I cannot say enough amazing things about the wonderfully ladies of Twinfully Sweet! I had a very specific vision for our wedding cake but was on a pretty tight budget because our venue charge a cake cutting fee for any outside desserts served at our reception. I ordered a cake from Twinfully Sweet for my wedding in June 2018. It was about 3-4 weeks prior to the date (A little last minute!) because my dad was really bothered about how we were only having a cake for ourselves (which my mother-in-law wanted to make) and we weren't serving cake to the guests. We wanted it that way because we planned on having a huge 8 foot table filled with different dessert and candy. I wanted to please my dad by giving the guests an option of wedding cake, so I ended up stumbling upon Twinfully Sweet's website. I really liked how everything was laid out plainly -- photos, prices, what they offer. Definitely more affordable than a fancy overpriced bakery for a wedding cake. I emailed and got a response within 48 hours. I emailed with both Heidi and Hilary over the course of a few days going over exactly what I wanted. I told them the dessert table plan, they asked all the right questions, and even helped recommend things for me. I've It helps to have photos of what you have in mind, but they never recreate their cakes (which i love about them!) I showed them what I wanted, which was a very simple rustic white buttercream cake, which would be later decorated by my florist with fresh flowers before the reception. It came out perfect! The taste was also very delicious. Sweet, but not overly sweet. They use real butter and NOT lard, every time. The delivery option was incredibly helpful as well. I was lucky that they were available that day since they had another delivery -- so make sure you order ahead of time! From what I can recall, by the end of the night we had about 10-15 slices of cake left? I don't exactly remember! But the size (1/2 sheet) I ordered for about 100 guests worked out, given that I also had a whole separate 4-layered 9" cake my mother-in-law made, 3 dozen cookies, 3 dozen cookie bars, and a lot of candy! I would definitely recommend Twinfully Sweet to any family or friend. Heidi and HIlary are very professional and have a great business. The size was small and the vanilla flavor was pretty artificial tasting. This team is also pretty hard to get a hold of and mostly communicate through emails. They are licensed bakers who have a cottage food operation, which means they bake their cakes out of their home. They met with with my husband to be, mother, and I at a nearby coffee shop to try out the cakes and it was not only a sweet experience taste wise, but they are also very personable. I would describe their cakes as very light and airy in texture without the crazy sugar jolt you get from most bakeries in Orange County. We were served their confetti cake, red velvet, cookies and cream, and banana cake. Their cakes are also made personally by just the two of them, which means you don't have to worry about communication issues or an impersonal team of bakers working on your cake. They quoted us $3 per slice (not including decorations). They also charge one dollar per mile to your location, and they set up the cake themselves at your event space, which is not an extra fee. For these ladies, their bakery is where their heart is. They work at Trader Joes part time, and one of them has a baby on the way. We had a short amount of time before our wedding on Valentine's Day in 2015. I found Hillary and Heidi and they were able to make it happen for us! I let them know our theme as well as what I would like and through some brainstorm they produced a cake that was so beautiful!! I absolutely LOVE the cake they made for us! The red roses on top were so realistic that everyone thought they were real roses! I can't get over how much my husband loved our cake after he tasted it, and he normally isn't crazy about cakes but he kept commenting how delicious our cake was and that it was THE BEST chocolate cake he had ever had. That's saying a lot. They also made a personal square matching gluten-free cake for one of our guests and cute cookie favors.
