Do not order the burger. The worst burger I've ever had. No flavor or seasoning in the meat whatsoever. Bun was dry.

Gave the hotel restaurant a try. Ordered a burger and side salad ( additional cost) to go.. Do not order the burger. The worst burger I've ever tasted. No flavor or seasoning in the meat. The meat patty was so thick and just bland. Bun was dry. The salad just had cheese, whole cherry tomatoes, and pickled vegetable (ended up being pickled cucumber?). Not a good salad combo for flavor either. For $21.30, I would have expected better quality food. Super disappointed.

I stayed at this hotel, so it was convenient to go down to get the food. I ordered the Tussie Mussie salad with chicken to go. They gave me the salad, and after I went to my room, I realized there was no salad dressing in it. I went back down to get the dressing. The server didn't even apologize. He just said, "What dressing do you want?" The salad itself was ok, nothing special to rave about. It has half a devil egg with no taste, a few cherry tomatoes, and romain lettuce.

Food was delicious and a great whiskey selection with allocated unicorns to try too. Gluten allergy friendly/safe.

Yes, this is a hotel restaurant, but it could easily stand on its own as a great little place! I was surprised by the mediocre reviews because it was definitely better than average! It seems that the menu was changed somewhat recently, so maybe it was an improvement. Anyway, the entrees are new takes on Southern classics. There's nothing earth shattering, but everything tasted fresh and it was all REALLY good. My friend and I split the fried chicken and the shrimp po' boy, which were both crispy and hot. The pimiento Mac n' cheese was fantastic. The "Bright as a Button" cocktail was a great accompaniment - fresh and not too sweet. Service was good. At 8:55 each night, you can have a (generous) sample of a speciality cocktail, and then get 50% off another. (The cocktail was another Bright as a Button and I loved it so much I ordered it two more times!) The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. There isn't much seating but it was never crowded. If you're looking for somewhere quick and easy in between downtown and campus, I can't think of a better spot!

Were they really shine however is their brunch. They have all sorts of biscuit combinations with wonderful toppings like fried Green tomatoes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, shrimp, crab cake, you get the idea. They also have a full bar and a good beer tap selection. Service is fantastic and if you become a regular they'll know you by name and what you drink. This is a great spot for crunch game day whatever. One thing I want to mention also is there fantastic happy hour it is Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and they offer $3 sliders, french fry specials, chicken wing specials, and a special of the week. They also have specials on well drinks and draft beer you really can't go wrong for an after work snack and around to drinks over here. one thing to note is that they do take reservations throughout the week, but they do not take reservations for brunch. So if you want to get brunch especially on a game day, make sure you show up about 10 minutes before the doors open which is 11:00 a.m. get a seat at the bar and watch one of the two big screen TVs and I'm sure they will take care of you.

We came on a very busy Saturday night (weekend of Dogwood Festival, theatre night, and prom night)…read more Thankful to have a reservation, we were promptly seated while others with no reservation were being told three hour wait times. I loved the vibe of Tupelo, the hanging lush green plants on the side of the bustling kitchen, the cheerful staff and the lively music. Lizette was our server and she was just a darling. It was our first time here, and she was so helpful with her all of her recommendations. One of Lizette's favorites was the "Peach, don't kill my vibe" sangria. Which I just loved. I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. We loved everything about Tupelo and hats off to Lizette for making our night even more special!!

It will remain a favorite place when we're in Tennessee.

We dined on a Sunday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. Service was excellent and fast with many folks checking on us throughout our meal. The menu has sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken fingers, ribs and more! It's definitely more focused on chicken. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, grilled chicken sandwich with avocado, 3-piece chicken tenders and kids chicken and fries. Food arrived very quickly and was extremely hot and fresh! Chicken tenders were fresh and thin - a perfect combination. Fries and sweet potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft inside. We also had the greens and grits, which my husband raved about. A great southern fried restaurant was big portions and delicious food.
