Tvac is the best hvac company in Tucson. I called to have service on my very old system due to water leaking from a clogged condensate line. Mack came out and fixed the issue and suggested changing the system due to its age and issues. I called back the office that same Monday and by Thursday they had replaced my system at a great price. I went with Tvac because there was no pressure to sell me a new unit, their response time is very quick and everyone I dealt with was pleasant. read more

Due to a refrigerant leak my A/C system was low on pressure and not cooling as a result. Vince, the tech that was dispatched to the call, was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He handled the issue expeditiously and had us back up and running in no time. Vince was friendly and explained everything that needed to be done to get us running properly. Yesterday 8/25 we called this business around lunch time to say the fan on our air conditioning went out and that we had incoming guests that day (California) we were hoping they could help us. We were told they could be here first thing in the morning 8/26. At 8am this morning I placed a call to this company asking for an update as we had our guest stay at a different relatives house due to the heat inside the house. I was told I would receive a call back which I did, but the message was cut off, it was as if it was made from a cell phone, I immediately called back to say I missed your call and the message they attempted to leave message was cut off, I had no idea what was said. No call back. An hour later I called again left a message asking if they were coming, no call back...now I drive from Vail to my moms house at River & Sabino Canyon so you know how long that takes, no callback the entire drive, when i arrive at Sabino Canyon & River, I call again, no answer, no call back. Now I am angry, not only was I calling to find out what is going on, but the other half still at home called Mac directly on his cell left a message and no reply. At this point I am angry, I decided to text this person and let them know how unprofessional they are as well as their company, I used colorful language at this point for which I am not proud of, but I call it like I see it. DO NOT USE them. NOT ONCE did they take ownership of their failure to communicate or meet THEIR OWN deadline THEY made, which was "first thing" we hired someone else that actually kept their word and made us a priority. Since our experience last year this is a complete opposite in the wrong direction.The owner had suggested we call them when we were ready to purchase and install a new unit, we did then after waiting a week for the estimate it took aprox 2 weeks before they could start doing the work but we agreed to this, when they brought out the unit and pad the owner then left one guy there to finish by himself to remove old unit,partially install new ductwork,hook up to gas and electric, etc. this all took 3 days total over a weeks time to do with my help,not sure how they thought one guy could do the job by himself . My wife had to ask daily to see if someone was comming out, there communication was non existant, the owner had an attitude and seemed completly unorganized. We would have hired another company if we knew how incompetent this company has become. They never sent a licensed tech to remove old units Freon.We no longer can recommend them. read more

I'm totally surprised that this is the first Yelp review of TVAC--an excellent company. My first experience is when TVAC installed our new install HVAC system for our home addition back around 2015. They were hired by our general contractor, so I did not hire nor interact with them. Our new system worked very well and the county inspector actually said that it was very good work. It has worked flawlessly while keeping new new part of the house warm/cool. So when the AC on the old part of the house was going bad May 2017, we tried calling TVAC, yet they do not work on Saturday and we were going on vacation the next Monday. So we had a different company come on Saturday (big mistake). Just by hooking up the pressure gauges, this other company immediately said we needed a new system and that recharging the R-22 in the old system would be $700 but we really needed a new system. Without me even inquiring, he also tried to sell me on a solar system, solar tubes, and a new variable speed pool pump (though he never asked how old our pool pump was). Regardless, I knew I needed to get a second opinion due to the high cost of replacing the entire HVAC system. While on vacation, I called TVAC and arranged an appointment the day after we came back. Immediately, I knew TVAC was the right choice. Fausto assessed the problem which was indeed a low charge. He told me the cost, which I don't exactly recall though it was much less than $700. I also inquired about the cost of a totally new system. Fausto took the time to measure, calculate, and ask questions. He then forwarded the info to the front office who then gave me several quotes for different system configurations. The pricing was highly competitive and I trusted Fausto because of his open behaviors and the interaction I witnessed between the other people at TVAC. I felt TVAC was a small family and I was part of it. Anyway, I ended up authorizing the entirely new system that morning (3 ton, 16 SEER) for $4,845. TVAC installed it two days later on June 7, 2017. Mack and Jose spent most of the day installing it and cleaning our filthy vents. Both of them were highly professional and courteous. The new system works great and I feel really good about highly recommending TVAC for your HVAC needs. read more
