My daughter and I were out enjoying the afternoon and she wanted to try twisted by Wetzel. I knew they were a little pricey due to previous reviews when they first open up and wish we had a coupon for their food items and or drinks. She tried the bacon ranch dog, which was good, but very pricey, and did not include a drink or any combos. It was almost $10 just for that item by itself they definitely need to have combos available and for the prices drinks should automatically be included with every purchase. I visited shortly after opening. Management was outside and pretty much stared me down as I was parking and when I walked up to the door. I almost was gonna turn around by how unfriendly they look/acted but I decided to go inside anyways. The cashier was very friendly and attentive though. She was happy to explain any menu items to me but I had already gone online and knew what I wanted to try, lol. I ordered two regular pretzels with the nacho cheese. These were pretty good, I like how they have this type of cheese as opposed to other pretzel places that have the packaged cheese cups. This definitely tasted better. I got the pizza pretzel and this was pretty bomb! It had a good amount of pepperoni and cheese and it was very soft. My least favorite and it could be because I didn't eat it right off was the maple/bacon pretzel. The pretzel wasn't soft (anymore) and it over all tasted dry. It needs more maple drizzled on, also the bacon didn't stay on cause the lack of syrup to keep it on. My order was over $30+, that is crazy for just some snack food! Both were so tasty and filing and definitely shareable portions. (For the Baja Elote I suggest light on the smoked chili dust because it's not spicy but overpowering in flavor) We also order the Chimney Cakes in cookies and creams and rainbow crunch and we all were in love at first bite. The chimney cakes had a crunch yet soft shell with a nice sugar coating and it was our favorite part and what's not to love about soft served ice cream? Impromptu stop while looking for the nail shop. Who doesn't love a good pretzel?! I let my son pick and he went with the sinful cinnamon bits (so simple although I'm not complaining) and I got a peach machta something. The drink was really good. I love anything matcha so I might be slightly biased. The pretzels were old and obviously had been sitting for who knows how long. If they were fresh, I might've given them 5 stars but they weren't. I should know better by now and ask for everything fresh so it's piping hot. I mean it's an amplified wetzel pretzel with ice cream and more sweet options to pick from. Stopped in after shopping in the plaza. I'm visiting from WA state and saw Wetzel and wanted a quick snack before I headed back to my hotel. The shop was bright and clean. Service could use some improvement. I walked in 3 workers behind the counter and not one of them greeted me. So I finally ordered something and the young lady at the register still didn't really greet me. Neither did the other 2 workers. She asked for my name after placing the order, yet didn't call my name when she was bagging up my pretzel bites. She also bagged it up with grease dripping all over the bag... handed it to me when I walked up to the counter and still didn't really say anything. If you don't want to greet or acknowledge tour customers, maybe find a job outside of customer service. So miserable and unprofessional. This was our first visit as this location just opened recently. First impression was it was bright, clean and very, very busy. The line was nearly out the door when we arrived. School had just gotten out and you could definitely tell. Service was super fast which was great and they told us someone would call our name when our order was ready. I had looked online ahead of time to see what I'd possibly like, but if you walk in there are menus on the counter to look over that explain topping etc. the one on the wall just has the name not what it stuff comes with it. They offer your regular wetzel pretzels you're used to, but also pizza ones, hot dogs, icecream ones and even a s'mores loaded bites which is what we tried. It was pretzel bites with chocolate chips and drizzle, graham cracker crumble, and you guessed it marshmallows. We also ordered regular pretzel bites with their queso cheese. There are quite a few tables inside to enjoy your treats or take them to go. We opted to sit and eat, but the place fills up quick so be prepared you might have to wait for a seat or take it t go. All in all everything was pretty good. The queso was spicy and pretzels warm and soft. They were really working fast to keep up with demand. There were a lot of employees. The downside to me as it seems to be with a lot of the other reviews I read is that it is pretty expensive. For those two items I paid around $20 and got guessed it they ask for a tip at the keosk. My Oreo cookies and cream pretzel was not cooked all the way through and tasted odd. It was also an odd combo of a pretzel something salty and savory with a icing something sweet and sugary. I pictured in my head that it would work but with the combining flavors it doesn't work! Which made me start to think about the rest of the menu possibly being "off" and "odd" tasting as well. As they are all quirky flavors of pretzel. I think you can get the normal wetzel flavors if you just go in for that. The inside is new and clean the decor was fun to sit in for a day out activity. My husband had the pizza bomb which I tried which again was a weird combination of flavors the pepperoni in side just didn't fit. I think just a cheese bread would of done the job. It also had a pretty thick layer of Parmesan which just threw me off and once again was doughy not cooked. *I will say though I'll give this place another try in a couple months as it is new and they were training the day we went! Arizona's newest ultimate snack shack opened up in Surprise, Arizona inside the Village of Prasada right off the Loop 303 and since we LOVE pretzels so much, we had to try it. Plus Wetzel's just bring us back to the mall stage as a young teenager honestly. This NEW concept is one of only 2 in America - it basically takes their famous dough you know ... and possibly love (we do!) and transformed it into Insta-worthy snack creations. When we first walked it, it was busy but it was vibrant, bright and very clean. Plenty of seats and people eat fairly fast so we only had to wait a moment for our party of 9 to find a spot! We ordered the PIzza Bomb, Strawberry Lemonade Slushy, Rainbow Crunch Chimney Cone, Pizza bites and the Oreo Chimney Cone. The lemonade was really sweet and blended great. The Chimney cones were so fun and really tasty too. The rainbow crunch tasted like a bowl of fruity pepples. The pizza bomb and bits were OK but I wish there was marinara or something we could dip it with because it could of used a little sauce to help with the bread. It was a really cool spot to take the kids.. especially to celebrate back to school and they enjoyed it a lot. I will say it was almost $25 for 3 items and for our family of 5, that is a kind of a lot BUT is it neat and fun for special occasions... absolutely. With that being said, it's location is solid. I got the salted wetzel bites which were good, but my gripe is that the cheese sauce they give you is not the same as regular locations. It comes in a small round reusable container, almost as if it's made there. I like the prepackaged labeled and sealed ones that are at the mall locations. The drinks were delicious I recommend both of the them! However, the classic bites were slightly burnt and pretty hard. The regular cheese sauce was cold. We saw them make our food from scratch, and it didn't take long for us to get our orders. When I got my Nashvile Heat pretz, it was hot, but it got cold pretty quick, but it was still good. I liked the twisted sauce, as it matched well with the spicyness of the powder that was put on top of the pretzel. The food was kind of pricey, but food in general is just expensive. I especially like their lemonade. I got a peach matcha palmer, and it was delicious. I couldn't really taste the matcha, but that's good for me since I'm not too fond of matcha.
