I was so excited to try the famous Twin Brothers Nassau fish fry. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype, the prices seemed fare but the portions and quality just weren't there. The Mac & cheese was awful. The shrimp were good but came with no sides and 6 shrimp for $17. The condiment that came with the shrimp was amazing and perfect for dipping the plantains! The plantains were actually the best thing we had but 4 pieces for $5? Twin brothers is air conditioned and does provide free WiFi which we enjoyed. When we got our bill we saw gratuity was included as you can see on the receipt. The waitress was sure to tell us tip was not included which was not a fair move for tourism. It's near the water and a bunch of shops and other food places. Every time we go we're always greeted with the friendliest of staff and smiling. The fish is always so fresh and comes out super fast too. The flavors in the fried fish are just like no other I've had. They were even featured on some top spot to stop on a well known food channel. We were a little tired of resort food so we decided to venture off. We were told to come here. It seems like one of the more commercial spots, but everything we had was great. I think in America, we are used to everything being fast paced, but the service was pretty good. I opted for a fried lobster tail and a loaded baked potato. The sauce that comes with the fried lobster is immaculate and I wish I had some right now. My mother got the ribs and a salad, and the ribs were falling off the bone literally. I wasn't expecting ribs in the Caribbean to taste so good. My cousin got rice and peas with the whole fried snapper and she said it was delicious. Had to hit up Arawak Cay and the famous fish fry. We started at Twin Brothers. I can't ever get enough conch. We had the tropical conch salad and the regular spicy conch salad. Fresh and done well. It was not spicy enough for me so I asked for chopper hot peppers which they gladly brought out a scotch bonnet and that hit the spot. Drinks were good, staff was pleasant (if you think service is slow - it's Nassau and get over It). Twin brothers is a good location with local done right food. Good for the Bahamas, wouldn't survive anywhere else - proceed with caution. This place is good for the Bahamas (where the standards can be low and the prices can be high), but not good under any other barometer. The conch salad, while interesting and voluminous, basically just had the taste of over-acidic ceviche (and not in a good way - I adore ceviche and had to tap out after a few bites). With that said, the salad was by far the most healthy thing I tried - pretty much everything else was fried in some form or fashion. That's not necessarily a bad thing (fried food can be tasty!), but nothing stood out. For example, the "crack chicken" doesn't exactly live up to its reputation - it's basic fried chicken. Also, fair warning, the prices here are nosebleed-level, the service here is slow, and the venue itself is reasonably clean but rather simple. I really enjoyed the food here. I've been trying to find a place to come too when I visited the Bahamas and someone recommended this place to me. I ended up ordering the cracked conch snack. Which was delicious, it was fried perfectly and super tender like I love it... I don't know what it is about pina coladas on the island, but they taste so much more better than they do in the states. I ordered a Miami Vice daiquiri and it was so delicious. I'm still dreaming about it... they also had a strawberry mango lemonade that's made in the house. Absolutely refreshing. It took forever to just get asked for a drink order and then she came back and said they didn't have that type of rum. Definitely agree with a number of the bad reviews. We were recommended to this place by valets and cab drivers. I liked the organic energy of the place and the location, but the food quality and pricing left more to be desired. The food looked delicious when it came out, but the snapper was over cooked and dry, the jerk chicken was basically bbq chicken, and last but not least our 3 entree's and 2 drinks came to $176.00 which $40 of that as automatic gratuity and taxes. Over the course of our trip we did notice the level of customer service was less than favorable, as almost all of the place automatically attach a 15% gratuity, so the staff doesn't have to work for those tips. One thing I can say is that due to the tourism of Nassau, they have an efficient operation to make sure they are collecting as much money as possible. Could be a little training there. read more

Came to eat here in April when I arrived in the Bahamas on a cruise. This was one of the restaurants on the strip that I was told about. As a Travel Agent I had to stop by to see what the buzz was about! The place was small but cozy. Bathrooms were clean. Didn't get a good look inside the restaurant but it can hold a good amount of ppl. I ended up eating outside where we had the best server ever. We have been fortunate enough to visit the fish fry in Nassau a few times. Once we found Twin Brothers it is now a must stop each visit. The pina coloda is amazing. You can get it with or without alcohol that's up to you. The conch salad is the best but don't expect fast food or service. Remember your on a island and things move at their own pace. So come for a drink, relax and enjoy the area. We over ordered food but it was all good. It's not a 5 star resort quality but more of a local spot.
