It is, simply, a pork loin sautéed in garlic butter on a 6 inch Milano bun toasted with garlic butter. It is SOOO good. So good that I have driven 80 miles, roundtrip, every year for the past 6 years to go get it. They also have an Italian beef version of the pork. It is called the Italian pork. It is like an Italian beef, but it is shredded pork on that same soft, tasty Milano bun. Good eating!!! (I always get mine dipped) This is a summer staple of Will County. It IS a pork WAGON (truck). So you have to follow their schedule which is on their Facebook page. The month they are camped the longest, in one location, is May, setting up in the parking lot of Vilt's Greenhouse. Check the schedule!!! (They are camped in other locations, around Coal City/Wilmington area, from May to Sept.) The workers are family to me. Hell, they treat me better than my own family! On 7/5/2021, I was about to drive 7hrs back home, i decided to get all my favorites listed above except popcorn shrimp; i skipped breakfast, and my son was asking for food because he's hungry too. My dad COMPLETELY freaks out because they were going to make lunch later, which would have been too late for us so he YELLS at me to leave, without fighting, I grab my son and wife, our belongings, and start leaving (with my delicious food), then he purposely sneaks around the corner while no one is watching and asks . "Are you going?" I respond quietly "yeah" he responds, "good, don't come back... Asshole." I respond: "i love you too dad" , then drive home where everything is closed and the only thing i have to eat is this plate of gyros. Oh how i wish i had real parents. Mind you, this is after we took them out to lunch yesterday received a $75 parking ticket after paying $7 for parking, without a thank-you, and just bought them an large double box of cold beers. Shutdown our business to drive to chicago to surprise them for fathers day party, decided to hold off our vacation plans to go somewhere we've never been.
