Laid back but classy. The service was simply perfect. It's always appreciated when you feel like your server truly enjoys waiting on you, and Hayder delivered. There is a huge aquarium with really cool fish - even two lion fish! Speaking of fish, the lobster tail included with the surf & turf special was superb. Cost is always relative, but iMO Two Fillets was relatively less than what I expected. Two apps, two entrees, a dessert, two drinks and a bottle of Napa wine came in under $200. WAITER TRIED TO TAKE OUR MONEY... WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS! I know that sounds like a common title and you are probably rolling your eyes now. But believe me, if you make the mistake of going here, you will feel the same way. First, the service was awful. I always try to be respectful and give wait staff the benefit of the doubt, especially now, with how short staffed 99% of places are. I tried to do this here.. but by the end of the dinner I realized that this was NOT due to short staffing. We did not get water until after our appetizers had already come out... even asking multiple times. Our waiter would go MIA for long periods of time. The drinks were not good. Very weak and just tasted disgusting in general. I am a big fan of Lychee and decided to try their lychee mojito... lets just say, skip it and instead drink some cleaning supplies at home. It'll save you some money. The food was bland and lacked flavor overall. This was really just not worth the money. To add, I realize this was situated on a busy road, but it was just loud and overall too much. The ambiance was lacking. FINALLY and WORST OF ALL. We went to pay the check, since it was a few of us, we paid partially with cash ( A $100 dollar bill) and the rest with a credit card. We said to him, "use the cash first and put the rest on the card". Well... luckily the cardholder gets notifications of charges made on his card... and we were charged the FULL check.. not the check minus the $100. After he charged the card, he dropped it back at out table and went MIA AGAIN. We were waiting for probably 15-20 minutes until we finally got ahold of the manager, who was helping multiple people who were complaining about various aspects (service especially). Then miraculously, our server reappeared. The check was fixed, but we got the feeling that this was not a mistake.. and was on purpose. It seemed as if a lot of the wait stuff was on some type of drugs and not all there. I would just save your money, and go anywhere else. Not worth it at all. Poor experience. Party of 4 here for a 7pm Friday night reservation. First of all, the FOOD was outstanding -- hangar steak, grouper Oscar style, and two petite fillets were our entrées. All were excellent, but hangar steak was out of this world delicious! [A table tip for Two Fillets -- your salt & pepper dispensers look really modern and stylish, but they aren't great at all for peppering a salad or salting potatoes.] Position of our table wasn't great -- back corner of patio with no air movement and a dripping AC unit [that wasn't on], next to a loud table pushed way too close to ours [especially considering the patio was half-empty], with extremely limited room to walk around. And the road noise from 41 / Tamiami? WOW, it's freaking LOUD. Our SERVER was great -- quite earnest in her desire to serve and assist [we really liked her], but we had three swings-and-misses with my mom's wine -- as a result we basically missed cocktails together, and then it wasn't comped [which, considering how long it took to get her a drink, would have been a nice touch]. Not sure what to tell you about price point, since it's a big variable for everyone. Soooo... I was planning to spend about $200-$250, but for us [with tip] it landed at $335. Where they get you is ala carte everything -- butter on your filet? $5.00 Small potatoes? $7.50 Large brussel sprouts? $10. [And our server never asked if we wanted the small or large option, and we didn't know we got charged the larger portion options since we'd never been there ... so partly our fault for not asking, and partly our server's fault for not clarifying.] Overall it was a four out of five star event for us. Next time we would sit inside or closer to a fan on the patio, we would probably share a side or two, and we would definitely recommend more staff knowledge about their wine choices -- both bottle and glass options. So yeah -- amazing food with a slightly high price point. Work out some kinks and we'll be back! read more

We had the loveliest dinners at Two Fillets!! First, I'll start with service. Wendy, our waitress, was wonderful. She was friendly, knew her stuff regarding the menu and really went out of her way to make our experience better! Here's what we loved: the fact that you could customize your meal. I had the filet and was able to pick my sauce and sides. Most steak restaurants in this area are a la carte and sides are pricey. Two fillets offers 2 sides with their steak or fish. I had the fingerling potatoes and Brussels sprouts (extra $2). My husband had the grouper and was able to order fries and green beans. Everything was prepared to our liking. We both had 1 glass of wine each and thought they had a very nice selection of glasses and bottles. Dessert: Wow!! We shared the cookie skillet and it was served fresh from the oven with a large scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream on top. Again, it was awesome!!! We will definitely be back!! We have always enjoyed Two Filets, going there very often for happy hours at the bar. Their bar lights and drink prices can't be beat along with excellent bar staff. We were celebrating our anniversary and decided to have dinner in the main dining room. There was an issue with our check and a coupon that we had received in the mail, that obviously was some form of media misprint. we were very pleased with the general manager who addressed the issue immediately. I really wanted to like my experience at Two Fillets. This new restaurant is in a prime location on 41 and a large, well decorated space! However, from the very start the experience was subpar. we started with drinks, ordering from the cocktail menu and when I received my "pink Paloma" it was basically grapefruit juice in a cup. No garnish, no trace of gin, no flare in comparison to the drinks photographed on the menu or served at other tables. Our server was new and being trained, but still we had to ask for table bread after seeing all the other tables receive it except us. We ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer to share (there were three of us). They brought out 4 shrimp on a plate.. I like minimalist design in restaurants but this looked a little shabby and $13 for 4 shrimp seems like a bad deal. The severs cleared our plates without asking if we were finish but left the bread with no plates to eat it on.. one of the individuals in party accidentally dropped a fork and instead of replacing the silverware the sever made a joke "that's why we give you two at the table". The entrees overall were okay- not stellar but not poor in quality. It seemed to lack flavor but was heftier in portion size than the appetizer. We ate at Two Fillets last night. My Grey Goose martini with a twist was perfect. I ordered the sea bass with garlic herb butter, with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the sauce was light and delicious. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were fine but the fish was the showstopper. My friends also ordered an assortment of salads, hanger steak, filet, sea bass prepared with other sauces, and scallops and all raved about their meals. The service was excellent. Visited here last night for my dads birthday. I called ahead to try to get a menu without pricing because dad always orders one of the cheapest things on the menu. I understand it's an unusual request so I wasn't surprised that it wasn't possible but we were escorted to a table that already had the menus placed on it. I had no way to intercept my father from seeing the pricing. We started off with the coconut shrimp appetizer which was 4 shrimp. We each got 1. So that was disappointing as well. Dad also got a cup of the clam chowder. He said that was excellent. For dinner my husband and I both got the wagyu sirloin. Very tender and delicious. My daughter got the jumbo shrimp and dad got the Parmesan crusted sole. He said it was good with plenty of fish. Our server was very sweet and was able to recommend dishes and answer all questions we had about the different sauces. I would say that this restaurant is one to try read more

We bought take out fish and it was not fresh fish. It had the fishy odor that indicates "not fresh" and the cooking didn't cover up the bad fish. The coating and sauce didn't cover up the bad taste and odor. We will not be back for more. read more

We had a fabulous dinner tonight at Two Fillets! We had an excellent server named Rebecca. She was extremely attentive. We had delicious "happy-hour priced martini's". Perfect start. I have a gluten-allergy and Rebecca made sure I had the right meal for me. I enjoyed black grouper with a beurre blanc sauce, roasted asparagus and jasmine rice. It was perfection! My husband enjoyed a steak taco and a fish taco with a delicious mashed potato and balsamic roasted brussel sprouts with bacon. These were unbelievably delicious. The value was outstanding! I understand that this place is known for their steaks; however, while I'm eating beef I really don't want to see pictures of alive cows on the wall... really kind of killed my apetite to be honest. I'm not a tree hugger type and love a good steak/burger but I really couldn't stop thinking about it the whole meal. On every wall there is a picture of a grazing cow and really couldn't get away from it. Not sure how other people feel about this but once I pointed it out my girlfriend couldn't stop thinking about it either so I would love some crowd feedback. read more

. Decided to take a friend in for dinner last night. It was her first visit. The food was good but the service was pretty bad. We were served our cocktails but never offered water or menus? We sat at a table in the bar area but we wanted to eat also. We had 4 courses and I had to clear every dish off the table and place them on the bar because no one else did. We were running out of room on the table. Even the menus were left on the table. . I had to flag someone for everything we needed. Menus, water, bottle of champagne, boxes etc. We spent $360 for 2 people. I think we deserved better treatment. read more

Five of us dined there last night. Two of us ordered ala cart steak one prime ribeye and the other a fillet mignon. The fillet was ordered well done. sent back twice still not cooked enough. the ribeye medium rare. half the steak was medium and half was well done. Both steaks had a funny taste I cannot describe, almost like they started to turn. Worst, most costly steak I've ever eaten. The other 3 persons had fish which was very good. Meals at restaurants start at the door. We were seated almost immediately. Host was a manager of some kind and he was pleasant. We were provided water immediately and our drink order was taken immediately. After few minutes wait staff asked if we wanted apps. we got beef medallion which were shared. I didn't really find anything special about the medallions. However, I also order a bowl of seafood gumbo. This might have been the best bowl of soup I have ever consumed. All sorts of flavor. All sorts of seafood. My entree was a burger with gorgonzola. The burger was outstanding. Cooked perfectly and great bun to patty ratio. I had au gratin potatoes instead of fries. Only complaint I have about the potatoes is they were cut too big for the ramekin they was cooked in. Made it difficult to scoop appropriate amount per bite. The Cole slaw was unspectacular but VERY GOOD. Will go there for seafood as well. Wife had grouper. I had taste, but not enough to comment on. Pleasant atmosphere and parking was easy. Will be part of regular rotation now...even if only for the burger! read more

Delicious Date Night!!! This was our first time here since the space was converted into a beautiful small steakhouse! We loved to come to Randy's Fishmarket years ago, so we knew the space was limited. The renovations were quite impressive! And the food was phenomenal!!! The Waygu Ribeye and Stuffed Organic Salmon were DELICIOUS!!! We had an amazing waiter named Brian who was attentive, courteous, and a pleasure to spend the evening with!
