It paired very well with the shrimp, asparagus, and cream cheese on the inside and steak on the outside. The spinach dip was very good too. I really enjoyed all of the flavors. Rainy Mother's Day! Made reservations on Open Table. All went very well. Booth seating so nice when you're wanting a little more privacy than open floor plan. Wife/MIL both had Mahi Alexander. My husband and I were in town to visit family and decided on date night dinner at Twelve based on reviews. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor was beautiful. Walking in we had a great first impression and were excited to try the food. We ordered the chimichurri steak sushi roll which was unique and delicious! The chimichurri alone was definitely not authentic, but as a together with the rest of the sushi roll it was tasty. For entrees we ordered the trout with whipped potatoes and the filet (rare) with baked potato. The trout was okay but it could've used some sort of seasoning or sauce. The whipped potatoes were to die for though. Honestly there's probably a pound of butter in them because damn they were tasty. Unfortunately the rare steak came out medium well. The baked potato was your regular baked potato and our additional side of steamed broccoli was cooked beyond mush. I wish the creativity of the dishes matched the creativity of the design of the restaurant. I don't know that we would be back again but we are glad we tried the place out. read more

We went for a late lunch and were very pleasantly surprised! Setting was intimate and food was amazing and tasty! We had the Thai steak salad. Incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. Twelve was introduced to me by a huge fan who set a very high bar for quality, service, atmosphere, and friendliness. My expectations were very high, and greatly exceeded! We returned at least weekly for several weeks, and I continue to go there. Every item of food I've ordered is excellent - their meatballs are unsurpassed, their fried Gulf shrimp is always cooked perfectly and their sides are exceptional. Don't tell mgmt, but the Red Schooner bottles are priced at $35 -- the retail cost is around $45/bottle for context. So, five stars for that alone! Red Schooner is one of my go-to reds. Fusion sushi like the chimichurri roll are lots of fun. There are traditional appetizers like spin dip, too. Entrees span several categories: fried catfish and Thai noodle salad are both on the menu. First timer review: THE MUSIC! Ugghhh disco music booming in the background just doesn't match the type of ambience they are aiming for! 1. Look around.... Your clientele is mostly over 40 years old and way past those days! 2. There is no dance floor, so what to do with the overwhelming "I gotta bee bop" feeling? 3. It wasn't too loud, but was annoying and when I asked the waitress about it she said that's pretty much all they play. And trust me... by the look on her face I could tell she wasn't a fan either Crab sushi tasted too fishy and smelled and looked like tuna. Didn't care for it. Mac and cheese is yummmmm but honestly y'all could skip the ham chunks. Mash taters... yuuummmmmy perfect Uptown chicken ... excellent and it comes with a bit of salad too! The mixologists working the bar took pride in their cocktails and the results were both visually impressive and tasty. I went in for lunch. Omg! I was pleasantly surprised! The lunch menu items were extremely reasonably priced for a gourmet type meal. Food was very tasty! The service was on point, very attentive. My friend and I recently dined in here. I got the Mahi Mahi Alexander. It was grilled Mahi Mahi with sautéed shrimp over a creamy like sauce. It also had bits of lobster in it and came with a side of broccoli. It was delicious and seasoned to perfection. It was full of flavor and very filling. My only complaint is I wish my portion size had been bigger. My friend got the uptown chicken and she really loved it. We both cleaned our plates and had not one thing left on our plate. I got the drink Destin and was it really good. It was sweet and has a nice little kick. (It's made with rum) We were seated promptly upon arrival, the staff was gracious and our experience was phenomenal. The restaurant has the cutest vibe. Loved coming to twelve but today the service was so slow. One of the meals came out over 40 mins after everyone's food was brought to the table. Left me outside after I was done with my meal, ready to pay and leave for 30 mins. I couldn't go inside to catch my waiter because I had my dog. I would have just left money and left but I had leftovers I wanted to take. Just because someone has dinner solo doesn't mean you pay less attention to them bc you don't think you're going to get a good tip compared to big groups.
