I will be forever grateful for Dr. Le and his staff. They took such great care of me, when I had my first (and, hopefully last) root canal. They made a very unpleasant dental emergency, a pleasant experience. The interior of the office is very modern and clean, with state-of-the-art instruments and technology. From the outside, it looks the an apartment complex, and there isn't much signage, but there's plenty of parking. Btw, pay no attention to the numbers painted on the parking spaces, and park whenever you want. The office is located downstairs, in a hallway of doors. Elizabeth is the face who greets you. She's very nice and helpful. Dr. Le is also very nice and so gentle, but very reassuring. He is so polite and knows exactly what he's doing. When I hear, root canal, I shuddered. Root canals are stuff of nightmare, but somehow Dr. Le made it feel very comforting and not scary at all. This was the least painful root canal I've had, and this is my third one, not bragging at all: I had an appointment at 3, and showed up at 2:45pm to be notified that it would be delayed til 3:30. The wait made me more anxious, and my nerve was at an all time high/ I was finally worked on at 4:21, and the procedure was completely done at 5:50pm. The whole time, I felt tense, but when it was all done, I have to admit, it wasn't so bad after all. I've only had two root canals in my life and I hope I never need another one, but if I did need treatment again I would absolutely come back to SC Endodontics. I had a molar that had become infected, and was also extremely difficult to numb after many years of repeated restorations, so I was a little nervous, but Dr. Le was able to silence it effortlessly and did a very thorough job of cleaning the tooth out with hardly any discomfort at all. My procedure was a lengthy one because the tooth needed a lot of work, but just knowing that it would be fixed once and for all made it easy to sit through the lengthy procedure. And the conversation was great too, even if I couldn't say anything at the time. :) Dr. Le and his staff were all very friendly folks, and he is very, very good at what he does. The first time I met Dr Khang Le he evaluated me for needing a root canal. He sent me home saying I didn't need it...yet. I knew the tooth was "sensitive" & had a small crack. I choose to wait as long as I could because didn't want to go through the ordeal of fixing it. Nine months later I returned with major pain & did the root canal. Dr Le and his assistant Elizabeth made sure I knew the process and was comfortable. His office is high tech and the Gentle Wave technique he used was so much better than the old fashion way of doing it. No pain like I thought there'd be. Very efficient procedure. Dr. Khang Le is absolutely the BEST dentist and endodontist I've ever been to. If you're dentist-phobic, this is the one want you want to see. He's practically pain-free and takes great care of you. His chair side manner is wonderful (always great person to talk to) combined with his wonderful skills as a dentist. I had an excruciating toothache on maxillary first premolar. I went to a general dentist to take a look and had an X-Ray on it, and he told me I need a root canal and a crown. This was very surprising to me because from the X-Ray it didn't show tooth decay and cavity. So I decided to get a second opinion and went to see Dr. Khang Le, a specialist (endodontist) for root canal. He was able to detect two deep vertical fractures on my tooth. He even showed me the picture of it and gave me an honest consultation. Rather than wasting money to have a root canal on that bad tooth, Dr. Le suggested that I should have an extraction and would need a tooth implant. Dr. Le has serious numbing skills. I am kind of a wuss about the giant "caulk gun" anesthesia needle (you know the one with the lidocaine in it), but he is very gentle and my mouth wasn't sore after the numbness wore off. I was dreading the pulling of my tooth, and it wasn't even that hurt. It was a complete extraction with no tooth root remaining. He also referred me to a great oral surgeon for tooth implant. Dr. Le is super high tech. Some of the technology he uses in his dental office is mind blowing. I am sure this modern advanced technology is not cheap, but he doesn't mind investing in his business. I am very comfortable going to Dr. Le and all my family, relatives, and friends are seeing him because of his impeccable service. read more

Dr. Le saved my mom's life! I will be forever grateful. My 88 year old mother had a tooth extraction and a tooth filled by a general dentist. Immediately after she was in excruciating pain. She was given pain medication that wasn't working. 3 visits to the dentist and 3 weeks later they still were stumped as to what it could be, they thought that maybe she just needed more time to heal and told her to continue taking pain medication and antibiotics. I was at my wits end, I couldn't stand seeing her in pain any longer, and she said she didn't think she could live like this for much longer - she barely ate or drank anything during this time due to the pain. I took her to her medical doctor to make sure it wasn't something non tooth related and was told that she must need a root canal as she started feeling the pain right after the dental work was done. The next day I called 6 endodontics before I reached SC Endodontics who was able to get me in the same day. Dr. Le spent almost 2 hours evaluating my mom, not wanting to do a unnecessary root canal. He finally concluded that she needed to see an oral facial pain specialist and Dr. Le's office even called the pain specialist for me to set up an appointment that same day. We had a 530pm appointment lined up. The pain specialist identified the problem and my mom is now pain free! After spending so much time evaluating my mother's condition Dr. Le only charged us for the full mouth x-ray so that we could bring it with us to the specialist. His staff is also wonderful, the dental assistant was very calm person and in turn helped my mom feel at ease and the person at the front desk was an angel! ( I wish I could remember her name!) She went out of her way for us - she was very knowledgeable, talked to me and calmed me down, made phone calls for me. I highly recommend SC Endodontics. Thank you all!!! PS when we were in the pain specialist office we talked to another person with the same symptoms and her dentist gave her 3 unnecessary root canals.
