4/17/26 Finally came back I was feeling some Asian Paradise . Wasn't crowded and we were seated immediately just 2 of us . Victor was our server and he was excellent. We ordered pretty quick and I must say it came out very fast and nice and hot . We got Honey walnut shrimp , kung pao chicken , beef Szechuan, pork fried rice and appetizer cheese wontons . It was all so delicious. We had an enjoyable evening . Will be back Enjoy !!!! read more

Awesome service. We've been to this restaurant many times to eat in and for takeout. The servers were also kind and happy to explain things on the menu. I recommend sticking to the Chinese food and especially on the front page. Fried soft shell crab is crispy and fluffy at the same time and the crab really shines through. Anything with the XO sauce is bursting with a umami and amazing flavor, we prefer the scallops. The salt and pepper calamari is a must for the appetizer. Similar to the crab, it's fluffy and crunchy and all the right places. The calamari is cooked perfectly. This was a great place to either go for a date night or to take our kids. The place is very nice - clean, modern, not crowded and plays very nice background music. They have a very extensive and nice menu. My gal had the basil chicken and it was delicious. I would have given them a higher rating but the hot and sour soup was so peppery that I could not eat it and the Kung po Shrimp was very nice but also way too peppery. I will take the soup and Kung po home to doctor it up. Do try them but next time I will insist the chef put away his pepper shaker as he was way too heavy handed with the pepper. Better to have done spices on the table should a guest want more spice but the pepper in my dishes was too much. We will be back. read more

Went in for lunch. It's a medium sized modern looking restaurant with a bar. There was only two other people there for lunch. Only one person working and she quickly sat me. I ordered the lunch special of garlic chicken. It came with egg fried rice, sweet & sour soup and a small salad. The chicken and rice were a good portion and savory. The soup was in a cup and was okay. The salad was small and hot. I wasn't sure if it was a side of vegetables. The service was just okay and so was the food. Maybe the dinner is different. We ordered from here on Friday night, and got the chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, broccoli beef, orange chicken, garlic chicken and pot stickers and the online ordering and pick up were a breeze! I love their chow mein because they use a smaller noodle, and it doesn't seem as heavy as some places, which is appreciated. All of the food was wonderful, and we had plenty of leftovers afterwards! We also got a few small bone pieces with our chicken. We ended up eating the rest of our meal chewing in slow motion to not bite into any more inedible pieces. This dish was overly salty too. I have to give the biggest shout out to an evening female worker. I called my order in, popped in while on the phone to grab it and went to my car to finish my call. The waitress came out 2 minutes later and found me and gave me my credit card I accidentally left in the hustle. LIFE SAVER- above and beyond. Updated review: Dined in for dinner last night, we ordered some of our favorite Chinese dishes; general's chicken, Kung pao, white rice, and an order of chow fun. I had to have a boba milktea, so I ordered a honeydew milk tea with boba. It was so refreshing after the hot day we had. The food did taste a little different from the last time we had it for takeout. The general's chicken was more salty than sweet and missing the heat that I looked for. Did you recently, by chance, change kitchen staff? My dinner date complained of a strange aftertaste from his kungpao, but he didn't feel right voicing his concern since I tried it, and I didn't find anything wrong with its taste. The Paradise Chow fun saved our meal, and we loved every bite and still had some leftovers. It's a nice-looking restaurant with plenty of seating in the restaurant and they offer bar seating if you'd rather. I like having the option. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. Prices are a bit higher than other Asian restaurants in our area, and all entrées are served a la carte. I'm okay with that, but the portions have decreased. Meanwhile, prices keep increasing. I'm not sure when we'll be back for our next Chinese fix. read more

I am updating my review: I think I'm about done with this place. They are closed on Tuesdays. Then they changed their hours. Then today I went to get food and they are closed because of "equipment failure." Are you *** kidding! So so done! I am moving on. I love this place for a few reasons - the food is always hot, tastes fresh, tastes great and out in south Reno, there aren't many restaurant options. I have been coming here for years, I usually call in and pick up or sit at the bar and wait for my to go order. Recently though they changed their hours and their new hours are very inconvenient. I admit their food does taste better now that they close from 2-4 especially when I usually want Chinese at 2:30. They are also closed on Tuesday. read more

I am so glad we stopped in to Asian Paradise last night, it was our first visit but I was very impressed. The staff members were very friendly and welcoming and you could tell they took pride in their work. The food was delicious. The pork fried rice is fresh and flavorful, I felt like you could taste all the aspects from the pork to the egg to the veggies. Loved it. The sesame chicken was lightly breaded with the perfect amount of sauce and flavor. My husband had the hot sour soup which he said was some of the best soup he's had. I really wanted to love this place because it's so close to home, but I was very disappointed. I love my veggie chow mein, but this one didn't do it for me. I typically like plump noodles, plenty of veggies, and some form of a light sauce. I ordered take out and did not get what I was expecting. I ordered the vegetable chow mein and I found it to be pretty dry and lacking in the veggie department. We found the restaurant on Yelp. Between the good reviews and the closeness to our hotel, we decided to check it out. W3 arrived at 5:45pm on a Sunday and it was moderately busy. Our server, Miguel, was friendly, efficient and helpful in making our selections. Our first choice was the honey walnut shrimp. Can you find a said they had run out of walnuts and we're preparing the dish with cashews. We said that would be fine. This was an absolutely delicious dish as it was served with pineapple and apples cover, which we had never experienced before. We really enjoyed it.! The second item was a General chicken. We were thrilled to find out that it was made with dark meat. It was quite good!. Our third dish was beef with vegetables. I always like to get at least one dish with vegetables, and this one had a very nice sauce. It was a lot of food for two people but we love to take home leftovers. We ordered to go for yesterday afternoon. Pick up time was spot on. That was the good. Now for the bad. The food. Why are they hit or miss(have been mostly miss). We ordered Generals Chicken and Cashew Chicken to both be extra spicy. Absolutely no spice at all. The generals chicken had no flavor..it was one of the worst I have ever had. The cashew chicken was unappealing to look at, and so was its flavor..and not spicy..the fried rice was good, as was the egg rolls. Hot and sour..neither hot nor sour..just meh. And...ordered their milk tea that is pictured with boba. When I got it..no boba..was told they do not have boba and she walked away. With the tip(and we are generous) that I paid for before pick up it was $ 100.00. Now, I will always pay for good food and never bitch. this was far away from being anything but good. What a major disappointment. We have ate there in the past and had really good meals..and not so good. This fits the not so good.its now on our DNR(do not return) list. Asian Paradise is our "go-to" restaurant for Asian food! We have gotten take-out and have eaten inside the restaurant many times. The food is always delicious, flavorful, and consistent every time! The servers are fast, attentive, and friendly. I have seen them recognize customers too. The restaurant is quiet, and we're usually lucky enough to be seated quickly when we come in. The portions are great, we usually have leftovers. Some of my favorite entrees are the beef and broccoli (classic), sesame beef, chicken chow mien (not greasy at all), kung pao chicken (spicy, and I LOVE the peanuts in it!), hot and sour soup (spicy!), and the teriyaki calamari appetizer. Their chili sauce you can get on the side is also perfectly spicy and adds a nice kick. I have enjoyed every dish here, and there are so many more I want to try in the future! read more
