We tried their calamari appetizer and were quite disappointed. They definitely did not use calamari steak, which is tender and succulent. Rather, they use calamari at the low end, and it was correspondingly tough and chewy. They offer a choice of unlimited salad or soup. Our server completely forgot to bring ours until after our main courses arrived. Had we not inquired about it, I suspect it would have been missed completely. As it turned out, the salad was mediocre at best, which is surprising considering it was supposed to be fresh. Not so sure about their supplier. The olive oil and herb mixture they served with their rolls was much more fresh than their salad, bitter implying a positive situation (fresh phenols) when it comes to Extra Virgin or Virgin oils. We ordered their Carbonara with Angel Hair pasta instead of spaghetti and fortunately, it was some of the best I have had in probably 30 years. The main course made up for the appetizer, though.
