I was referred by my primary dentist to Dr. Farshad Seyedein. He and his team were so comforting and caring and gentle. I had an infection in a previous root canal done by another dentist, my face was swelling and I was in alot of pain. This office was so kind arranging an emergency appointment for me. Dr. Farshad Seyedein was gentle cleaned up my infection and thankfully warned me what to lookout for such as swelling to my neck, he gave me his after hours emergency number if I needed anything A few hours later the swelling did go to my neck I text Dr. Seyedein with a picture and question and he immediately called me back. I had to go to er for iv of antibiotics so it would get into my system faster. Had Dr. Seyedein not told me what to look for I would have waited until it was too late and may not have been able to breathe. I am so thankful to have such a caring Dr. as well as a team behind him that is so sweet and officiant. I absolutely loved my experience at Tustin endodontics! I was referred to this specialist by my regular dentist. I have not had much dental work done in my life, but when I went to my regular dentist they discovered I had a crack in one of my fillings. After trying to replace that filling my dentist noticed I needed a root canal. It seemed kind of complicated so he referred me here. I was absolutely terrified. I am not a fan of Dentist. And through this experience I discovered that I am terrified of any kind of dental work. When I originally called this office I was not very happy with having to get a root canal for the very first time. I did not know what to expect or how this was going to go. But, when I called the office the front desk was very informative and very helpful, even though I was not very nice. I am thankful for Kristen, who helped me understand the process that I needed to take to get my root canal. She worked with my schedule and got me in quick. She went above and beyond to help me, and give me all the information I wanted. When I got to the actual appointment I was pleased with the office. I was also pleased with how clean the office was, the staff was super friendly, and everything was state of the art updated machines! The dental assistant was super sweet, and they made this process so much better for me. When I met the dentist he was very professional, and immediately took care of me. The root canal was done in less than an hour! So impressive. Not to mention I did not feel any pain, nor was it uncomfortable. The next day I had no swelling, and not an inch of pain. They denied the treatment after receiving the authorization of service from insurance, just because they have been questioned about their irresponsible behavior in terms of coordinating with patient. We call to verify some info and ask a few questions and guess what -- they won't provide care to denti-cal patients on Mondays and Wednesdays. Isn't this discriminatory? So I was referred to see Dr. Farshaid. I called to make an appointment and apparently they won't see you if you don't end up getting a CT scan. I have suffered migraines and got a lot of CT scans in certain time frame and they don't recommend more than 3 within that time frame. I don't want to get exposed to too much radiation again. Seriously? You can't do root canal unless you have a CT scan? I have done multiple root canals with no problems and never had to get a CT scan. I understand they want to make more money out of patients that's why they are requiring it, but that shows how much they don't care about their patients. It's understandable, it's a business, but at least hear your patients concerns. Don't force them to get a CT scan or else you won't see them. Ridiculous. read more

I was referred to Dr. Farshad by my dentist to have root canal, I saw Dr Farshad for the first time, he is very knowledgeable, patient and no waiting if you arrive on time, he answer all my questions and explain the process, he also explained why I need root canal, his equipment are state of art, top of the line and computerized. He has scanner and x-ray machine that he use both, the process took about 45 minutes. The way he did injections and drilling and finishing the tooth, I didn't feel any pain or discomfort, at end he gave me pain killers and antibiotics persecution. But I had no pain no indication, I didn't need to use any of pain killers. He made it so easy, that I lost all my fear for root canal. Man, this place saved my tooth and smile so I cannot thank them enough! My dentist had told me I had an issue with my tooth after not seeing Hime for almost two years--yeah, my wife was in me because you are never too busy to see the dentist. Well, a little backstory is needed here because when I was 19 to 20 I moved away and went up to Monterey County and got a dental exam for like $19 for the whole works x-rays and all the above and that dentist actually told me that I need a three root canal's at the time, and I was completely shocked! I didn't get the work done with hit that dentist in Monterey and it enough moving down to orange county where my family is in seeing my family dentistry told me I didn't need any root canal's. So FlashForward to you know the beginning of this year when my dentist said I got an issue with my tooth has no symptoms no pain no problem no issues but you show me a scam where the infection started eating with the bone, so I know I had to get something done. Dr. Farsad Seyedien was phenomenal and made tile for me on New Year's Eve, did the root canal, and patched me up! It was better and smoother than any filling I had. He used state of the art technology and has the most febrile hands! I could not believe how fast, painless, and easy it was. I cannot recommend Tustin Endodontics enough to those you out there needing some work done and it just is truly the easiest root canal I've ever had in my life... Please avoid this place at all costs. I believe the people who leave good reviews do not happen to review their insurance claims. It is really sad to see how they try to give people the run around and even go as far as stating there are out of network costs differ when in reality they are within my network for insurance. I had to contact on 3 separate occasions for a receipt. What I was verbally quoted prior to my treatment differed greatly on my reciept (mind you it was not a complicated case) in addition what they submitted to my insurance also differed. They tried to avoid my calls and did not want to clarify anything in billing using the excuse that the insurance specialist was not working everytime I called. When I finally got in contact today with the one who handles insurance Maria she stated to me of course since we didn't bill you we have to bill your insurance which doesn't make sense as to why I was not informed of any bill in the first place. Unfortunately the dentist is great and the assistants who helped were nice, but in reference to the front office they are unethical and hide fees as they do not show you up front any costs of service. They took advantage of the pain I was having and I would have never found out if it wasn't for an ethical dentist letting me know my copay for my other tooth(same type opposite side) I paid a lot more for one root canal then what I would have paid for two somewhere else. read more

Back in December 2020, I went to Dr Farshad Seyedein for a root canal, and while the service provided was more than satisfactory, the resulting charges were questionable. This visit fell under my HMO dental insurance coverage and my copay should have been $20; however, before I even took the chair I was advised certain needed images (and no other procedures or services) weren't covered under insurance and would cost $200, Since I needed this procedure done immediately, I agreed to pay that amount out of hand (in addition to my copay). But when Dr. Seyedein was finished and I was checking out, I was charged a total of $675. The only receipt I was given was my charge card receipt and no explanation was offered as to why I wasn't just paying the copay, etc. I waited through the holidays expecting to receive a reimbursement. When none was forthcoming I called Tustin Endodontics and questioned this. I was told that until they received an EOB (which was available to me within a week) they couldn't review the matter, but once it was received and looked over, any overpayment would be reimbursed. I then contacted my HMO Delta Dental and explained the situation. They indicated an EOB had been sent as of February, 2021 and that my copay should have been as expected. A few days later, I sent a letter to Dr. Seyedein outlining this issue and requesting that he investigate this matter with his office staff and then provide me by mail an itemized account of services provided and, if finding I had overpaid, then the appropriate reimbursement. Two weeks passed, and no response. So I wrote again, attaching a copy of my first letter and labeling the envelope "confidential." By now I had a feeling something was not quite right with this situation. Either the doctor was unaware of my correspondence because his office staff was not sharing it with him for some reason, or he was simply ignoring me. I suggested in my second letter that if no response was forthcoming I would have to pursue remedial action via my insurance provider or the California Dept of Consumer Affairs (but later discovered they don't deal with fee issues...which I'm sure the doctor and staff are well aware of). The fact that a professional service provider has NOT responded in any way to a legitimate inquiry does not seem ethical. Dr. Seyedein, I hope you see this as well as the other similiar negative reviews and look into what your front office people are about. Something is not right and your reputation is what will suffer. If you didn't receive my letters, it's because your front office staff are scamming your patients. I will be advising my regular dentist to not ever refer anyone else to you as well as reporting your lack of responsible response to Delta Dental USA HMO. Please rectify this situation immediately and provide the documentation/reimbursement I'm entitled to. read more

If I could, I would give him 50 stars. Dr. Farshad and the staff was very kind and tried their best to make me comfortable. Overall, I did not feel any kind of pain during my root canal procedure. His anesthetic injection was state of art. He provided appropriate amount of it step by step, slowly, to make sure I did not feel a thing. My case was a bit tough, where the root canal of my tooth was crooked. But with his expertise and skills, he managed to handle it. Although I am not a professional in the dental industry, when he showed me the final X-ray result, I knew at once that it was a tough one, and it was solved perfectly. He was also kind enough to give me his number just in case I had any problems during the weekend. I used to have a trauma going to a dentist since I was young, but Dr. Farshad is the best doctor I've met. I would recommend him to anybody around me who needs a root canal procedure. read more
