ROBERTO gives exceptional service. His charge was very reasonable for my LG backlight going out. He showed up, repaired the tv, was very friendly and professional and installed a new Samsung I just bought for free!!! Later I called asking about the Samsung and he researched my question sending me info. I could never recommend him more positively. On December 20, 2022, I contacted Mr. Roberto Lecaro (photo attached) of Guayas Electronic D/B/A TV Repair Doctor (www.tvrepairdoctor.com; work phone (347) 802-0694) to repair/replace the backlight on my Samsung 60" LED TV at a cost of $160.00. Mr. Lecaro appeared in my home to perform same-day service as promised and removed parts from my TV and initially, there was picture and sound. Mr. Roberto Lecaro promised me a 3 month guarantee on his work with a promise of a refund if he could not fix the issue. On the date of service, I sent the full payment of $160.00 via CashApp as per his request. Less than 3 hours after Mr. Lecaro left my home, the backlight on my TV has gone out and now there is no sound. Mr. Lecaro has been non-responsive. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals for NY and FL. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. read more

i wish i could give this company a zero rating. the gentleman seems to be pleasant when speaking to him. he will tell you and assure you that he will fix your television and it will be like new. he told me after he repairs my television that it will be good for the next 10 to 20 years. that was absolutely false!!!! he installed a used part in ny television. the television stopped working immediately. i contacted the hispanic service owner and he has told me 5 times on seperate occasions that he will come over to remedy and correct his work and to fix my television properly. i havent seen or heard from him since. this is not a reputable professional business. please be aware of theyre fraudulent business practices. read more

This is an honest warning to anyone thinking of contacting Roberto to repair their TV. DO NOT. Roberto is perhaps one of the most unreliable, irresponsible and dishonest people I have ever met. The amount of time he has wasted in incalculable. Firstly, instead of buying decent parts online, he finally admitted himself to me that he buys bits and pieces CHEAPER and puts them together. Therefore, after the many missed appointments, unaccepted texts and calls as other people have posted, even if he shows up, the parts he uses will fail in a matter of weeks. Also, in my case, this part caused the entire TV screen to go bad so that no part could fix it. The second time around I contaced Roberto on December 8th. I used a different number because I suspected he would not answer since he had already done a shoddy first repair on my TV. Twenty days later, two missed appoinments, lying about expediting the parts which I offered to pay for then ordering them from someone in queens by usps regular mail, he was 1 1/2 late to the last appoinment as in the end was not able to fix my TV. He tells me I am the first person who has had this issue. When I told he that the reviews on yelp beg to differ, he had no response. This person is not competent at his job. Roberto came as promised and fixed my aging LCD TV in no time. Very professional, friendly and got right down to work. My TV is up and running and the kids are happy. Roberto even educated me that the lap was wearing out which was causing the issue with the fuse that he replaced. He even showed me on amazon.com what is the best replacement lamp to buy. This person Roberto Lecaro who calls himself the "TV Repair Doctor" is a liar & very irresponsible. I had found him online & took a chance on him based on the reviews posted to fix my aunts TV. He was very late to the appointment saying he'd be there at 4pm & didn't show up until 8pm. TV worked ok for about a month than it broke again. Getting a hold of him was impossible. He never answered his phone or returned any of my messages. He finally called back & I made an appointment with him,he never showed up or answered his phone. He finally called back & showed up the next day to fix my aunts TV again luckily her TV is still working. Despite the mishap with her TV ,I decided to give him another chance when my mothers Samsung TV broke. I once again called him & made an appointment for 10am in the morning & he never showed up until 7:30pm & he stayed until 10pm only to say he had to come back in a few days to finish fixing the TV bcos he had to order the bulbs. He returned the next day once again late at 7pm with cheap bulbs apparently bcos 30min after he left the TV once again stopped working . I called him back immediately & he said he'd be back the next day in the morning to fix it. He once again showed up late but fixed it. TV worked for 2 months & it has broken down again & I called him made an appointment for Monday August 22nd 2016@5pm and he never showed up. I tried calling him,left him messages,sent him text messages & he never returned any of my calls. He gave me a 6 month guarantee that if anything happened to the TV he'd come right away to fix it. That is a lie,he turned out to be a fraud,liar & very irresponsible as well as unprofessional. I DO NOT recommend him to anyone. Horrible! Horrible! Service!!! Potential clients be patient w me.... I hve a story 2 tell! Repair Dr. Roberto Lecaro provided horrible service. He replace an DLP bulb, ws very kind n told me if I had any problems 2 give him a call, n gve me a 6 mts warranty. For the first 48 hrs, it showed fine. Then the color bcame distorted. I called Roberto immediately n he promised 2 chnge the bulb n mde an appt f a Wednesday as I called him on Monday. By Wednesday, he ws giving me the run around n ignoring my calls finally he answered n said the bulb hadn't arrived; which I knew ws a lie. Anyway I rescheduled f tht Thursday. Thursday cme n I'm calling him @ 9am to confirm f our appt tht afternoon f 6pm. He's ignoring my calls n texts. Finally I had 2 threaten 2 go where he lived (I found out where he lived n believe me i wouldve went or reported him f fraud) he finally called me bck. I demanded my money bck! Unprofessional person I have ever met he came a couple of times to fix both of my TVs and told us he was coming back after the new years and never came back. Roberto did an excellent job. Most tv repair shops wanted to charge $50 for an assessment/diagnosis of the problem and put that money toward the cost of repair, which they estimated at $250 to $300. Even worse, they wouldn't do the repair in my home! I would have had to transport my flatscreen to their shop. Roberto was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and came to my apartment on time the very next day. Total charge was $150 for the repair and it was done in about an hour. With a 6 month warranty on top of everything, this service is hard to beat. Would definitely recommend him to any friends in need. read more

This guy is a complete liar and scammer. My TV had lines showing on the screen and he said he could get a replacement part and fix it. When he came to "fix" the tv, he took it down from the wall and placed it on the floor and literally let it fall back. Thankfully, my foot was there and the TV didn't hit the floor directly. This is not even the worst part. He opened the back of the tv and told me he had ordered the wrong part and that he would come back the next day with the new part. He left the tv on the floor putting only two screws back to hold the plastic. The next day he never showed up at the scheduled time so I called him. When he answered, he told me he forgot to call and let me know that the part would take a couple of days to arrive. He said he would call the next day to tell me the tracking code and let me know when he would come. He didn't call the next day but I waited an extra day before calling him back, still trying to be understanding. He then said he had the part and confirmed he would come the following day. I have a very busy schedule but I wasted another day waiting for him as he didn't show up again. I texted him and called him numerous times, but he never responded. After having my tv on the floor for two weeks, I tried to screw on the back of it myself and turn it on. The TV didn't even turn on this time instead of showing the lines as before he initially came. He most likely stole a part the first time he opened it and the tv stopped working completely. At this point I was so frustrated with this scammer and all my time he wasted. Since I knew he wouldn't respond my calls and come again, I tried something else. I texted him that I had another TV, same model in the other room, that stopped working at the same time and if he could use any parts of that one to fix at least one TV, which he was dumb enough to believe. Any normal technician at this point would think the TVs stopped working at the same time because their screens were probably cleaned incorrectly and damaged, which is irreparable. This guy texted me back 2 mins after, compared to never responding previously. This confirmed to me that he was just trying to take another part again and that was the only reason he would come. He scheduled to come the same day. When he showed up, I didn't even bother to open the door and let him in the building. This is the least he deserved after wasting so much of my time and ruining my tv, and I recommend everyone dealing with him to do the same. read more

Completely a scam liar, after he gets your money he will get cheap parts to fix the tv. He will write you a receipt saying that he has a guarantee for 6 months. If something goes wrong with the TV he will never answer your call or email. If something goes wrong 100% scam stay away from this person. I had an initial good experience with Roberto as he arrived on time and diagnosed the problem with my Samsung Smart TV quickly. He said he had to order a part and would be back in a few days. He came back with the part and fixed it. Here's where the problems begin. We turn on the TV and the Smart tv settings are all set to another person's profile, leading us to believe he bought a used computer part to put in our TV. We shrug it off since the tv seems to be working fine. Half a year later just past the 6 month "warranty" the same problem occurs again (tv turning on and off by itself). I try to reach Roberto and no response. I try to request another quote and home visit through his website. Still no response. Calls, texts, emails, nothing. He's disappeared entirely. read more

He gets NO stars at all!!!! But YELP is not allowing me to post unless I give 1 star. Roberto came to my house to repair my Samsung flat screen TV. For a moment the TV worked and I paid him. $ 150. He claimed that he forgot his invoices and that he will email me my invoice receipt . I never got that invoice! Shortly after he left, the TV stopped working. I called him and he said that he will send me a refund check. Over a year later I NEVER received my refund. I tried numerous times to get in touch with him. He never answers my calls or returns my messages. When I call from a different phone he hangs up on me soon as he realizes who I am. I highly recommend TV Repair Doctor Roberto Lecaro. He fixed my Samsung TV by carefully replacing the part and testing it for some time. When I thought something was wrong after that (which it wasn't, I myself connected the wrong wires) he came again promptly for no charge, fixed the issue and explained very clearly what the reason was. Roberto is a liar. He came to my apartment hours later than the scheduled appointment. He worked on my TV and fixed it. He gave me a 6 month warranty. After 1 month my TV stopped working properly. I tried to get Roberto to help me, since he assured me if I had a problem he would help me (6 months warranty). He answered my call once, said he would call me back and never did. He said he would extend my warranty if I gave him 5 stars, not based on his performance or his skill, but a BRIBE!! Called him to fix my 47" LG LED TV, he immediately assumed it was the Backlight. When he got here it turned out to be the "main board" and he said it would be $200 now to repair up from $145 for the backlight.
