It's very casual, currently BYOB. We split the shrimp tacos (serving size is 3) with a side of rice and beans. The shrimp were delicious, as was the light sauce and fresh mango salsa added just the right color, texture, and flavor. If we go back again, I'd have them again. We were there for lunch and sat outside. There's a number of deep fried items on the menu, so the air outside was more palatable for me. Found this place trying to get a shrimp fix. THANK THE MAKER I did. Natalie was amazing helped me navigate the menu for kids and even made sure to add all of the "tricks" to let kids eat in the car. I did take out but next time I'll be sure to dine on the patio that looked super chill. Food was fantastic. Had the Brussels sprouts and a pound of shrimp. They were great. We have been in Islamorada for about 6 days and have visited Twisted Shrimp twice. The first trip we got fried shrimp and sweet potato fries. The shrimp is lightly fried with gluten free breading and they are HUGE. We live on the crystal coast of North Carolina and the shrimp at Twisted Shrimp are way better. The sweet potato fries are seasoned well and don't taste like your typical sweet potato fry. The second visit I got the crab cakes and coleslaw. The crab cakes and remoulade were awesome. The coleslaw was alright but it had raisins and I wasn't a huge fan. My husband got the jerk shrimp skewers over dirty rice and he said they were delicious. The staff here is very friendly, helpful, and patient. They have outdoor and indoor seating. We love it so much we had to buy a T-shirt! The prices are decent for the amount of food you get and the location. You would miss it if you weren't looking for it, so keep your eyes peeled. read more

The second visit I got a chicken and shrimp wrap with fried okra. The fried okra was just okay, but the chicken and shrimp wrap was amazing.
