After spending 45 minutes navigating traffic and construction downtown trying to get to this location, which is supposed to be open until 8pm, at 6:15pm a staff member was just locking the place up. Friendly attentive and unpretentious service from our lovely server today. Despite living nearby this was my first time trying it out and if you're looking for solid breakfast items this place seems to have it. I ordered a vegetable omelette and although it could've been cooked less and seasoned more, it was full of veggies and the portion size including hashbrowns and bread was quite a lot. Where this location has exceptional service it's plating & food quality lacks in comparison to Tutti Frutti South or the now closed Tutti Frutti West. They are my favourite at every other tutti frutti ~ something they do here is different, I cannot put my finger on it but I can say I don't care for it & it 100% happens w/ the crepes & custard topped waffles. This place is alright, but honestly, nothing special. I would absolutely recommend the pancakes and hot chocolate. :) Otherwise I wouldn't rush to get here. I think its very spacious though, and I love the decor. There is a lot of parking, and even if you can't find parking you can always park at Safeway and walk over. Service is pretty slow, but if you're there on a Thursday morning (which I was) it doesn't really matter. I myself wasn't moving too fast anyway. I also tried the salmon benny. I didn't really love it to be honest. I think next time I'll just stick to my normal asparagus benny! I like that one a lot better. They have a crazy amount of menu items to choose from though: crepes, french toast, pancakes, bennys, omelettes, eggs, scrambles, toast, etc. I could go on and on. Love the atmosphere. Such a quiet little place to eat. We've been to a number of breakfast places, but found that the food is great, they have great selection, and cheerful service. Very attentive staff. We go there all the time. Sundays are busiest in the mornings it seems but there's lots of seating. Never been there in the afternoon cause we're hooked on breakfast, and it's the only time available for us to go (tbh). Lunch menu looks good though. I ordered the "fresh fruit and English cream waffle" it was delicious. I was a little surprised by the choice of fruit chosen for the waffle. There was a few slices of strawberry, massive chunks of melon and pineapple as well as grapes. The English cream was served warm on the side (delicious) I added it to the waffle. The waffle itself, also delicious but like most places it was made with pancake batter vs a true waffle. They have free wifi here which is convenient for me as I am studying right now. The service was excellent and there is ample parking. The music is a calm modern jazz and very relaxing. Unfortunately they close early, at 3pm. They only serve breakfast and lunch. read more

I had two days off during the holidays so tried to make the most of it by meeting up with a friend who had come home from out of town. Unfortunately, it was freezing out, and not many places were open on Boxing Day, but we were happy to have stumbled upon this Tutti Frutti in Oliver Square. I had only been to their west end location once before. Atmosphere: 4/5 Overall nice decor, spacious and neat; appears more modern than I expected for a breakfast joint. Conveniently located in oliver square. It was not too busy when we arrived but not empty either, so it was a great environment to talk and catch up. Food: 3/5 I had my standard two eggs, fruit and toast. Overall good portion size. The poached eggs had a bit of a rougher texture than I expected; otherwise good. Service: 3/5 Overall friendly; we were missing some utensils though and had to find them ourselves Price: 3/5 Reasonable for portion size Overall: 3.5/5 A good standard breakfast and brunch restaurant - food is standard - cora's is a bit better, but it does have a nicer, more modern and comfortable atmosphere. The food is consistently great here, and the staff is even better. We've been to this location several times now, and each time the service has been exceptional. One time, we did wait a while but they were at their peak rush and the food made up for the delay. What struck me today was how considerate the hostess was. I honestly can't remember a time where someone was as concerned about our comfort level at the table we were assigned. The staff seem very aware that seating is tight in certain areas, but the level of concern and consideration is beyond anything I've experienced before. I usually order the Celine Special, but they have many great choices. I highly recommend the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice which is consistently the best I've ever had and NEVER bitter. read more

My husband and I live near this restaurant and have visited about 4 times this summer, we keep coming back because Parminder is the greatest guy ever! He's been our waiter every time and he just makes our day, amazing service and he'll make sure all the little things are done perfectly. The food tastes fresh and homemade, not greasy at all. I usually end up bringing leftovers home. The breakfast poutine is my favourite and it fed me for two days! My husband gets the breakfast burrito he says it's absolutely amazing. Was just down here in the downtown location, and actually had a two for one coupon in the coupon book so we decided to try it out. Are usually go to Cora for breakfast or brunch in the West End, so I had heard some good things about this place and wanted to try it. The service was great it wasn't very busy as we arrived around 10:30 AM on a weekday. And I can see that the food was pretty darn good... Nothing out of the world, but definitely a nice little diner style breakfast spot. They were really good also about customizing my order as I am eating very strictly these days... I went with sautéed mushrooms scrambled eggs, and chorizo sausage with bacon. Fully keto breakfast and super tasty. Definitely will be back and add this along the lines of Ricky's and Denny's and Cora's as good breakfast spots. read more

We usually take our kids here for breakfast whenever were in town. We love Darlene our waitress, we always get top notch service from her. Unfortunately our latest visit on 12/12/21, was disappointing. We ordered their latest specialty of apple crepes and my daughter had apple waffles. Not sure if it is under new management or new cooks, but our food order was not very good. The fruit that was included in the dish was 1/2 of a banana and 1/2 pineapple. Like there wasn't even any effort in making it presentable, banana was literally just cut in half and slapped on top of the pineapple. Cook should of just gave us a whole banana. Apple specialty menu was less desiring especially the canned apple filling they used. Again, cooks can put a little more effort in even disguising the canned apple filling by adding some cinnamon and sugar. We waited a long time to start going here for breakfast due to this crap pandemic. we sure hope that they fix these issues or end up losing more customers. read more

I love Tutti Fruitti, and I have gone to all the locations numerous times but this one is by far the worse. From the moment they opened, they have not been able to get my order correct and it's not like the order is complicated (chorizo instead of bavarian). I'm not sure if it's the servers or the kitchen but maybe they need to offer more training. I have visited this location at least 6 times now and consistently, I leave disappointed. Last week I went, no one provided me any service and I sat down for like 15 minutes before I called the server 2 tables down and she said she would grab my server. Then my server came and said this is not her section but she will take my order anyway...gee thanks for making me feel welcome. Be aware of the sharp corner at the entrance of the restaurant. It ripped my wife's dress. I am glad it was the dress and not a scratch on my kids skin. We pointed this out to the restaurant personally, but they did not seem willing to do anything about it. Hopefully they fix it and is not about my wife's dress but because it is a potential hazard especially for small kids. This small experience ruined my visit to this restaurant. read more

They may be using the same frying pan to cook multiple dishes. I ordered a veggie omelette and while I was eating I saw a piece of ham in it. I don't eat pork so this was a big turn off. One of our glasses had dried old egg on it (hadn't ordered any food yet). Ordered the stawberry crepe with eggs combo, came with eggs, bacon, homestyle hasbrowns and a crepe with nutella and strawberries (sounds good). The crepe was under filled with little strawberries, the hashbrowns were dry (used ketchup to make it ediable) the bacon in my opinion was over cooked. Only good thing was the eggs and toast. My boyfriend ordered the eggs benny soft poached, was more like hard poached eggs and the sauce got all over the fruit, maybe put the fruit on a seperate plate. read more
