We usually come to Twins for their cold beer and friendly service. However, this go-round was horrible. Firstly, I had a set of DIRTY silverware and got a replacement with another set of dirty silverware. Next, I had a dirty mug and so did my boyfriend. We asked the server to change the mug (which would indicate new beer too) but I witnessed our server receive a new mug from the bartender to just switch it... dirty to "clean". Said server then said, "aww man I thought she was going to be cool and top it off." Then proceeded to be ignored. Finally, after about 25 mins of waiting, grabbed the check and to talk with the manager. Told him about the experience just for him to say that their "practice" is to just switch the beer to a new mug. Totally gross and just swapping dirty beer to another dirty mug. The excuse was "sometimes you can't see the glass's cleanliness from the dishwasher". I've worked behind the bar at places and have served for many years, and you can always see the filth. Went to see Copa America game and eat. Took few minutes to seat but not the issue. Issues was a party of 2 and no one served us over 20+ minutes. Were they busy yes but a table of 3 sat right next to us and they were immediately served their drinks. The service keeps getting worse and worse at that location. Won't be going back anytime soon nor would I recommend that location in Live Oak! I have never left a negative review anywhere but this really irritated me! read more

I'm a regular at twin peaks in live oak on the weekends.. the bartenders used to be awsome..but they are slowly but shirly all leaving.. the new ones now leave alot to be desired.. they never look up to see if anyone needs anything.. you litterly have to ask someone to get their attention..maybe it's time to take a look at the bar manager is this why they are leaving???new blood in bar management might be the solution!!! read more

We visited BJ's Brewhouse, and I was let down by their lack of Bud Heavy, which is the opposite of Bud Light. Nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the lodge-like atmosphere, the quick service, and the reasonable prices. My wife and I have decided to make it a regular spot. I would prefer nachos with hamburger instead of brisket, especially considering my Hispanic best friends. Hopefully, they can accommodate this request, like DJ's Doug Out in Omaha. What's with this place? They wouldn't let me run a tab without taking my credit card even though I have $300 in cash on the table. So they made me pay cash for every transaction. When they bring me back my change they decide to keep the 43 cents. When I asked her about it, they said they don't use change. when I spoke with the manager about it, he said they just rounded down. Who does that? I asked if he thought that was taking advantage of people and he insisted it wasn't and got angry and confrontation with me. Talk about horrible service. Where I come from this is called skimming and they will put you in jail if you skim over a certain amount. Zero stars! The serving girls were real nice though. read more

The restaurant just opened this week. We went on their first Friday night of being opened and it was packed! Our table of 5 was seated in under 5 minutes. Our waitress Haley was super friendly and ready to serve us. During our wait to receive our drink orders, a random waitresses would come by with a random drink and would ask if we ordered it. Being how busy it was and the fact that they just opened, I can see that happening. The appetizers and main orders were delivered hot and fresh. No complaints at all with the food or drinks. Waitress has 4 tables to serve, bar is NOT busy the barback and tender are dancing behind the bar to entertain 7 sitting at the bar. Food came out at different times with my steak but was good. The replacement server that was sent to us was stationed on the opposite side of the restaurant. Our appetizers came sometime later and not hot. The beer that was ordered had to be requested three times before it arrived. When our entrees arrived, one was chicken instead of beef, all of the fries and tenders were cold. When one of our party approached the manager about getting some service, he was rude, an attitude of not caring a bit and there was no attempt at apology for the situation. I've never had a problem at the other locations in the city however my experience at the new location was so bad that I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. The management was bad and the service was worse. I even talked to the GM Hector Webb and he did not resolve the problem, in fact he made it worse. Let's talk about a two star review. They went to a five star review. Alicia a manager here at Twin Peaks. Stepped up to the plate and did what you're supposed to do. It's called customer service. There's another gentleman working here told me was company policy, not to change televisions on a Sunday during football with an empty outside and 10 televisions and couldn't change one of them. Magically understanding what customer service means Alicia immediately took care of the problem when she observed us leaning around a corner to watch our GAME. We didn't even have to ask her to change the TV. She asked "what we needed". Customer service, the definition of customer service. other manager definitely needs to get a job at a car wash because he sucks at customer service. Alicia has her shit together. Service ..... does not exist here. The wait staff will stand & watch customers come in & make no attempt to recognize the customer. We had to chase our waitress down for service . Food was cold & mediocre. One burger was not made as requested. When we asked for a corrected burger, the waitress indicated since you started eating the burger, since it was cold, we have to charge you half.
