My husband Eddy and I are originally from Florida, Miami to be more specific. We heard about TuTu's Hawaiian Ice Cream Shack after googling for a Hawaiian Ice place near us in California. Well Simi Valley isn't exactly next door but we decided to drive on out to Simi Valley and give this place a try. Well let me just say it was well worth the trip! And we are telling everyone about it! The Hawaiian ice is DIVINE! and they have a million zillion flavors! We liked it so much we spent the day in Simi Valley and went back after lunch to get some To go goodness. The Owners of the Ice Cream Shack are super friendly and nice! We never Yelp, we didnt event have an account but we created one just so we could tell more about this wonderful ice cream shop! Since the first time I ever stepped foot into Tutu's I became a fan, but there are a few things that could use improvement. One thing I have noticed is that there is no outdoor seating. I think that shaved ice could be enjoyed more while sitting outside on a nice sunny day. When I tried to order the Pineapple Puka I was informed by the helpful worker that they currently didn't have any fresh pineapple and this isn't the first time that they have been out of stock of some things. One time I went in to order a bag of Hawaiian coffee but the nice young girl told me they were out of it as well. I only write my suggestions as helpful tips to the owner because it really is a great place to get delicious dessert and it's a really authentic Hawaiian place. Its definitely an awesome inexpensive place to go on a date. I recommend everyone to go in and try the new Pineapple Dole Whip or ice cream under a shaved ice! read more

Tutu's Shave Ice is fantastic. Everytime I go to Simi Valley I make a special trip to go get shave ice from Scott Miller. He is friendly and his product is so yummy. Shave ice is SOOO different than a snow cone. If you have never had real hawaiian Shave Ice you will be very surprised and happy you found Tutu's. It is a real taste treat and the service is so friends and so accomodating. I am so glad that Scott Miller was able to go Mobil with Tutu's Save Ice. His store was nice but now with the mobil service and more carts Tutu's Save I ce is seen all over town and known far and wide for being so good and so fun to visit with Scott, Shawn and other staff that are so friendly. To all those out there that went to Tu Tu's during the previous owner...all I have to say is: TRY TU TU'S AGAIN. The new owner is enthusiastic and open to suggestions. Scott, the new owner, creates the feeling of Aloha! The store is MUCH CLEANER than before! New items are popping up everyday. The ice cream is good, but the Dole Whip and Shaved Ice is PHENOMENAL! Tutu's has something for everyone... treats range from the original sweet shaved ice, cotton-candy, popcorn, Kona coffee, sweet treats that are non-dairy, low-to no sugar, and more! Setting aside all relations, and writing as a true unbiased patron of Tutu's Ice Cream Shack... I must say that before I visited I did not have high hopes. I figured it was going to be just another ice cream place. Surely it could not top my frozen yogurt preference. Well, was I happy to be wrong! If the shave ice creations don't thrill your taste buds, or the Dole Whip make you drool...then the pure atmosphere alone will win you over. It's a place you want to just hang out. The casual and comfortable surroundings and the friendly service make you feel so at home. If I lived closer, I would visit every day. I recommend everyone to try Tutu's. So I went to tutus the other day to get shaved iced and it was edible but definitely not great. I wish another place opened up that served pineapple whip and shaved ice but I heard this place called go yogurt was starting shaved Ice again and I have been to go yogurt about 5 times now and they have this amazing non-dairy pineapple. It is what they call it, but it's the same as dole whip from this place and go yogurt gives u more for a cheaper price and its fat free!!! Their medium is the best value definitely. Love this shave ice and look forward to it every Sunday at the Santa Susana baseball fields. Always a great treat for the kids. Cherry chocolate vanilla is super yummy but my favorite flavor is the Tigers Blood. Shave ice is not like a sno-cone and Tutu's is super soft, not crunchy at all. Not sure why 2 of the recent reviews are so mean spirited and attack the owner, his family, and staff. The owner and his staff are friendly and give service with a smile. The owner seems to know a lot of locals and it seems like he is friends with everyone. Give them a try next time you see them around town. Reasonable prices, yummy variety of favors. read more

Tutu's is now mobile. They havclosed their retail store but they are mobile all over town from little league to community events, Skatelab and to selling at least once a week at Santa Susana High School. They are a great family operation, often giving a percentage back to the charity where they sell. Makes us feel like we are back in Hawaii with the delicious and refreshing shaved ice topped with flavorful syrups of your choice. OK, I hope that most people in the Simi area know about Tutu's. We need to support this unique mom and pop store. TUTU'S Has PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIP !!! Yup, just like Disneyland !!! What a wonderful addition to the already great menu. Hello there Group, I wanted to just sit down and right what I thought about this Little Ice Cream Shop . Tu Tu's is a great family spot. I have taken my Son over here to get shaved Ice. It's the best Shaved Ice I have had since leaving Taiwan. My son just loves this place. When ever it is Hot out he's says Dad lets go to Tu Tu's and get two shaved Ices. Finally!!! I found a place that understands what Hawaiian Ice is.. A place that actually has 'shaved' ice and not crushed or ground snowcone ice. The owner was very friendly and made great suggestions. Try the traditional shaved ice. Put some coconut ice cream on the bottom covered with shaved ice, add some flavors like guava, kiwi, and passionfruit, then drizzle some sweeten condensed milk on top and you have an AMAZING and inexpensive desset!. I've been going to tutus for about a year now and the service has gotten a lot better ever since the new ownership has come in and moped the floors and turned on the lights. Even after a year of eating the same thing, I am now willing to try some of the new and exciting flavors, like Wedding Cake. I hope if you tried tu tu's before and weren't happy, you'll give them another try. I believe it has gotten much better. They even have take home containers, so you can try it at home . Super friendly staff - check Delicious flavor - check Way oversized portions - check I had a very enjoyable experience at Tutu's. The owner was so friendly and let me try flavors to my hearts content until I decided on the perfect one. Then he gave me a GIGANTIC serving...not that I had any trouble downing every last melted bite! TUTUS SHAVED ICE There is a rude older man he is rude!!!!!! Everytime I go to a concert in Simi Valley he is there with his lazy wife, kids who are very helpful... I was getting 3 shave ice and they made 2 then the power went out so waited there with the other 2 for 2 hours by the time it came back on they melted I asked if they would make new ones, They said yes! I'm not in Simi Valley often, but a friend suggested stopping there during my last visit. I'm so glad I listened to her. The owner is a very personable, friendly fellow. He had me sample a few things.(The Birthday Cake ice cream is out of this world!!) I ended up going with a shaved ice. His portions are ungodly huge!!! Who ever heard of someone who is alergic to dairy being able to eat anything at an ice cream place? Well, last night my boyfriend and I enjoyed 'dole whip' sundaes! Dole Whip is a non-dairy yummy treat that is low in calories. The owner is very nice and they also serve shave ice and real ice cream from Hawaii. If you love Island Snows you will love this. It is something to try and once you do you will be in love. Mix up some flavors for some great tastes. The only thing i can attest to is that its the best shaved ice around! Tutus has more delicious flavors than octomom has babies!! I tried their pineapple dole whip too, and that was pretty amazing. My lactose intolerance hinders me from trying any ice creams tho but if they are anything like their shaved ice, im sure it is very good! read more
