the morning chickens from these guys -- and they threw in a free chunk of smoked fish to go. Yum.

Tiny covered stand for smoked and fresh fish. Prices are reasonable for fresh and local fish, and service is very friendly.

Found a piece of long black hair stuck to the salmon skin, took it to them and they did nothing!! Disgusting and rude.

First of all, the drive into the town was gorgeous and scenic. What a restaurant with a view! Easy parking and plenty of seating on the inside. Second, the staff were incredible. From the moment we walked in, the young lady taking our order was friendly, welcoming, and helpful with our questions as non-locals. Another co-worker was helpful in helping us to get seated and bringing out food/drinks. Wonderful service, thank you! Third, the food was AMAZING! Everything we ate was fresh, hearty, and so flavorful. We shared a cup of clam chowder and it was so creamy and delicious. My husband got the fish and chips with the Cajun seasoning and it was so scrumptious! And very filling! I got the smoked salmon po'boy and it was so decadent. I loved every bite and walked away stuffed! And, on top of it all, prices were so reasonable for such fresh fish and ingredients! If we are ever in the area again, we are going to be sure to stop by Brigham Fish Market. It is worth every minute of the drive, every dollar, and every bite! Thanks for an amazing lunch!

I'm not making that mistake again! Dickey's is so worth the stop! Inside is so large and spacious. Lots of bins of fresh produce based on what's in season. Blackberries, peaches, blueberries, apples, corn, various greens, melons, green beans, strawberries to name a few. Plus all your produce staples like onions, potatoes, various salad greens, broccoli, spinach, shallots, lemons, limes, green onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers and more. Many of their their products are jarred for sale. They have several types of jams from local farms. Get the red-sour cherry and the marionberry! Oh, and the fig jam, so good with prosciutto on pizza or a crostini. They have lots of Dickey's pickled veggies, too: beans, garlic, asparagus, carrots, giardena. And so many salsas with various fruit. Don't forget to pick up a jar of local. honey - they have all sizes and the prices can't be beat. Very nice selection of local wines, too! Some of their other customers told me to buy a frozen fruit pie, raving about how they taste homemade. I was tempted, but I wasn't heading straight home so I'll make a special trip for that when I'm entertaining or invited to dinner. They were out of fresh eggs, but I'm glad to know they carry them for when my egg dealer is out. Yes, that's what I call her! LOL. Once you start cooking with fresh eggs, there is no going back. They also have lots of pet and farm animal supplies, perennials and house plants. Plenty of parking out front, make Dickey's a stop anytime you are passing through Bingen on Hwy 14.
