The food is exceptional. We had an array of appetizers, sashimi and noodles. Of the 12 things ordered over 2 visits, I'd literally order everything again. That said, make a reservation 30 minutes or more before you want to eat. Both times, we waited over 45 minutes. Servers and assistant servers were great but the kitchen is SLOW. While I still enjoyed, WAY too much waiting

Walked up to Katsu-Ya last minute and were discouraged by the crowd, but we were seated within 15 minutes. We were taken to a back outdoor room and didn't realize how huge the place is. We were worried we'd be forgotten, but the service was impeccable. Our waiter Kamal was amazing; attentive, fast, and exactly what we needed since we were starving. The food was excellent: miso cod, spicy tuna on rice, egg fried rice, yellowtail jalapeño sashimi, chicken gyoza, chicken teriyaki with fried rice, and cake.

A Beautiful restaurant! This was quite the grand experience with delicious food. The service was impeccable. Warm and friendly feeling here with sophisticated vibes as well. It was easy to make reservations on the app and this is recommended because Katsuya attracts a lot of customers. This is one of the best places here at Baha Mar. The chef really provides excellent flavors with very pretty presentations.

Of the other 2 restaurants we ate at Baha Mar, this one was our least favorite. We showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation to a long line and twenty minute wait. Then were dropped at a table for 4 when we were a party of 5 without a chair or place setting. The waiters seemed agitated. We were agitated. The humidity of the outdoor tarp enclosed dinning area most certainly did not help. Oh, and the tables upon tables of overtired children. Helpful hint to moms traveling on a girls only trip: you don't have to eat dinner at 5pm anymore! The kids (your kids) are home and dinner can be *anytime*. The things I wish I knew before. There's also a kitchen for everything so everything comes out at random. The sushi is tiny with a big price (of course) and nothing particular stood out. The melting chocolate ball dessert was also a bit disappointing in its just melted chocolate but at prices like we were eating melted gold.

The food was amazing. I recommend the Chicken Udon Noodles, all the sushi, and the coconut parfait. The only reason this was not 5 starts was the service. While the food came out quickly, our server clearly was fed up with us quickly after starting to order. The design was nice, but it was a bit dark inside. Overall, great restaurant but needed a bit better service.

Pretty good for a Japanese restaurant. Visited on a Saturday night and it wasnt as packed when we made our reservation for 6 pm. Ended up getting packed at 7 pm. If you dont have a reservation, I did notice a couple of people end up waiting a bit for a seat. For food, we ordered the sashimi lion fish (first time trying it and absolutely loved the mixed firm and chewy texture) and the chicken teriyaki (dry, a bit rubbery. Sauce was ok). For appetizers, we ordered miso soup: tasted like miso, not watery. Generous with the amount of tofu and seaweed. Tofu was soft/melted right in your mouth and seafood was light and salty. For dessert, we ordered the coconut parfait: loved the presentation, looked like a realistic coconut with mango in between. The added brown sugar at the bottom made it feel like we were enjoying a coconut on a sandy beach. So sweet in mango and rich in chocolate and vanilla. Overall, we will come back here again. Staff was great, gave enough time to order, answered our questions, and served food at a reasonable time.

Chic restaurant decor. Nigiri was really delicious and fresh! Pretty pricey but that comes with it being on a resort. Service was great.

We started the evening with the Martini of the Night, which was absolutely superb and the perfect way to kick off the meal. The conch appetizer was outstanding and featured the best chimichurri sauce we've ever had--fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The crab cake was simply perfection. For our entrées, we enjoyed the red snapper and the grouper, and the sweet passionfruit sauce paired with the grouper was an unexpected delight that elevated the entire dish. We finished by sharing the peanut dessert, which was the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The service was just as memorable as the food. From the gentleman who welcomed us at the bar to our outstanding waiter, every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Chantell and her entire team made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a delicious rosé, had the pleasure of meeting Luigi, the sommelier, whose recommendations were outstanding, and were also honored to meet the Chef de Cuisine, whose passion and talent were evident in every bite. Fish continues to set the standard for fine dining in the Bahamas. The combination of extraordinary cuisine, impeccable service, and genuine hospitality is what keeps bringing us back. We already can't wait for our fifth visit!

We ordered filets, and a ribeye, the purred potatoes, baked potatoes, and glass of prosecco. Everything was cooked quite well and tasted delicious. Overall the vibe was low key fancy. The ambience: 0/10 due to it being extremely loud and not peaceful at all. It sounds like a noisy high school cafeteria. The food: 0/10 due to the taste being bad AND the price extremely high for what you get. We paid $80 for 1 filet mignon. Definitely not worth it. The baked potato was so overcooked. I feel like it had been cooking for days. It was dark and mushy inside. The Caesar salad was flavorless. The lettuce was wet and the dressing not tasty at all. There were 3 of us and our bill was over $500 for a noisy dinner with bad food. Take a pass on this steakhouse. You will regret going here.

As a major point within our meal - a guy with a broom and dustpan smashed and killed a giant centipede by the entrance while we were eating, not exactly appetizing. This took him over a full minute of hitting it on the ground while the entire restaurant was watching him do so. He actually broke the dustpan, he was hitting for so long. One of the most absurd restaurant experiences of our life. Watermelon Margarita 5/5 (Great drink) Piña Coloda 4/5 (Needs more pineapple) Chocolate Banana Colada 4.5/5 (Came back for this one) Steak Sandwich 4/5 Fresh Fish Tacos 4.25/5 Side Caesar Salad 0/5 (The salad smelled and tasted like feet, salad came warm, couldn't keep eating) We told the server about the Caesar salad who recommended we order it next time with cheese on the side. I NEVER send food back. In my entire life, maybe 2 or 3 times. For transparency, Caesar salads are my favorite type of salad and I've eaten no less than 100 of them in my life, many from different establishments. This was the first one I've experienced like this. We were still charged for the side salads that we hardly could touch. This was not a very pleasant experience service-wise, the drinks were good however. If you order the drinks as to-go you get more in them, just a little tip.

CocoCay is legitimately one of my favorite places in the entire world. I was here in the early 00s…read morebefore the massive overhaul, and I remembered it fondly as a kid. Now, every since RC decided to update the entire island, the experience has not only gotten better - it is absolutely out of this world. CocoCay is a picture-perfect island paradise, and is in fact often labeled 'the best private island in the business.' Once you go there for yourself, you will see why. First of all, the island itself is gorgeous. When you imagine a natural tropical island in your mind, CocoCay fits that exact description. RC did well to preserve the island's true beauty while also offering several modern accommodations. There are a few paid experiences that you can certainly spring for, but the included amenities are plenty to keep you happy. The island is built like a pinwheel - all the experiences brand out of the center of the island, which happens to be the entrance (or exit, depending on how you're walking) of the port. You can certainly walk around the perimeter of the island, but there is a tram service that makes it very convenient. CocoCay includes several beaches (both swimming and non-swimming), snack huts, a buffet, and a straw market for all your island needs. If you want to pay for the exclusive CocoBeach Club, you certainly can - but honestly, I felt like it was unnecessary. The included food is some of the best you will get out of your entire trip. Also, there can only be two ships in port at a time, so there are plenty of chairs available. RC docks very early in CocoCay - probably around 8am - and most people want to get off right away. My suggest to you is to have a slow morning and let everyone get off - by lunch time, people will be back on the ship to eat. I've been there twice in the last year, and when we got there around 11:30, there were still plenty of chairs available at Chill Beach. You have to be back on the shop by 5, and since it's there private island, they keep track of who checked in and who checked out. (But don't push your luck - respect the time of departure and get on the ship by 5!) This is definitely the highlight of RC's Caribbean / Island cruise. My only wish is that we get to spend more than a day here!

Came back from the Symphony of the Seas, when its sister ship (Wonder of the Seas) was also in…read moreport. I had the opportunity to watch while the Wonder docked right across from us, from our balcony. With each ship (both in the top 10 of largest cruise ships in the world, both handling ) docked, the island had to handle over 10,000 cruise guests at the same time, and the island seemed more crowded than for previous visits. There are towels stations located throughout the island where you can borrow towels against your room. The wifi that you are used to on the boat, also work on the island, with a handy map to get you around. There are paved paths, but a lot of dirt roads as well. I still haven't been able to make use of the shuttle transportation yet...it looks like you have to checkin, providing a bit more rigor. Will be back to the island later this year, so will need to try that next time.
