Delicious food, nice staff, and good drinks. The hibiscus margarita was meant to be spicy but wasn't. It was still good, though. Really enjoyed the turkey burger and the people I came with got Cobb salads with salmon. Wish I got a photo of the food. Definitely recommend a reservation for weekend brunch as it gets busy. The outdoor seating is nice and comfortable. Saw several cute pups out there as well!

Bland chicken salad sandwich with an overload of lettuce and barely any tomato. Boo!

With what I think are identical menus, I'd rather go to Green Kitchen on E. 84th. The uptown branch has comfortable booths, more conducive to conversation. 70th Street does not, and with bad acoustics I could barely hear my friend talk. And she was sitting next to me! I was unable to capture my favorite component of dinner: avgolemono soup. (Photography is not my forte.) The soup was rich and lemony, just as I like it. The difference between a cup and bowl is only $2, so if you're a soup-person it makes sense to get the large and bring home what you don't finish. I paired my soup with a chicken salad sandwich, a measly 2 stars. It was bland and mushy. (My husband will be getting the half I didn't eat for dinner tonight!) His order, a Tijuana chicken sandwich, was a better choice. It was piled with bacon, pepper jack cheese, red onions and guacamole. My friend awarded her turkey burger four stars. It looked good, not as dry as turkey burgers tend to be. Green Kitchen does a great job with fries. The fries T and I shared were crisp and salty. (I took way more off his plate than I planned.) R's sweet potato fries were equally good. Our waitress -- whose name I didn't catch -- was terrific. Sweet and attentive without being annoying. Actually we liked everyone who came to our table. Green Kitchen has been in business since the 1930s. I'd consider it a hybrid of a diner and restaurant. They may take reservations, but we never make them. The menu is extensive enough that you'll inevitably find something that suits you. (Just don't get chicken salad.)

Crazy busy Saturday around noon but the turnaround is very quick. We went with the breakfast burritos and corned beef hash. Everything tasty great lotsa meat in the burritos and the hash breakfast was huge. Service was quick and prompt. I didn't realize that there are multiple Green kitchens in the neighborhood but would definitely go back.

This diner was perfect for the break we needed. We only ordered a couple of drinks and the chips and guac. I would come here to grab a drink but we really came to grab a bite to eat. We were sat right away and the service was excellent.

Excellent and elevated diner! The service is so friendly (even despite being busy and crowded) and the burrito bowl was really good. They also serve drinks which is a great bonus. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to coming back.

Disappointed, I ordered the chicken salad to go because I saw how amazing it looked online. I ordered grilled chicken instead of crispy & apparently you get the garlic bread only if you order the crispy chicken salad. Wish the menu stated this. I was very disappointed when I opened my salad since basically it was $25 for a basic cesar salad.

Was in the area and decided to get. Crispy chicken Caesar salad and it is amazing! Portion is big and the garlic bread that comes with it tastes soo good!

I walked in with my friend on a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. Service was a little slow - they were very busy. But our drinks took awhile to get. We got: - Chipotle chicken panini with fries ($24): I really enjoyed this! The fries were the exact crispiness I wanted. The sandwich is huge so I only had half. It's not really a panini because it was stuffed and not flat. - lychee martini - margarita - chicken Marsala: my friend enjoyed this! It came with a side of pasta (which I had a bite of and enjoyed)

This restaurant is such a cute upscale diner vibe for a weekend brunch. The menu was honestly insane and had all kinds of food options. Sometimes that is scary but honestly we had a great breakfast and everything we saw pass by looked phenomenal. Service was good even though it was busy. We did have a period where we had to wait a bit for butter and more water but it was noon on a Sunday. Portion sizes were really big so decent bang for your buck. Comforting meal, decent service, but nothing super crazy.

We came to Green Kitchen for breakfast. It was nice that we could get in without a reservation. We were seated pretty quickly. I had the Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. It was good but a bit too salty. I also had a side of berries ($10). The berries were very fresh, and it was a large portion. I tried some of my friend's home fries and they were great! I like this casual brunch spot, and I would come back!

Green Kitchen is the best spot in the neighborhood for breakfast, lunch, or brunch! It never disappoints, every meal I've ordered has been excellent. My usual breakfast order is the Athenian omelette or two eggs over easy with bacon, and their turkey BLT for lunch. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic, the service is always excellent, and the food is delicious! They offer both indoor and outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. A must try in the neighborhood. Add this to your weekly rotation!

I don't typically travel uptown but I imagine with this congestion toll, these restaurants will be getting more of my business! This one definitely will be! First off happy hour starts at 11AM daily! Where they do that at? Pretty dope. I had the hibiscus toddy. The flavor was kinda there- it was just too syrupy and sweet in texture and taste. The food 10/10 my omelet was cooked to perfection! The French toast is exactly what you want how you want it. Sugar cinnamon and a nice thick cut! THESE FRIES THO!!! I asked the waiter if he recc I get the home fries or the French fries . He said the fries because they are not frozen they are cut and fried in house. They came out hot and absolutely delish. This just might become my regular uptown brunch spot

Most Asian…read morerestaurants in this neighborhood are fancy sit-downs, so it was exciting to see a quick, casual stop for Asian "finger food" (for a lack of better word) within my vicinity. Joju specializes in modern Vietnamese cuisine, serving meals like bahn mi, loaded fries, and rice meals. The menu recently added soy garlic wings, and since I am a fiend for Asian-style fried chicken, I of course had to have it. While all of the beverages looked tempting, especially their non-alcoholic soju refreshers, I needed caffeine to offset the afternoon slump that was about to follow, so I ordered a Vietnamese coffee. The wings were huge! It was notably crunchy, saucy, and juicy. There was a decent skin to meat ratio, (I so hate biting into a mouthful of breading), and the meal came out piping hot. It was clear the chicken had been fried per order. Those who know me know that I can't live without rice and would eat it with almost any meal, including fried chicken, so I did request it on the side, although the wings don't come with it. The man who took my order did me a solid and served it with mine, anyway. Good lad! I've been wanting to try Vietnamese coffee for a while now, and it was everything I imagined it would be. Sweet with a bitter backend - but not too bitter! I'm still new to coffee, and I pucker up at anything too intense. This was just right. My meal at Joju satisfied me, mind, body, and soul. I hope it is here to stay, and I hope that a shop like this is a catalyst for other quick Asian food stops to follow. Korean and Filipino restaurants - I'll be waiting!

I can't emphasize how excited I am for them to be here, bringing one of our best neighborhood bites to a new neighborhood which desperately needs more affordable and diversified options. This modern Vietnamese sandwich spot offers banh mi inspired by other East and Southeast Asian flavors. I personally like reaching for their regular banh mi and their lemongrass chicken banh mi. You would be remiss if you didn't get the banh mi or kimchi fries, and their monster rolls which are a newer creation but are essentially giant lumpia with any and all of the sauces they have available. Another plus is that they have pretty creative drinks, like their refreshers and virgin mojitos, for a nice little drink that isn't too calorie-dense depending on what you get. Welcome to the neighborhood Joju and I wish you all the success.

Hanoi pho -- rich and beefy broth with flat white noodles; i personally rlly liked this dish and thought the noodles were perfect and soup had good flavor, but my mom and aunts did find it a bit salty for their liking. Lump crab noodles -- on the lighter side which i rlly enjoyed; it tasted like a light garlic noodle with some hints of parmesan. They do use real crab, but you can taste that it's made with frozen crab. I did find myself drinking a lot of water after a few bites and felt it was a lil saltier than my preference. Saigon shaking beef -- get this! Beef is so tender and cooked perfectly. The sauce and pairing with the arugula and veggies were so delicious. This was also my mom and aunts fav! The main dish did lack fresh ingredients imo; half the veggies were wilted and the lettuce had some bitterness to it indicating it was prob not the freshest. The vermicelli was quite hard and imo not cooked enough. The grilled pork slices were good, but i think most viet places ive gone tasted similar. Id def come again tho! I think the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and the staff were honestly some of the friendliest ive seen! They were so attentive despite being so busy. I didnt have a reservation prior, but the staff were so nice and accommodating and got us seated quickly. I sat near the door and overheard some of their interactions with other guests, and def think service alone was amazing! There's a small tiki bar with some specialty cocktails that i def want to try next time, but despite it being quite a small restaurant there's quite a few tables.
