When we walked in, there was a band playing, and while we weren't planning on getting anything to eat, we just sat at one of the tables on the bridge, so we didn't have a server, had to go to the bar to get our drinks, which was fine. Found this great wee place by accident on a last minute day trip to the keys. We didn't know where we were going or what we were doing but once we found this place we were sorted. The staff were really helpful and even helped us find the right guy ( and his wee dug *dog* murph ) to get us out on a tour to a sand bar. my first time at a sandbar and I highly recommend. I would go back tomorrow if I could. highly recommend the country breakfast that set me up for the day and the chocolate milk cocktails. cocktails aren't usually my thing but that was a good drink for a hot day. What a beautiful location and the food is every bit as delicious as the location is beautiful stone crab chowder is amazing and everything you want nut chowder. I don't know if I'll be able to eat clam chowder after this. The stone crab chowder was so good... Ehhh... Just OK. It's a bar. Sits out on the western part of the Gulf of America. We primarily went there to watch the sunset and have a couple drinks. They were cold, had a local IPA. That was good. Only problem we had was not the server. She was phenomenal. I would've deducted a star if we didn't have a good server. She was the one that made all the difference. Unfortunately there's a lot of people who smoke there. You name it it smoked there. Pot smokers, cigarette smokers. And yeah, it is outside, but the smoke lingers all over. If you can handle the smoke, then this is the place for you to watch the sunset. It's a beautiful location, but the people who show up there especially near the bar. Are you typical bar people. As you can tell, I don't smoke, and I do understand it's outside, but I would say we were surrounded by about four or five people who were chainsmokers. They couldn't give it a rest. We were greeted by our bartender promptly. Not too busy as it had rained all day. Our drinks were delivered quickly. Nice and cold beer and wine for my cohart. He ordered the blackened grouper. I had the pork sliders as I've eaten fish for three days!!! They were delish. The food came out in a timely manner and was warm. Our server kept up on our needs. We were visiting, so we had heard how great it was. This is a great local place and tourist are very welcome. Friendly servers and locals. We will likely come back if we pass thru again. Atmosphere was great, but food was disappointing. Had stone crabs and conch fritters both of which were barely edible. Asked the server what size the claws were and the answer was "the normal size". Stopped by on our ride back to the hotel for the happy hour (4-6). Self seating is the style here. Walk in and pick from bar seating or bay front table seating. We opted for the bay front tables. Sadly we weren't great in our 20 mins so didn't get a chance to try their food or drinks. Seemed like a cool vibe. They were having a "magic show" later in the evening. Went in for lunch at 2. Sat at the bar. There for 5 minutes and no acknowledgement. We asked for menus and he put them down and walked away. 5 minutes later a party sat beside us and he greeted them. Gave them menus and acknowledged them. We travelled a way for the alligator lighthouse race, we were tired and hungry, and this place was highly recommended to us and we ended up walking out. Great open air spot with one of the best views over the bay by Islamadora. They had live music both days we went. Their fried Mahi Mahi and coleslaw were delicious. They have excellent drinks including a Key Lime pie colada that is crazy good. We were served by Nichole (Chicago) who was very pleasant and gave us great service. A tasty and relaxed spot not to be missed when spending time in the mid Keys. read more

The ambiance was good- outdoor seating on a great night. That is where it stopped. Took a while to get an order in and longer to get served. Second drink was short of impossible. Ordered peel and eat shrimp for group. It was only after we finished the shrimp did we get napkins or plates. Then It took forever to get our main course and it was good and would have been better if it had been at a higher temp. There is a lot of places to get great service and food but not sure this one of them. On top of that we were forced to pay 20% gratuity for a group of 6 or greater. Having a little lunch before lobster mini season . Stopped in . Covid protected place that requires masks and distancing. Sat at bar and service was ok. Not too quick or prompt but very nice ladies. Food was prepared. The salad came with shrimp not the snapper and the server quickly fixed it without even asking us. She did ask if we had shrimp allergies, this was to avoid any cross contamination. Well played!! Sandwich was tough not not tenderized enough. But over all food was good. We sat at the bar, bartender Alex helped us originally, he ignored us after that, after waving at him several times he came over, we asked for another cocktail and told him we were ready to order food, then he went to the end of the bar and started helping others, we finally waved over the bartender (Taren) from the other end and she was great! We were driving home from Key West and decided to stop at this place as we've been here before for drinks. They have great food and great drinks. It's in a special spot right on the water and is an awesome place just to chill and relax and soak in the essence of the keys. We decided to try the lobster special and split it since we weren't that hungry. The lobster was fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious along with the rice and vegetables. I washed it down with a ice cold beer and a glass of wine and continued our journey north. One member of our party didn't like her entree at all, as in her plate was still completely full & told the server that it was not at all good when the server asked if she needed a to-go box. The server completely disregarded the comment and didn't respond at all. I had the key lime snapper and found it to be very bland/very lacking in flavor. Definitely not worth the $26. The fish sandwich was very bland as well. We were also swarmed with flies the entire meal. We've been there in the past and had a good experience. we waited over two hours before checking in and finding out that the pagers weren't working properly and they paged us 40 min ago. Then we get seated and 40 min after ordering the waitress let us know that the kitchen lost our order and that they would put it in as soon as they could. We waited another 15 minutes and left. We won't be returning. It's not worth the wait or aggravation for average food. There are better options in Islamorada. read more

I ordered the steak and it was dry and full of fat, had absolutely no flavor what so ever as a matter of fact dirt has more flavor than this steak. The fries were extremely greasy, and I tried the fish and it left a horrible taste in my mouth. I would rather go to McDonald's 10 out of 10 times. I would rather sit at home and Clip my toe nails for three hours straight than ever return to this restaurant. If you want a nice view go to the beach. If you want a preview on how the food tastes, go visit a local trash disposal. As a matter of fact I rather eat a stink bug than eat at this restaurant again.
