This is a beautiful restaurant. The decor is all white and blue- it reminded me of Greece. The view is amazing! This is why you come here. The jerk wings were absolutely delicious and so saucy and flavorful, I still think about them! The peas and rice were also amazing, easily some of the best I've had. Sitting by the water made the whole experience even better, and the staff was super kind and accommodating. Came here for the views! We got here around 5:30pm on a Saturday at the end of April and got seated right away. The menu is a mix of American, Bahamian, and Japanese (they have sushi). We got BBQ ribs with Bahamian style peas & rice and coconut shrimp. The food was okay - nothing super outstanding but it's the views! Just a note that the Bahamian style peas & rice is on the chewy side (harder compared to Asian rice) but the seasoning is pretty interesting! The view is absolutely stunning! There's a back door where you can walk down to the beach - and there's a hidden hammock down there as well! It's right across the street from Sandyport resort hotel! Or if you are staying at Sandyport resort hotel, take the back exit of the hotel to go directly to the back entrance of the restaurant to save you some walking! read more

Mixed emotions here.. we will start with service, it was awful. Waited 30 mins for someone to even acknowledge we were seated and that was only after telling 2 different people we still had not even been asked for a drink order nevermind anything else... we also were basically pushed out (again after spending an extra 30 waiting for drink/app order to be taken)... they walked over and ask which exit we were using and then told us they were closing.. awful service experience on an island where hospitality is everything. (The bus staff was actually way more friendly and helpful then waitstaff) The restaurant itself was bright and beautiful, even beautiful night views and sounds.. Food. The food was amazing. We loved the pace - I cannot stand it when we have appetizers, salad, and entree on the table all at once! This was done so well and we loved the fact that we were allowed to savor each course. It was a dining event - not just a meal. We were a party of 8. Our grandson wants to be a chef and he was given the royal treatment by Chef Charlie. I cannot say how wonderful the staff and service were - just incredible! Food was fabulous - we had the gamut - drinks, calamari, sushi, salads, fish, pizza, pasta, conch! It was a taste feast. We were in the Bahamas for a volunteer work assignment and after the assignment my wife and I wanted to enjoy some time together. We decided to try Blue Sail and we were very excited to try it primarily because of the location with great ocean views and ambiance but also hopeful the quality of the food would meet a high standard. We were seated in a nice spot right on the deck with a great view and the weather was beautiful that evening too. But the service was not exceptional, actually average. It seemed to be that way at many of the places we visited on the island, so we weren't surprised by that. However the food was somewhat disappointing. We ordered 2 appetizers, the Mediterranean plate which was very good and the grouper tacos, also good. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi with lentils, the lentils were dry and overcooked and just not seasoned well. I ordered the Mahi Mahi burger with fries and a side of cole slaw. The sandwich was decent and the tarter sauce was nothing special. The French fries were from a bag and similar to fries that one would get at a bar. I had asked for ketchup for those fries and was expecting a small dish with ketchup in it, however, I was given 3 packets of fast food style ketchup....I'm like, WHAT!?!?! What a joke, we dropped $120 on our dinner and walked away saying to ourselves that we wouldn't ever go back to that place. Restaurant had lovely blue and white decor but best of all was the fabulous view! We had a party of nine and service was prompt and polite. Food was served in a timely manner, which we have struggled with our whole vacation with such a large group. It was refreshing! My husband had salmon florentine which was amazing. Fish was cooked to a perfect moistness. My curry shrimp was deceptively filling with wonderful flavor. Both the kids' pasta and pizza were a hit. We recommend this place highly. We came for dinner with a group of 11. The location is indeed scenic overlooking the water, they take reservations and they worked with us on several changes as we added additional members to our group. We had a variety of different dishes and the general consensus is that the pizza was the thing to order. They could not do separate checks and they don't take American Express. read more

Nicely done but too small for what you are paying. Also had the Lentil burger and it was huge. Nicely done. Pizzas looked good but didn't try. Hamburgers looked the best so would recommend getting if it's your jam. Drinks - stay with the beer. Margaritas were way too sweet and made with rock gut tequila. This place took us a long time when we got there. We sat at our table for about 25 minutes and then we ordered appetizers. They came 1 hour later and were cold. A minute later they took our order and then it took about 1 hour again. The food was cold again like the appetizers. read more

We ordered lobster mac and cheese, calamari, watermelon feta balsamic and arugula, kids tomato pasta, and a pepperoni pizza. Each dish was flavorful and well made; I sampled all of them. The drinks were delicious and strong. The night we went, there were 5 servers taking care of approximately 70 patrons, but our food was still delivered relatively quickly ( about 15 minutes). I initially was going to pay with my credit card, but since they were so busy, I chose to use cash instead to expedite the process. In my experience, the service was typical of what I received in other locations in the Bahamas. The location is beautiful, the service however was absolutely atrocious and this was bar none the worst sushi I have ever had (and that's saying a lot). Conveyor belt sushi is far better than this.
