The facility itself is very well equipped, with more than 100 rooms. They also have separate isolation rooms in case a dog gets sick, which helps prevent illnesses from spreading to other dogs. I thought that was a huge plus. All new dogs are required to provide vaccination records, and they also do about a 20-minute temperament assessment before joining. Based on each dog's personality, they arrange suitable playgroups instead of just mixing all the dogs together. The staff are also very professional and attentive. They keep daily records of each dog's eating habits and bathroom activity, which really gives owners extra peace of mind. Overall, it feels like a very responsible and well-organized place for dogs.

Had to be put in time out multiple times. I was constantly watching on the cameras and he was playing with other dogs but something about it bothered the staff. Nothing out of the ordinary from when he is with his friends at the dog parks or at his other daycares. I chalked up t up to the staff being inexperienced and new. But, also not the right fit for us. I know people who have had a similar experience there as well. Now today this happened and why I am posting so late after I went there. I would definitely be nervous taking my dog there. Just wanted people to know if you had a dog staying at Smart Parke in Brea today 8/16/26 a dog got out and was running in the middle of the street on Birch . Luckily the cars all seen it and stopped. The dog got all the way to the apartments close to State College where a woman walking her dog was able to hold it. The Smart Parke employee then was able leash the dog safely. If it was my dog I would want to know. Hopefully they told the owners. It was a medium sized short hair brown dog.

He was on time and communicative about his arrival. I especially appreciated his knowledge of my dogs' breed and their temperament. He carefully but effectively trimmed their nails and was able to almost fully deshed them. My dogs hate blow drying and we're going through their seasonal shedding so it was not an easy task to deshed them. Overall I was very happy with William's skills and how he handled both of my dogs.

John is a really great trainer, and we're very happy with the results. Before training, Ghost had a lot of typical puppy behaviors -- digging, biting and chewing slippers, getting into things he shouldn't, etc. After he came home, those behaviors were basically gone. What impressed us the most is that the training really lasted. Ghost has now gone through his teenage phase, which we were honestly expecting to be a little chaotic , but he's still such a good dog. He understands boundaries, listens well, and is very easy to live with. Looking back, sending him to John at 4 months old gave him a really strong foundation, and we can still see the difference 7 months later. We're really happy we did it and would definitely recommend John!
