We drove down from Conway NH. One of our sons drove with his family from SW Connecticut and we met our other son who is local and his family at the farm for lunch and to do the activities there. Their web page stated that lunch was available until 3:00. At 2:00 we asked the hostess to seat us and were told that they were not serving anymore even though they just sat another group. We went elsewhere for lunch. We also decided to go elsewhere for some fresh fruit and vegetables. We didn't want to take a chance that they their store might not be open either. Really cool spot with a restaurant (Farmer's Porch) attached to a farm store, pick your own flowers, farm, etc. I saw that people recommend making a reservation in advanced. Brunch does end at 11am so keep that in mind. My iced mocha and pb&j sandwich with a side of fries were all solid. There was also a pretty decent singer/guitarist playing on the patio. This is a very cute small farm with outdoor dining, farm shop, ice cream, apple picking, and a flower garden. This place happened to be exactly in the middle between where my friend and I live, so we decided to meet here for lunch. The street corn flatbread was tasty and cheesy, and my friend's fried chicken sandwich was also good. Service was friendly if a bit slow. After lunch, we went apple picking which was I think $34 for a peck which is pretty standard nowadays. They had macoun, macintosh, cortland, and some other varieties, but I prefer my macs. The apple orchard is very small compared to other places I've been, but served its purpose. Would have been nice to have a couple ladders in the orchard for easier access to apples on top. Would have also been nice if the bathrooms were not portapotties--my friend and I chose to hold it lol. They also have a pen with chickens, ducks, and goats that look fairly happy and well cared for. Tried to go today June 7th, we got ignored at the host stand by multiple employees, eventually having to go find someone. Turns out the restaurant could not handle any more guests, and said we needed a reservation but this was not stated on the website hence why we drove 40 minutes without one. But to hear a presumed server say to the host "this needs to be the last one" regarding the table that was being sat ahead of us and overall the environment feeling very unwelcoming we are unlikely to return. Which is bummer considering it seemed like a cute place. This review has very little criticism on us not being able to get a seat and more on the costumer service aspect of our experience. read more

I came in this morning with a 930 reservation. We were sat at our table, served drinks and then ignored for an entire hour. When our food finally came, my son's bread was moldy, Unbelievable that this place charges the prices they do and provides such poor quality of food and service. I have had food and drinks from the Farmer's Porch, all have been consistently good. I recently had their New Year's Eve special meal and it was a letdown. The 'fried' rice was a glob of soggy rice. The spring rolls were the size of skinny baby carrots, barely filled with about three tiny bits of some veggie. The Lo Main lacked any real flavor, and despite choosing our time for pick up, it was all barely warm. I wanted to support the local farm, but for the high price of the meals, it was a huge disappointment. We'll stick to the local restaurants next time. read more

What a great little farm for toddlers! Our family of four, all under three, absolutely had a blast picking apples, seeing the farm animals (chickens, ducks, and goats), and picking out pumpkins. I used to love Tangerini's. My daughter had her 6th birthday party here. We love coming for pumpkins and hay rides, but this summer we have been twice and both times were disappointing. Trip one We went for brunch, but were told we could not be taken without a reservation. It didn't look close to full, but whatever I know it's hard to staff places lately so we understood. Instead we went wildflower picking. It was a beautiful day so the experience was nice. For $17 we got a mason jar with about an 1.5" of water and access to the wildflowers. We made our bouquet and went home to add more water to the jar. The flowers started dying the next day and were completely dead within 3 days. My daughter was crushed and I was irratated based on the cost. We have bought flowers on the road side before for $5 and they have lasted weeks. Trip two (yesterday) We brought my mother for brunch and this time I made the reservation. We were a couple minutes late, but there was no one around to help us when we arrived anyway. The girl who seated us was kind and offered us a table closer so my mother could avoid steps. She uses a cane. I thought that was very nice of her, but my mum said she could manage and wanted to appreciate the views. We were seated and the same girl came back and took our order. All was going well. A different person brought out our drinks. I had ordered a bloody mary and it was not as described on the menu (lacking the bacon and other garnishes). Our food came out from another different person. My daughter and mother had ordered the pancakes. They were both very happy with them. My boyfriend and I ordered the avocado toast. It was not good. The bread was so hard I couldn't cut or bite it. I think the avocado was paste. Another person came by to ask how we were doing and I explained I was unhappy with my meal. She said the avocados are cut, mashed and then placed in a vacuum sealed bag and pulled as needed. GROSS. Not fresh. This is a farm. Shouldn't it be farm fresh and not served on stale bread. It was literally brown by the time she came over. She removed my meal from the bill but never offered me anything else or apologized. She just seemed annoyed that I even said something. Everyone had finished their meals and I was still working on my bloody mary. It had so much horseradish in it was tough to drink. Their scattered staffing never came by to remove the dirty dishes which was just annoying at this point because it was attracting more and more bees. Overall it was disappointing. They really need to work on their organization of food staffing, customer service and food quality. read more

Greet your table as quickly as possible after being seated 2. Take their order and repeat it back to them to be sure you captured everything 3. Own the whole order--don't let runners deliver drinks or other things--so nothing gets forgotten 4. Check in with the table after the meal is delivered. This is a must-do step that ensures nothing has been forgotten by the kitchen. 5. Scan all of your tables regularly to see if any customer is looking for you, needing something. 6. The sweet corn is great, but... Very high prices for all other produce, and they don't mark the prices on most of the items. In other places when there is a price per pound, there are usually hanging scales so the customer can determine the cost. Not so here. Dogs: no dogs are allowed on the property. Sometimes a dog owner has to bring his or her dog for various reasons. There is nowhere to park in the shade. When I mentioned that they could perhaps provide some shaded spots for this, the response was rather hostile. Not a customer friendly place, so will avoid once corn season is done. read more

Due to COVID 19 measures you have to make online reservations (only on Sat. & Sun.) to eat at the Farmer's Porch, same with the Hayrides which costs $8/person. Walk ins are welcome to shop at their Farm Stand for fresh produce, products from local vendors, baked goods, and their famous apple cinnamon doughnuts which is my favorite. Surely will come back for it. Just not happy with the Iced café Mocha (tastes like an ordinary ice coffee with not enough milk & could not taste the Mocha). Wonderful farm with loads of fresh produce grown right on the farm!!! There is so much to offer here and the prices are really reasonable even though most everything is organic. Win win!!! The blueberry crumb muffins are honestly the BEST I've had. This isn't your usual run of the mill blueberry muffin that is encrusted in tons of sugar...this blueberry muffin is filled with blueberries and lightly sweetened so that you can really taste the blueberries and not just sugar. The actual muffin is so fresh, soft and a little crisp at the same time. These muffins were just made and still warm when I bought them and brought them home. I would definitely get these muffins again, even at $7.95 for 4 pack. I also purchased some brandied peaches, pickled dill green beans, organic tomatoes, and the most cool organic YELLOW watermelon. I just had to get the watermelon and am dying to cut it open. I'll post pics as soon as I do in the next couple of days. Every time we go tho eat at the porch, there is always a problem and today was our last time. The wait has always been very long and the service has been inattentive, The food is not great either but we kept going because it is a nice setting. Today after waiting for 45 min, we asked if we will get our food soon. They found out that they lost our order and they only found that out after we inquired.. Needless to say we left without eating as we didn't want to wait for another 40 min. This is my 2nd lunch in this idyllic farm. They have a bunch of tables and chairs all outside in the shade and so comfortable. The menu is eclectic and so fresh so free out of the earth. Today the 4 th of July I got a lobster roll huge chunks of claw falling off the bun and my husband got the local sourced lilac farm Hamburger with potato salad Insane They place is super family friendly Hay rides today. I highly recommend! My friends and I had a wonderful time at Tangerini's. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the apple picking and then ice cream and apple cider donuts. The grounds were beautiful and the food was simply delicious. The staff was very friendly and seating was plentiful. Extremely poor customer service 05/06/2023. we get in based on reservation - table 15. we order drinks and food. One hour later, the food didnt show up. The drinks (bloodymary) come without bacon ; when we ask we get the answer "if there is no bacon in it, means we dont have bacon". When asking about the food order, we get notified only reactively that our order didnt go through. We paid for our drink and left. When notifying the manager Kasey , you get an even more arrogant answer, and she starts laughing..... they definitely need to train their people on customer service. Completely unacceptable. Just avoid the place; the food service has been historically slow, but for 2023 they are also adding arrogant and disrespectful staff. read more

Drove half an hour -45 mins here because of the great reviews, for their U-Pick raspberries ($5/pint or half pint not sure) after they announced it on Facebook. Unfortunately we didn't get to pick any because they were setting up fireworks there...just wish they said they were closing this U-Pick event early on their Facebook too. They have a donut maker though, makes apple cider donuts - half dozen $4.50. Good sized too and very soft and tasty! Grounds are beautiful, plant nursery looked well kept. They have a selection of stone crop succulents too. Cute chickens and farm cats walking around occasionally. read more

This was a terrible experience. I have never gotten up and left a restaurant before today. We were seated and no one came over for 15 min, I thought maybe we needed to order from the QR code (that wasn't loading) so I asked. Finally someone came over and we ordered food, drinks, and asked if we could please have water (coming off of soccer game) sooner than later. Another ten minutes later no water or drinks. I got up again. We were told the appetizer we ordered wasn't on the menu, again requested water. The entire time we were seated we were being swarmed by bees, as was everyone else, another ten+ minutes of sitting there and no drink order or food in sight so we decided to give it another five and finally left, despite most of the waitstaff standing around. Was looking forward to this and shopping int he store afterwards. FYI Port-a potty bathrooms that were filled with flies, wet mud floors, and not clean. read more

I really want to support this local business, especially since it is literally in my backyard, and while the place is super cute, with lots of options (pick your own, CSA, ice cream stand, cafe, farm stand, farm dinners, etc), it is really expensive. I've done pick your own here and other places in the area and Tangerini's is way more money (I got 2 lbs of blueberries at another local farm for the price of 1 pint at Tangerini's). Additionally, last year I had some wonderful lunches at the cafe, but this year, they raised the prices on the menu up $2-3 dollars, making it too rich for my blood. If they re-calibrated their prices, I would be a huge fan of this place because it's a wonderful farm and a wonderful addition to the community. read more

Had the steak quesadilla. No where in the description did it say it would be heavily seasoned with taco seasoning. Really was inedible. My husband' had a hot dog & chips. Hot dog was great except the roll was dripping in butter (used to brown it). Homemade chips were over cooked. Two rating is for the atmosphere. read more

Small farm offering flower picking! Nice sunflower patch along with many other offerings. My grandson enjoyed the small kiddie area complete with chickens and goats. Sunflowers are $1.75 a stem . A limited number of pruners are available. There is a small farmstore selling canned items as well as fresh vegetables, baked goods flatbreads and salads . The first time we went we enjoyed the lunch and apple picking, and so brought back a group for our second visit. The apples were fine and the lunch / ice cream were good but we probably won't go back again. This time on our visit, on our way up to the orchards the owner stopped us to see whether we had a bag - subtly implying that we were going to the apple orchards to help ourselves to apples without paying. When he saw that we had bags he backed off. Later that afternoon my boys were playing with (tossing to each other) some apples that were already on the ground - I know this because I questioned them about this to begin with - but then the owner drives up in his car really close to them and starts yelling at them not to throw apples, saying there's a sign, etc. He did apologize for yelling but wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise to explain and he seemed pretty angry. We acknowledged we shouldn't be throwing apples but the tone and aggressive approach in his car shocked us all.
