What a gold mine for anyone with a gluten allergy. My son has Celiac Disease so we are always looking for the best places to go that can accomodate him. The entire menu is gluten free!!! The sandwiches were great, I had a pulled pork sandwich and my son had a grilled turkey and cheese. My wife opted for a breakfast item, eggs benedict with a side of home fries, also excellent. We also go dessert, a whoopie pie and a chocolate scone. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly too. We drove 1/2 hour to get here(not long I know) but well worth the drive. I have Celiac and a dairy allergy so going out to eat is always stressful. Not only is it a relief to be able to go out to eat and not have to worry about cross contamination, the food and pastries were amazing! We got wraps, some type of cobbler, a macaroon, and a loaf of fresh bread to take home. It was hard not to buy everything in there! I was just in town for business and stopped here for lunch. Employees were so kind and accommodating about my excitement to be there. I really wish someone would open a place like this around me! I would definitely make the hour trek to Millis just to go to this place. My sister and my coworker do not have Celiac/are not gluten free and still loved the food! read more

Twist Bakery and Cafe is the best bakery/cafe I have ever been to! You would never know by tasting the food that everything is gluten free! My family and I have tried everything from the delectable baked goods to the soup, sandwiches (the rolls are heavenly!) and breakfast foods. We are now "Twist Regulars". Trust me when I say everything we tried surpassed our expectations! As well as the food, the owners are extremely kind and friendly. You can feel their passion and taste it in their food! This bakery/cafe is definitely worth the trip. Even the coffee is delicious and I am not a coffee fan! With all of the accommodations they make for other food sensitivities, they have something for everyone! With that being said, even if you don't have a food allergy/sensitivity you have to try this bakery/cafe, because no matter how you slice it, the food is absolutely delicious!! read more

I recently discovered that this bakery/cafe existed. I had been looking for a gluten free cake and rolls for sandwiches for my daughters graduation party. My daughter is gluten sensitive and I have a niece that has Celiacs. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and I was able to order a cake. (I should have ordered at least 4 days in advance and it was 3 days to the party) The cake, once we picked it up, was beautiful and was enjoyed by my niece and daughter. Before I left that day, I ordered a turkey BLT and a couple of cupcakes. The sandwich was amazing and I couldn't even tell the bread was gluten free. The cupcakes were amazing. It is nice to know I can find a special treat for my daughter. She has already gone back to try more of the cupcakes. She loved the Boston cream cupcake. My niece with Celiacs went to the cafe the same day my daughter picked up her cake. At first she was concerned that the place was all gluten free. She was assured by the staff and ordered a sandwich. My other niece told me she actually ate the entire thing. She is a picky eater and generally does not eat that much. I think she was relieved to know that there would be no cross contamination at the cafe and she could all of it with no fear that it would make her feel sick. I plan to return to eat more of the food and bakery items. I thought they were delicious and it is a bonus that my daughter and niece can eat out in a place with gluten free items. Some of the items, like the bread, may be a little more expensive but are well worth the price. It is fresh and delicious. read more

Even if I didn't have celiac I would go here! Great selection of treats that range from sweet to savory. Only complaint, as is with most bakeries, is there is too much frosting on the cupcakes. If you go do yourself a favor and grab a breakfast sandwich, regardless of what time you are there. Best breakfast sausage I have ever eaten. read more

Wonderful gluten free food. It is such a pleasure to have a safe place to eat without wondering for 2 hours if I am going to get sick. I don't enjoy much gluten free food, but Twist is awesome. Everything at Twist is delicious. The chocolate chip cookies and raspberry muffins are my favorite. The staff is so nice which makes the experience perfect. Great food, Buffalo chicken on greens salad is fantastic. Staff is always courteous. The one drawback is that it's fairly pricey.

I LOVE this place!!! Cannot say enough good things about this bakery. When I first arrived I was pleasantly greated by a guy behind the counter and I asked him what they had for gluten-free food. He explained to me that EVERYTHING there was gluten-free! I was in heaven knwoing that I could pick out whatever I wanted without being let down that I couldn't have it. Wow they have everything, I got the chicken nuggets which were bomb, some mini cupcakes - super yummy, and a rich coconut chocolate brownie bar. Everything was delightful and I had such a great experience that I ordered my birthday cake from them a week later! I ordered an 8" cake, beleiving it would feed 8 or so, well my mistake because it could probably feed about 16-20. The cake was done perfectly, totally worth the money and incredible tasting. I ordered a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and the best part was the chocolate chip/vanilla frosting layers inside. Such a great experience with this place- especially the guy working behind the counter if more people treated their customers with the courtesy he treated me with then god I'd be eating at a lot more places i guess! But definitely check this place out it is so cute and great, will absolutely be back. read more

I absolutely love it here. Their desserts are to die for, between the cake pops, cupcakes and whoopie pies there is nothing I don't like. It is great for a dessert or morning brunch but I wouldn't go there for a dinner. The food is okay but nothing that my kids enjoy. I closes very early most days which I do not like. I have many gluten free and egg free friends which makes this a great hang out spot. One good thing is there is a lot of parking and other things in the area. If I am running to the grocery store or bank to get something quick I can also get a little treat. Great service and looks very modern. Always clean and lots of seating. I like having the choice of eating outside or inside. No staff member is ever rude and they always stay positive and focused. The drink selection is amazing and I always talk about it to my friends. I have never heard a bad thing about this amazing cafe. read more

I love this place, their rolls they have for sandwiches is out if this world! I can't get enough of it, I also love their coleslaw, very very delicious! I haven't tried all the meals yet but so far excellent! Would love to see gluten free pizzas, clam chowder, etc. I love their desserts! I'll keep coming here! read more

This place is seriously amazing. You never have to say, "This is good....for gluten free." Nope, just really delicious for everyone, even those who can have gluten. The freedom walking into a bakery/cafe and looking at an enormous menu and multiple cases of baked goods and having whatever I want without any worry or question is crazy liberating for someone who needs to be GF. I've been going there for a while now and still I sometimes feel the urge to ask, "and you're sure it's gluten free?" Because it's so unbelievable to me. Thanks, Twist! read more

All I can say is, THANK YOU!! As the mother of a dairy & peanut allergic toddler, this place is amazing! We haven't been into a bakery in months for fear of an allergic reaction, so needless to say, we were thrilled to learn Twist is dairy and peanut free!! We were having extended family over for a visit, so we decided to bring home an assortment of goodies to sample. We tried the banana chocolate chip and blueberry muffins - both were moist and yummy! We also tried the s'mores, mocha, and plain chocolate cupcakes, all were delicious. My personal favorite was the vanilla cake pop - it was melt in your mouth good!! The best part was that we didn't tell the rest of the family members the sweets were all dairy free and they loved them! When I first arrived, I asked the girl behind the counter about the allergens - the owner was right there and spent a good 15 minutes discussing all the ingredients with me.
