Twisted Sugar is my favorite cookie ever. I love that fresh lime juice on the cookie that really gives it a burst of bright flavor. The drive-thru is nice and convenient. I've had some of the drinks but not frequently enough to remember what any are, but I've liked all of the drinks I've tried. I go for the more flavored water types since there's more than enough sugar in the cookie already. Got a 6 pack for a game night and tried several others (COOKIES & CREAM,CHOCOLATE CHIP, LEMON RASPBERRY SUGAR, SALTED CARAMEL SUGAR, SUGARDOODLE) and we liked all of them. Cookies and cream, lemon raspberry sugar, and salted caramel were the biggest hits. Cookies are beautiful and apparently delicious, but don't try to order online or call the Cottonwood Heights store to try preordering. They don't have a phone that works and should maybe consider disabling their order online button for the CH store so customers don't waste time entering an order and all their info then not be able to 'complete your order'. I wasted a good 20 min trying different browsers, checking my info to see what I had done wrong, still could t order. So I went into the store only to find out that location's website online ordering doesn't work at all and they don't currently even have a phone. Very frustrating experience! read more

The first time I tried Twisted Sugar, I drove a long way, encountered unhelpful and unenthusiastic employees, and felt like the cookies were just OK. Not a great experience for me. Then someone brought some Twisted Sugar cookies in to work, and I enjoyed them immensely. I guess I chose the wrong ones before. So when I saw that a Twisted Sugar location was open much closer to me, I decided to give it another go. I went at 2:30pm on a weekday, and it was surprisingly busy. I'll be honest that I find the cookie selection overwhelming, but the case is helpful for a visual, and I guess the benefit is that there's something for everyone! I got an Oreo cookie and a Twisted Sugar (I love coconut). I also recreated the Texas Tab I get from Swig (DDP, SF vanilla, coconut creamer), and they did a really good job! I was super happy with my soda. The cookies were both really good! The caramel drizzle on the Oreo cookie was yummy. And you can't go wrong with coconut lime, of course. In retrospect, I wish I had tried a peanut butter based cookie rather than two sugar-based cookies. The Reese's peanut butter cup was one of their cookies of the month, but it didn't have a label on it in the case, so I didn't know what it was. Next time! There's also a note on the menu to "ask about secret menu items." I didn't see that until after I ordered and paid. Learn from me, friends. Head's up: getting in and out of here is a bit of an ordeal. It's a one-way situation, and the way out is through the drive-thru. I honestly really really wanted to like this place. This was my second time there, and my last. The first time I was pretty disappointed. I got a selection of 4 cookies. Chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, sugar doodle, and the lemon raspberry sugar. The chocolate chip cookie happen to be the worst chocolate chip cookie I have ever tasted. It was like 2 inches tall, dry, and flavorless. I took a bite of it and it basically crumbled all over. The sugar doodle is ruined with the thick sugary frosting. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is as thin as they can come. It might as well be a sugar cracker. You can't even taste the oatmeal, because it's over powered by sugar. I took a little bite of the lemon raspberry sugar and ended up throwing it away. Tonight I thought I would try it again because I was craving cookies. I knew for sure I shouldn't get the chocolate chip or the lemon raspberry sugar. So I went with two oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and the sugar doodle. Once again, I am disappointed. My only question, and this is a for real question..... is anyone tasting these cookies before they sell them. I realize the name is twisted Sugar. But your cookies literally taste like sugar. They do the mixed soda thing well and I like that they have zero sugar options. For sodas alone I'd say 5 stars. But if you're going for cookies, they are not the best cookie joint in town. I enjoyed having a wider selection, and our family selected a variety of flavors to sample. My friend had recommended this cookie shop (she lives in Ogden) and the CH location was the only location near me during Covid. I was so excited to try it and I was so excited. I want to go back and try all the flavors, but my favorite so far has been the biscoff. I also love that they have Gluten Free options now too (only the white, sugar cookie flavors have GF options currently). Never heard of this place before. My friends and I stopped in on a whim and we really enjoyed the cookies. The prices are pretty great considering what other similar places are charging. Some weren't super sweet while others were definitely sweeter but the sugar cookie (base) itself was very enjoyable. The inside was quaint but cute, they have a small drive through. The guy working was nice and working hard alone serving us and the people in said drive through. read more

I love the cookies here so this review isn't about the product. Unfortunately customer service throughout our society has gone completely down hill, which is sad because it's important, and this place is no exception. Stopped in tonight to grab a 1/2 dozen cookies. 2 young blonde females were working the store. No one in the drive thru or the store besides me and my 8 year old daughter. Anyway both girls were around the corner by the drive thru window and heard us come in. However they decided to take their own sweet time and continue hanging out without acknowledging our presence. After a few minutes a young blonde girl with greasy hair, parted down the middle walked around the corner, didn't say a word or look at me or my daughter and began typing away on the register. My daughter and I just stood there in silence for 3-4 minutes until I finally asked if she'd like to take our order and if she usually didn't make eye contact nor greet her customers when they come in the store. She simply ignored me and smirked. I ordered my cookies and left in disbelief. On my way out I saw both of these girls laughing through the drive thru window. I would say that the owner needs to spend some time training customer service skills and how to do it with a smile. I get these young kids brains are fried from Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram and all the other nonsense out there but cmon! Plenty of cookie places around, standing out is important. As a business owner this is disheartening to say the least. Even my 8 year has better communication skills. Wow! For those of you who are gluten free ( not for a stupid diet, but serious health reasons) I do NOT recommend ever getting their so called gluten free sugar cookies. I was so excited when I found this place and that their menu included gluten free options. The first time I had their cookies I got sick but due to other family members not feeling well either I blamed it on something else rather than the cookies, not to mention that my sister who is also gluten free ( celiac disease ) didn't get sick. So earlier this week for my moms birthday we got some cookies from there. We had a meal that I knew for a fact was 100% gluten free and home cooked, later that night I got really sick and knew it was the cookies. It is extremely frustrating to see restaurants advertising gluten free food options, that ultimately aren't safe for people with Celiac disease to eat. Celiac disease is a serious auto immune disease that seriously affects ones health. It is NOT something to put on your menu unless you are going to take the precautions SERIOUSLY, not cutting corners, sharing cooking space, utensils or any type of cross contamination. I understand not every place has the ability to accommodate to such serious precautions, so if it's something you can't fully provide DONT PROVIDE IT AT ALL. there is a part of the process of being burned by reckless employees and staff that hurts not only someone's feelings but their health as well. I think cookies have taken over the cupcake business. This cookie shop is probably my favorite out of the ones in my area. The biscofff cookie is one of my favorites! One of my favorite things about this cookie shop is they offer soda's as well. So I can get a sweet treat and a refreshment as well. Gluten free deliciousness! My son was thrilled to find a GF cookie that tasted almost like shortbread with a great texture and taste. It was my first time and I learned that I choose the cookie base (in this case GF has one kind but there are others non GF) and then pick from a variety of unique flavor frosting combinations. The cookies and frosting weren't too sweet which was perfect but just scrumptious. They also have some yummy sounding drink/soda combinations on the menu that we may try next time. I would recommend picking different toppings and then sharing them so everyone gets to try a few flavors. In this case 4 of us, 4 different cookies and voila we get flavor bonanza! They have designed their cookies so that they"melt in your mouth." However ,they tend to fall apart in your hand. They are all super sized so that one cookie is a meal. The flavors are so mild that it is hard to tell one from another. The ones with cream cheese frosting are missing the cream cheese flavor. All in all, not fun way to spend your cookie bucks. read more
