Update: 5/16/2024 - Lasik was a success! For those…read moreconsidering it, here are a few things to know. Total time from entering to leaving the clinic is about a hour to an hour and a half. I was lucky only 5 people were ahead of me, but I was told that it can be as much as 20 (so could be longer) - The actual procedure is about 15 minutes. They use a little suction first on the eye. This for me was the most irritation and pain of the process. Due to machine being pressed against eye and has to be centered. Not comfortable. Not long though. - The actual laser you don't really feel anything, the doctor uses a little brush to wipe your eyes. If your eyes water a lot like mine. They do use a tiny little vacuum to get the excess liquid. (kinda like at the dentist but 10x smaller) - Eyes are a little red from the suction. But you notice a difference right away. Can be blurry at times on and off which is normal. Eyes need to heal, but use the drops regularly and recovery so far is great! Recommend! Love the staff there! First time here, was helped by Tamika who was excellent! Very friendly and informative. Came here for the free consultation for lasik. If you never done this before like me. Here is what to expect. (do the patient registration online, saves you time) Took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. They basically do a whole eye exam again and have you watch 8 minute video about the process. They go over pricing, side effects, recovery time and after care after the surgery. Lots of information but so far good experience.

Even in a google search it comes up as "the most experienced," which is a blatant lie and dishonest, frankly illegal method of attracting customers. On top of this, they won't honor the lifetime guarantee given to dr. Whiting's patients even though the language in the provided agreement clearly implies that they must. Anyone who is being denied an enhancement as a former patient of dr. whiting's, i urge you to contact the bbb and file a complaint. You paid for custom lifetime lasik, which includes free enhacements. Dr. Whiting and Ovo clinic will not honor it. Whiting clinic will not honor it (which is absolutely illegal). Amazing that there are no class action suits.

Was surprised by how nice everyone was and looking at the reviews, most people are just cheapskates. These are your EYEs and it's important to have a good and experienced eye doctor. Dr. Omar Awad has done 75000+ procedures which was more than even the person in the informational videos who only did 60000! Plus the entire team made me feel comfortable and were friendly and honest about what to expect. They made it clear what to expect and gave me the proper droplets and post treatment LASIK instructions clearly. I feel like the people who left negative reviews really just don't read or don't follow instructions. Recovery took me 1 long sleep (11 hours), they do LASIK as late as 6pm appointments (I waited and got mine around 6:30pm). Overall, it was a painless and enjoyable experience and they do a rigorous prescreening process if you're eligible. If you don't have any other medical preexisting conditions, I would definitely recommend to anyone who's wanting to go glasses or contacts free!

I had LASIK done by Dr. Awad at LASIK Plus. Spoiler: I can see now, which is great. But the road to…read more20/20 wasn't exactly smooth sailing. I was surprised to find out that four of us were scheduled for the exact same 1:00 p.m. slot. I was the first one called back--at 1:50. So while the actual procedure really did only take about 10 minutes (they were right about that), plan to be at the clinic longer than you think. If you've got someone helping with childcare or driving, let them know to expect a longer visit. Before the procedure, they gave me numbing drops. I couldn't feel pain, but I was still very aware of the pressure and movement. I could see things happening--which, if you've never had someone work directly on your eyeball, is not exactly calming. At one point (okay, three times), I accidentally dislodged the eyelid holder they use to keep your eye open. I didn't even know that was possible, but it turns out if you're anxious and reactive, your eye might fight back. At my consult, I'd asked about meds to help with anxiety and pain afterward. Both were brushed off--"you'll be fine, just take a nap." That nap never happened. What did happen was five straight hours of burning, stinging pain that had me crying--not from nerves, just pure fire-in-your-eyeballs misery. The good news: I can see great now. But my eyes are still very dry, I need drops every hour, and I'm super sensitive to light. I also get eye fatigue quickly when I'm on the computer. Looking back, I wish I'd taken two full days off just to rest and recover instead of pushing through. Bottom line: the results are worth it, but don't go into it expecting a breezy experience. Prepare for a rougher recovery than they describe, and bring whatever support, meds, or backup plan you need--because no one's going to hand them to you the day of.

I wish I would have done it sooner, especially after the amazing experience I had at LasikPlus! From start to finish, the staff were incredibly welcoming and very helpful. I asked the doctor, who initially checked my eyes, a lot of questions and concerns I had about getting the procedure done. She reassured me that what I was asking was a normal part of the process. As for the day of the procedure, I was really nervous but excited. The doctor who did the procedure and the rest of the staff were very nice. The surgery was quick and wasn't painful at all. Immediately after, it felt like I had opened my eyes under water and things were a little blurry. They gave me some sunglasses to wear after. When I got home, sleeping was the best recommendation because my eyes were burning, almost as if I had gotten shampoo or hot sauce in them. When I woke up, my vision was clear and I immediately started using the eye drops. Overall, I am so happy with my decision to get Lasik and I really appreciate how easy and simple the process was at LasikPlus.

They checked my eyes the same as my regular eye doctor and answered all questions. I suggest bringing sunglasses because they dilate your eyes and it's bright afterwards. The surgery was quick and painless. It's been 3+ days now and my eyes are irritated but I go back tomorrow for a post check up. I'm looking forward to speaking with the staff again and having them confirm my newly perfect eye sight.
