Sent an email to Twin Cities Harley Davidson Lakeville (TCHD) last week. Not sure if they received it but they haven't responded. Following is a condensed version of the email I sent detailing the negative experience with their parts manager. First the background information: Had a slow external gas leak coming from the check valve quick disconnect fuel tank & fuel line fitting on my Street Glide. Called TCHD Parts Dept to inquire about parts to repair the leak. Parts person advised this is a common issue & they had a "check valve rebuild kit" for ~$20. Went to TCHD & got the rebuild kit. Parts guy said it should fix it. It did not fix the leak. Here's the repair procedure: Drain gas tank, remove both lower & upper O-Rings in check valve housing on gas tank. Clean any remaining old O-Ring debris. Lubricate new O-Rings & be very careful installing so as not to damage them. Refill gas tank & if no leaks, then cycle the fuel pump & confirm no leaks under pressure. If no leak at this point, then re-couple fuel line to the tank check valve assembly & cycle the fuel pump. If no leak, then issue is fixed. If still leaking, then search YouTube for correct size O-Ring. Researched online, found forums & YouTube video saying the Fuel Tool kit's lower O-Ring isn't always thick enough to seal that connection. Went back to TCHD Lakeville & took the Fuel Tool check valve rebuild kit I'd purchased the day before. Explained the issue to the parts guys. One parts guy said he'd heard of using a different O-Ring (Harley part #11273) to fix the issue. The YouTube video said the same. This is where it gets good: I asked the parts guy if he could "comp" me the O-Ring (11273) since the Fuel Tool kit I bought from them did not fix the issue. Said he had to get the parts manager. The parts manager came out & I had to explain this to him, twice! Parts manager didn't understand the repair or how the tank's check valve assembly works. He said "how do I know the new O-Ring didn't get damaged" during installation. Explained I took great care installing them. In fact, I brought the very O-Ring they sold me that didn't fix the leak. He could have looked at it & would have clearly seen the O-Ring was undamaged & in perfect condition, after I'd installed it AND removed it. He remained persistent that I "could" have damaged the O-Ring. Offered to show him the YouTube video referenced above but he didn't want to. Then he said something like he didn't see a reason to "argue" over a $2.00 part. Annoyed I paid for the O-Ring & stated that I agreed it WAS silly to "argue" over a $2 part. It was clear he was NOT going to give me the O-Ring. I left TCHD & thought to myself, I'm never going back there. The parts manager was right when he said it is not worth arguing over a $2.00 item, the only thing he missed is that was a terrible business decision on behalf of TCHD. BTW, the Harley O-Ring part #11273 did not fix the leak either. Went to local parts store & bought the O-Ring kit shown in the YouTube video, installed that O-Ring & it fixed the leak! The parts manager did not represent TCHD well at all in his interaction with me. He also completely missed, I never asked for a refund or to return the Fuel Tool rebuild kit, that did NOT fix the issue, even though it was recommended by their parts guy. I simply asked for a free $2 O-Ring that also did NOT fix the problem. TCHD parts people should have known that only 1 O-Ring was needed, especially since this is a "common issue" & they stock lots of these rebuild kits. Parts person should have asked if it leaked when the fuel line & tank check valve were decoupled, then they'd know only 1 O-Ring was needed. TCHD doesn't even have the correct O-Ring to fix the problem! I spent $20.49 for something I didn't need, plus $2.15 for a new O-Ring that did NOT fix the leak. Terrible experience with the arrogant parts manager who essentially accused me of damaging the O-Ring during installation. Plus, TCHD never responded to the email I sent them a week ago...that really topped it all off...not a good way to retain Customers.

This place is your average HD dealership. They seem to be geared at selling new bikes and their HD merchandise. It would be nice to see them offer some preowned bikes.

Loved working for these guys. Wish they still needed us. Great deals, great people. Amazing staff. Wonderful facility.

New owners don't give a hoot about longtime customers, I bought 4 bikes over time there, but I will not do business there anymore.

Leo's South in Lakeville MN has shoddy service…read more I'm not writing this review out of anger or frustration. Rather, I'm writing this out of sheer amazement, and also because my riding friends have asked me to. This started with a defective TFT display on my 2024 Ninja 500 40th Anniversary SE. After about 200 miles, a dead line appeared through the center of the display and never went away. I don't normally take my bikes in for their 600-mile service as I like to do my own maintenance. Seeing as this was out of my control and I wanted the warranty to cover the display, I decided to take it in at around 760 miles and have them do the repair and go over the bike. When I dropped off my bike at Leo's South in Lakeville, MN, I brought a microfiber cloth with me so I could give the bike a thorough wipe off in the parking lot, so I knew I was leaving it with them clean and in great condition. After they had the bike for about a week, Leo's called and informed me that it would take about 6-8 weeks until they could get a new display in from Kawasaki. Additionally, they told me that they are required to hold my bike for the duration of the warranty repair, leaving me without the bike for well over a month. After about 8 weeks, I got the call that it was done and I could come pick up the bike, so I went to Leo's grab it. Here's where it gets interesting... Firstly, the display apparently contained the mileage for the bike, so when the new display was installed, my mileage was back to zero. They were unsure if there was a way to load my miles, which Kawasaki would later confirm you cannot. I mentioned that this would probably cause me low-ball offers on resale due to the mileage being inaccurate, to which the service person said to me, "that's bullshit" and "you don't know what you're talking about". I was required to sign documents stating that they had performed the initial 600-mile service and that they had inspected and cleaned my machine... 1). There was some caked-on mud and debris around the rear wheel - I've never taken this bike in the rain. 2). The chain was visibly dirty and had obviously not been cleaned. If anything, it was dirtier than it was when I dropped it off. Not a big deal really. I clean chains all the time. 3). A fairing screw was missing on one of the lowers. This one bothered me the most as they said they would need to order in the screw. (SCREW that lol. I ordered the OEM part online to ship to my home.) I asked if they could give me a deal on the service cost due to the issues and they said no, so I paid the $120 and went home to clean and inspect the bike in my garage. All in all, the repair was fine. After I cleaned the bike off and installed the missing screw, it was back to its glory, minus 760 miles. Anyways, not a big deal in the end, but good lord, please stay away from Leo's for service. They have cool bikes for sale and their prices are fair, but their service team 100% ripped me off and will likely repeat this behavior. About 2 weeks later I received a $15 coupon for service.

Here's the truth, service department is awesome, easy to work with, more fair then most, reliable and most importantly, you can trust whatever they do is done correct. I've never been bothered or hassled by any sales people, always chum chum, what's up brother and nothing more. No pressure and no bullshit. Motoprimo is my go to always.

When I attempted to purchase a different bike, the sales person, Michael, informed me that he quit and would forward my information to a different sales person, which he never did. It was late enough in the season, that I didn't end up purchasing anything. I foolishly came back this year to try and purchase a similar bike, and found out that Michael returned to Motoprimo just in time to jerk me around again. They tried to sell the exact same bike as before for more than they quoted the previous year, and attempted to string me along promising a lower price and then trying to make me agree to a higher price. Motoprimo is in the business of lying, poor customer service, and wasting time. I've given them ample opportunity to make things right, and they obviously have no intention to. I'd rate them a zero star if that was an option. Save yourself a lot of time and don't even walk in.
