I love the gluten free wraps here. I've tried all and my favorites are the Avo Tuna wrap, the Protein Powerhouse, and the Spicy Chicken Caesar wrap. The salads and grain bowls are also excellent. There's plenty of seating in the upper level of the food hall. This is a great place to grab a quick and healthy lunch in the area.

The Grimewrap (bbq chicken)

One of my *favorite* gluten-free quickeats in the city! It's conveniently located in the center of midtown, within a food hall with a ton of other dining options. Ordering was very easy - they have a clear menu and I love how everything, the wraps, salads, and bowls, can all be customizable. I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choices and usually stick to the preset flavor combinations, which I've always enjoyed so I don't think you can go wrong. My favorite by far is the grimewrap, which contains brown rice as a base, bbq chicken, romaine, avocado, bacon, and this amazing mango ranch sauce that I can never get enough of! The wrap portions are quite large - I usually am full after just eating half, so I think this meal is very worth its price. After getting your food, there's so much ample seating on the second floor of the food hall (though as a heads up, at super peak lunch rush hours, it may be a bit harder to find available spots). Whenever I'm in the area, I know I can always fall back on Twentyonegrains for a quick, simple, healthy, and above everything else, tasty meal!

Hungry Bowl

Twentyonee grains is in the Urban marketplace on west 52nd. You can customize a grain bowl with a variety of toppings. I had the hungry bowl which consisted of rice, chicken, beans, corn, tortilla chips, avocado, and mango chutney. It was a good clean lunch but nothing out of this world. I would come here again for a quick and healthy lunch.

Buffalo cauliflower wrap

What an amazing wrap! I've ordered the buffalo cauliflower wrap and it's absolutely amazing! The perfect mix of healthy, tasty and filling. I'm sure I'll go back for more;)

So freaking good and super healthy. The hungry bowl, salmon and the pesto toast are my favorite.

I will come back for the fried chicken thighs

One of the best quality takeouts I've ever had - so good I got it twice in one day! The chicken is…read morejust WOW and I am SO picky about chicken...perfectly cooked - crispy but still tender - deliciously seasoned throughout, not just on top. I got the spicy and it is low spice level - packed full of flavour, spaghetti squash is tomatoey and delicious, all the veggies I had were perfectly cooked and seasoned - I also tried the cauliflower and broccoli (not pictured) which were great. This is one of the few truly healthy takeout options that isn't packed full of salt sugar and additives - it tastes fresh, delicious and light. Though the portion looks quite small, it is actually very satisfying (and I can eat a lot) They get super busy (good for them as a small business!) so be aware of this when ordering at peak times in terms of wait time - my only complaint is, it is pricy - the steak in particular is quite a significant add-on. That being said, I paid for it twice in one day, so it is clearly worth it, but if I wasn't visiting - and this was a regular go-to - I would like to see prices a little more competitive. I love the concept of Rooted and how transparent they are with their food. Often time as a picky eater, I don't know what I'm consuming and even when I do, I feel like I have to make accommodations for less salty, oil, no butter, and the list goes on. The portions are definitely decent - I went with the 4 bounty box and was happy with it, but wouldn't mind sizing up to a 5 bounty box next time. Now to the food 1. Simply Chicken was juicy and packed with flavor - I think it's probably the garlic infused olive oil 2. The spaghetti squash (absolute favorite) - love the texture and the taste to it with the sauce, I can't recommend this enough 3. Gigante beans had good texture and felt satisfying to eat 4. Carrots were decent I can't wait to try more variations within the box options, I will be back!

Big selection of tacos, burritos, bowls, nachos and more. Choice of chicken, steak, pork, fish or veggies. Came with my son and we shared a Steak Burrito and nachos. The Burrito was stuffed with rice, beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and cheese. The nachos had fresh corn tortilla chips, beans, melted cheese, sour cream, jalapeños and tomato and we added a nice spicy tinga chipotle chicken. Portions were big. My cousin recommended this spot, saying it was a great choice if I was looking for something…read morehealthy, and it definitely delivered. The concept is similar to Chipotle, where you build your own meal by choosing a protein, grain, sauce, and toppings. I created a bowl with white rice, caramelized steak, broccoli, and pesto, and paired it with a strawberry mint lemonade. The portion size was enormous--I easily could have stretched it into three meals. Even better, the food tasted just as good as it looked. The pesto added a ton of flavor, and while I usually pair pesto with chicken, it worked surprisingly well with the caramelized steak. The strawberry mint lemonade was also refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. My only criticism is the lack of seating. There are only a handful of stools and one small table, and every seat was occupied when we visited, so we had to take our food elsewhere to eat. If they had a bit more seating, the experience would have been even better. Overall, this was a delicious, healthy meal with generous portions, and I'd gladly stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

This is a busy location, and all kiosks were being used, so there was a bit of a wait. I placed my order and went to find a seat - unfortunately all the tables in here had some kind of dressing or trash on them, so I had to make due and clean up after the last person who left. My bowl was ready in about 5 minutes or so, was made correctly and had generous amounts of all the toppings I had picked - though the piece of salmon I got was really small and dry. Overall, not a bad place to eat lunch if you're looking for something healthy and don't mind dropping $20 on lunch. I do miss the days of watching them build my bowl so that I could've asked for a better piece of salmon.
