My first experience here was really easy, the truck was $39.99 + Tax and suited all my needs. There was some confusion over my method of payment, they authorize a card for $250 for deposit then you get charged after the rental is returned for whatever the cost is plus mileage, gas, etc. The $250 then gets put back on your card, well in my case they accidentally charged my card, luckily they were able to refund it and there was really no harm done. My second experience was just as easy, I asked for the same thing I had a month ago and there was no questions asked. Once I payed I notice the rate is suddenly $49.99 + Tax. There is no price listing I can find on the web site and when I asked about the change I was told they just moved their rates on the 1st of the month. Seemed a little fishy to me especially since it was May 1st and I was specific in asking for the same thing I just had less than 30 days ago. I would think at the time i was filling out paper work before actually renting the truck someone would have mentioned, "Hey, by the way our rates changed starting this month and it is different from your last rental". I didn't really feel valued as a customer who came back twice in a month to rent equipment and was a little upset I wasn't informed about the change in price. I called several towing companies looking for a rough estimate and some guidance on getting rid of my 2010 Toyota Corolla. Since I wasn't familiar with the process, I had a lot of questions, but most places seemed uninterested and weren't very helpful. I found Sell A Junker through Google, called, and spoke to (if I remember correctly) Riley, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how everything worked, from the assessment and towing to the title transfer and payment. He made the whole process easy to understand. They made everything pretty simple. We set up a time that worked for both of us, they came out to my car in South Minneapolis, looked it over, handled the paperwork, and paid me on the spot. They're based in Maple Grove, but coming out wasn't an issue at all. Communication was great throughout the whole process, and everything went smoothly. I was helped by Seth who was amazing as well, showed up right on time and was super kind and explained everything thoroughly and what he was willing to offer based on its condition.
