    Crab legs

We go here for crab legs. The sides are average tasting but the crab is so good. You cannot beat it for the price. Perfection!

The drinks and drink prices are the only good thing about this place.

Definitely a bar! Oyster strips were flavorless and way too chewy and okra served with hidden valley ranch. The Cajun pan roast was pretty good. It was served with store bought bread... Restaurant smelled of smoke but the service was excellent. Staff was very attentive. They also had great drink deals!

Just posing for a fun photo!

Had a blast the other night listening to karaoke after a nice dinner at Turtleheads. Went with several friends and made new ones. I really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere.

Stuffed shrimp with spicy cream cheese or some kind of magic sauce that makes it taste incredible.

It doesn't look like much walking in but the minute you hit door the Turtlehead magic begins! Loved the atmosphere & the people were incredibly friendly! Great happy hour drinks and the food was delish!!!! No desserts but who needs them after all of that food!

    Blue point oysters.

That personal connection aside, Crabby's delivers an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. It does lean towards being a bit more expensive, but the quality of the food and the care in presentation make it worth the splurge. I ordered the gnocchi marsala with chicken, and it was nothing short of heavenly. Pillowy gnocchi paired with a rich, savory sauce that lingered beautifully. Mrs. K. chose the salmon pancetta, which arrived as a work of art on the plate, perfectly cooked and elegantly presented. She enjoyed it very much, savoring each bite. And of course, we couldn't resist ending the evening with a crème brûlée: creamy, infused with vanilla, and topped with that satisfying caramelized crust that cracks just right under the spoon. Crabby's is the kind of place where you go not just to eat, but to celebrate, to linger, and to enjoy the finer side of dining in Joplin. It's polished without being pretentious. That is one of our issues though. Is the menu online is different Than the menu in the restaurant my wife had her heart set on duck, but there is no duck. She changed to the crab cake instead. The crabcakes were fairly large, and not overly bread. They were very good. I had the seafood medley, which was a great value for the price. The scallops were probably the best thing on the plate. They work perfectly. We started off the meal with Aji tuna nachos. that was the best bite of food tonight. They were delicious and we scarf them all down. If you are coming on a weekend evening, please make sure to call ahead for a reservation. We are very happy with the amount of parking. As we are out of towners, it's always nice to find a restaurant where parking is easy. The ambiance was cozy. Our service was great, Maddie was our server and I highly recommend her!

Definitely make reservations if you have a larger party. Restaurant has a decent bit of bar top seating at an older looking bar. They sat us in a back room at a very nicely presented white table clothed table. We ordered the hot crab dip for an appetizer. It was delicious. 10/10 recommend. For my entree, I ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare with the brown sugar brussel spouts. I almost always have to season my steak, but this was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Carley was our server and she was the perfect mix of being attentive while also not being at our table too often. Next time I am in town, I'll definitely be stopping by for dinner.

But we will definitely make a trip back this way to eat here again. Filet was by far the most fantastic thing. Hands down you should get the filet. Are you a ribeye man? Get the filet. The medallions were good but the filet was superior. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the sweet corn casserole. It was sweeter than cake, sweeter than icing. This would have been ten star on if they went a more savory route. The twice baked potato was delicious incredible. And surprisingly, the Caesar salad was one of the best we've ever had. And we have traveled a LOT. We really REALLLLLLY enjoyed the beverages from the bar. They were mixed perfectly. The signature old fashioned (BW) is a little n the sweeter side but really full of flavor. It was a nice little dinner!

Yet, Joplin has one of the best Mexican food restaurants I've ever eaten in. A mix of authentic and Tex-Mex. For example: steak is one of their specialties and is offered on many items. It's a thin steak but what a great flavor! Not dressed up with a bunch of condiments which let's that wonderful chargrilled flavor through. And they serve huge pieces. Then they have French fries with steak pieces {a lot!}, and dressed like all the way nachos. And they have a huge menu. Order a drink and read it through. If you're a chili relleno lover, don't leave without getting one. Authentic red chili sauce and a large amount of cheese in the middle. I don't want to skip further mention of the drinks. They are large and they are good! Unbelievably, they use fresh juices in their drinks. If you've never had a margarita with fresh fruit juice. these are out of this world good. But unlike most Mexican places, they also offer craft drinks (blackberry) and they too are huge and good . Beer of corse is plentiful. The variety, the music but especially the food elevate this restaurant to my highest recommended Mexican restaurant anywhere in the US. (The service is good but only if you get the guy that's always buzzing around or if you speak Spanish.. or take your translating earbuds ). I went back home last time dreaming of this place and couldn't wait to get there on this trip. And just a note: The Habaneros in the orange building on some busy street (sorry I'm a tourist) is not, I hear, owned by the same people. I don't know about the others. Final word: hurry to Habaneros on Main before someone steals their chef and their bartender, as is what usually happens to really good chefs and bartenders. They can make or break a restaurant, as I often state. Bon Appetito!

Our waiter gave us this card with his name on it so that we could do a review with the restaurant. He certainly deserves it.
