The location is in an industrial area with easy access and on site parking. There is both inside and outside seating. It was 95 degrees the day I visited so I stayed inside with the air conditioning. Inside had a bar and high top tables for several people plus multiple ares for seating and lots of plants. Very comfortable place to meet friends and dog friendly. The staff were super friendly and knew their beer. The brewery makes beer for multiple businesses hence the name. The selection was varied. There was a coffee bar and pizza as well but I did not see any one eating.

As a longtime Fat Orange Cat Brewing fan, I felt bittersweet when they closed their East Hampton taproom. It was a great place, but now they're much closer to home. If you've ever had a craft beer brewed in North Haven, then congratulations; you've had a Twelve Percent-made beer already. So, why not visit the taproom and brewery? You'll be able to try their clients' beers on eighteen different rotating taps. You'll taste taproom-less beers from places like Fat Orange Cat, Eredità, Spartacus, False Hope, Abomination, and more, as well as established breweries like Tox and Evil Twin who simply needed more capacity. There's usually a food truck, and I'm sure you can bring your own food. There's usually are plenty of non-alcoholic options, as well as coffee. But come early, because the parking lot fills up fast!

Been wanting to check this unique co-op out ever since fat orange cat had to close their taproom and started selling out of here. Fairly typical industrial area surrounding their building but inside doesn't quite have that industrial feeling that many breweries have. It's fairly warm and comfortable. They have several signs directing you to their space within the industrial park which was really helpful even with the gps running. There was plenty of both outdoor and indoor seating available when we arrived but it wasn't exactly peak time either. First impressions of the staff weren't that great but they kinda warmed up a little when they realized I wasn't a jerk. According to their website, they make pizza during the week but this was a Sunday and I couldn't find a food truck listing so we brought our own. They weren't thrilled about it but when they realized it was Sally's they totally understood. Since it's a co-op they have 18 rails slinging all different styles and have multiple brewers represented. In other words they have a great variety and any beer drinker should be able to find something that suits their palate. I had a couple hazies and a BA stout and they were all really good. Their tap list is available on the wall behind the bar and on Untappd, so bring your glasses or your phone to figure out what you want. If I lived closer, this is definitely a place I would frequent since there is such a great variety and the taps and to-go options are constantly changing.

We get there on a rainy night and they had bingo night happening. It was crowded and loud but fun

This spot is it !!! One of the best beer selections in state hands down. Servers were awesome; willing to let us try as much as we wanted to before ordering a pint. Beautiful and comfortable inside I would love to come back w a group to hang out. Parking is easy and low car friendly. They typically have a food truck or two on site as well. What are you waiting for? If you love beer you gotta visit.

I recently went to Twelve Percent Beer Project with some friends. We brought our own snacks and ordered their cider. It is a great space and it was a good experience! We will be returning.

I like that some smaller independent beer ventures have a place to group up, find a few stills to brew, and get their product out in the open! I found this place because my Facebook cat group posted about Fat Orange Cat, so I just had to, and sure enough I was going through CT in the very near future. Cat in hand, I've got this to say: It's like a typical brewery. Wide open room with a few tables, a few games, views of all the vats in back. Nothing special or fancy to it, nothing luxurious, but it's got some interesting crafts on tap. Fun, useful, cool fact: All beers are the same price, whether 4% or 14%. They may not fill your glass quite as full with the 14%, but it's even the same glass. Use that how you may. All in all, this is not an easy place to get to, not really the sort of place to wander over and relax (not near anything else), but it's got some neat stuff on tap. Bring a DD and a wad of cash and this may just earn a 5th star for ya. For me it's a solid 4 on initial impression.

Spacious and clean space to hang out with friends, to get some work/studying done or to just dog watch! Came in around 11am on a weekend and it was pretty quiet, only a few tables were taken. Things picked up a bit later in the afternoon around 1pm but there was still plenty of space for big groups to grab tables/couches. Didn't get a chance to try the beer but the coffee was quality and the peanut butter brownie was sooo good!

I have heard of Twelve Percent Beer Project for a while and they seem to make beer with at least under one other different name. The beer that we purchased was at the same address but had the name of Timber Ales so it may be a brewery within a brewery idea or certain beer types were under a different name. Timber Ales on Untappd is associated with being out of New York City but the only taproom I am aware of for them is here at 341 State Street. Well, onto the beer that we had from Timber Ales. We had the Insomniac's Daydream with the variation of Nelson and Strata hops. This was a IPA with a hop oil slant to it which is a different spin to a typical IPA with just a regular hop flavor. It seemed more herbal or organic. Floral flavor highlights were also involved in an otherwise very creamy oriented IPA that we enjoyed fairly well.

Twelve Percent Beer Project is a craft brewery collective that opened in North Haven, Connecticut in December 2019. It was founded by two married couples: Alex and Bridget Blank & Brian Ewing and Ashley Van Valkenburgh. The four business partners met in the late 1990s and bonded over their shared interest in Belgian beers. After a number of trips to Belgium to get the beer directly from the source, the couples decided to open their own company. 'Twelve Percent Imports' was founded in 2007. Named after the first beer they imported (Gaverhopke Extra, which clocks in at 12% ABV), the company specializes in beer sales, marketing and importing. After many successful years, the partners decided to build their own brewing facility for contract brewing. With their newer 'brewery collective' concept, Twelve Percent can offer brewing, production and distribution services to small 'nomadic breweries' (or 'gypsy breweries') who do not have their own facility or equipment. Even larger established breweries enlist the help of Twelve Percent. Some of Twelve Percent's current clientele include Evil Twin Brewing, Fat Orange Cat, Omnipollo, Hoof Hearted Brewing, Abomination Brewing, Short Throw Brewing, Timber Ales, Stillwater Artisanal, Skygazer Brewing, Little House Brewing, Eredita Beer, and False Hope Brewing. I've made several stops at Twelve Percent since they first opened. They are just a short drive from my house. In their tasting room, patrons can taste offerings from their clientele and even purchase cans/bottles to take home. One thing that I love about Twelve Percent is that you can stop there every few days and they might have completely different beers on tap. The rotation is constantly changing. More recently, the tasting room has added a coffee bar and from Monday-Thursday they even have pizza (choice of "Plain Tomato", "White", "Cheese" or "Pepperoni"). I recently stopped in for lunch with my two young sons. We ordered and shared a "Plain Tomato" pizza and a "Pepperoni" pizza. The pies both had good sauce and a crust that was chewy yet had a nice amount of char around the edges. For beers, I enjoyed draught pours of Abomination Brewing's "Term Little Foggy" (Tropical Passion Fruit IPA), Evil Twin Brewing's "Grape" (Soda-style Fruited Sour), and Skygazer Brewing's "Watercolors Pride" (Smoothie Pastry Sour). Everything I sampled was very good; an eclectic mix of styles. I never leave disappointed at Twelve Percent and plan on visiting for years to come.

Airy comfortable seating for about 40.

Comfortable tasting room which seats around 65. Twenty quality beers on tap, mostly local, rotating often. Kind of isolated, industrial setting, which I guess is perfect for renting out brewing space for micro brewers. Offers Oona baked pizzas for $10-14 but I didn't see any come out.

Last night was my third visit here, but my first at night! Still plenty of parking and seating. My friend and I loved the new Christmas Creamee from Stargazer. The service was friendly and fast, like the previous visits. Check them out!

There is so much to say about Twelve Percent. To start off I would have to say they are one of the best spaces in the area. The inside and the outside offer equal comfort and care. They truly put in the time to make sure that it is welcoming and accommodating to all. They have a ramp to go inside so there is access for all. They have a food truck that is posted there the majority of the time and it has consistently good offerings. Their beer ranges from their brand to the others they are contracted to brew (such as Fat Orange Cat, etc.). There are usually fin options such as a seltzer, beer slush, and even a beer soft serve! I've never met a sour I like more than theirs. Now onto the people. Talk about accommodating kind people. We hosted our Jack and Jill at their venue this week and it couldn't have been easier. Norm had the whole outside space set up with umbrellas, games, heaters, etc. He was willing to support any need that we had while we were hosting. We included a drink in each ticket and they were amazing collecting them at the bar and punching them in as people redeemed. They were SO flexible on what we could bring and were willing to work with everything we asked. I couldn't recommend this place more as a great opportunity for an event. Thank you for helping making one of our special days even more special!

I went there for the music. Can't drink the beer because of an allergy. They had a nice non-beer drink on tap. Acoustics are good.

We were here for an event: The start and finish of Bikes & Beers 2024 (Brandford, CT). Bikes & Beers tours the country year-round, offering cycling events that revolve around--you guessed it--breweries. Over the last few years, we've enjoyed weekends away across New England when they come to our corner of the country. Their events are very well organized and fun, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities. Plus, there's beer! After our 30-mile ride in and around Branford, we joined the other riders for the after-ride event at the brewery for food and fun. That's the formula for all Bikes & Beers events. Back to Stony Creek Brewery. As I said, the setting is idyllic for a warm, sunny summer day. However, you'd find limited indoor dining/drinking space on a rainy day. I enjoyed their seasonal IPA (the only beer I drink) and found it exceptional. My better half had the grilled chicken sandwich to satisfy her hunger while she ordered a chili dog for me. IT WAS HUGE (and delicious). We didn't get to try the other interesting items on their menu, but our fellow riders said good things about theirs. Plus, a permanent guest food truck serves wood-fired pizzas that look and smell fantastic. My mouth is watering as I write this. I'm not sure when we'll be back, but we bookmarked this location so we can have a similar bikes & beers experience on our own someday. We liked it that much!
