I previously reviewed CJ Palace and gave it another try even though I said I wouldn't visit again. The service was impeccable and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Although I still think it's too dimly lit. The dragon roll was ok but the rice was definitely over cooked. The lettuce wraps were tasty along with the asparagus beef. The staff were very pleasant and attentive to the needs of all patrons.

The food was good. Friendly service. A little dark than I prefer but thats just me. Mixture of Chinese and Japanese food. The servings were generous.

As soon as I walked in I was seated at the bar. Few people around when I arrived and it was pretty quiet the whole time I was there. It has been quite a while since I've been here and it was good then and still good now. Some people are a fan of tobiko and some people are not. I'm not a fan of it and a lot of rolls do have it on it. Other than that I had a good dinner and would come back

The food here is so good. I usually enjoy a bento box, they have the best in town, but today I was craving some good old fashioned sweet and sour chicken. I like the sauce they use here, and they dont skimp out on the carrots, onions, and pineapple. It is a nice size dish and comes with steamed rice. We also ordered a couple other dishes. Their crispy spicy orange beef is delicious, and so is their egg foo young. Service is always good a d fast and friendly.

This is our go to Chinese restaurant. Food is great. Staff is friendly. Price is decent and portions are full. Restaurant is clean, has 2 sides with sushi bar and Chinese. Our family comes here at least once every couple of months. Sushi is good, sometimes comes with too much sauce but it's good. Fresh seafood and quality sushi rice. Chinese is amazing. Love the chow mein and general chicken.

Well my son took me to dinner here actually to a lunch and I usually really love this place I wasn't feeling it this time service was really good but the sushi wasn't up to snuff like I love it. When the seaweed wrapped is mushy then I know I'm not going to enjoy it I like seaweed rap to be crispy and crunchy when you bite it the kids ordered something from there Chinese menu and they loved it so I'm glad I've experienced this place when I really really loved it it just wasn't spot on this time

Are they doing sushi takeout right now?

Yes, and we tried some. A bit more expensive than other sushi places, but good. We use GrubHub, but I expect you can use other delivering services or order direct.

THE BEST JAPANESE SHABU SHABU I HAD BY FAR!!!!! So far this is the only legit Asian restaurant I've…read morehad in Reno. How it works? You have to make reservations because they prepare your ingredients with love and care. For night time reservations, it's like a speak easy kind of entrance, because the basement was already close, Sean, one of the owners, will pick you up and lead you to a secret elevator that descend to the basement. They aim for a zero-waste food, so all your orders will not go into waste (I will explain later). Each person has its own pot. For now, since they just opened recently, they have seven induction stoves --- that meant they can only take 7 person at a time. You will choose your protein and size of the pot, they have the smallest one, which they call chubi, then ninja, sho time, king kong and gorilla. I chose beef belly (a must try) and fish balls (this is not just a regular fish balls because it has a roe/fish eggs inside!) -- then they will teach you how to eat in a way you will experience the best shabu shabu experience. If you have left overs, don't worry, you can take it home -- they will prepare it for you so you can just reheat it and eat. (The soup was still so so good the next day!) The sake (rice wine) that they have had different flavors. It was my first time to taste one with flavors. I also tried its unfiltered sake, and oh boy, it brought me back the times when I had a dinner with Japanese consul (one of my perks as a former journalist) and my travel in China. Their cheesecake is also a must try! It was a guiltless cheesecake because it was low carbs and low calories. The owners, Yuki and Sean are very friendly, accommodating, and very mindful of the food -- they don't want the food to go into waste! I love the ambiance -- I had my birthday party there, and felt like we have the restaurant all to ourselves! It was intimate, clean with simple but functional interior. The last we dined in there (which was the third time) they are expanding and adding more inductions to accommodate the demand, 'cause people are coming back and referring this restaurant to friends. Update: My mom and I dined in there (few weeks before I deliver my baby) in April and they expanded their stoves. They can accommodate more than 20,I think, of diners.

Okay, wow. I have heard how great this place is, definitely worth the hype. I genuinely loved it…read more Flavor profiles were great. It was so delicious and I am new to hot pot, so I'm sold. The sauces to dip your veggies and meat were absolutely delicious. The sesame dipping sauce can be customized to add a bit of heat by adding chili oil. I chose just one drop, for the most gentle mild spice level, definitely worth it. Spice can sometimes take away from a meal so I don't overdo it, but I probably can push for an extra drop next time. The citrus ponzu was delicious. It's all the flavors I love. The vegetable platter is perfect to accompany the meat and you have your bowl of rice to go with the meat and vegetables. I was guided through the entire process and it was very helpful, grateful for that. You get to choose your meat type, and how much you want of it. Honestly it's perfect. I don't eat a lot and I still chose 7oz of meat and had plenty to eat and enough for my "to go soup". The concept to add everything you didn't eat in a to go container (some may say that's basic or normal) well I think it's awesome because it's no longer just cooking your meat in a broth and dipping in sauces accompanied with rice, it's a whole different meal at home. It's a delicious soup with meat vegetables and noodles. (Fair warning if you eat everything there, you probably won't have anything left to make a soup. It's ok, you still enjoyed it ) Phenomenal. Definitely going back. The layout is very cool. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sweet girl. Just can't get over how good it was.

Parking is fairly easy, with plenty of street spaces nearby, and an easy walk if you're already hanging around the neighborhood. The service was friendly and fairly prompt, and even for a weekday night the place was bustling, leading to a bit of a backup. Cool vibes all around, and it's neat to sit at the bar and watch the chefs do their thing. Though it does mean this is a little bit on the noisy side. Look at the menu, and there are tons of tempting options. As the name suggests, their specialty here is small plate off the grill or out fo the fryer. But they do serve really good-looking ramen, too, which I will make not to try next time I swing by. I at first went with a quick bite of grilled chicken thighs, which were just amazing! They were juicy, eprfectly seared, with some grilled green onions and an amazing sweet soy sauce. I also went with the yakionigiri, which are balls of rice that are grilled, brushed with sauce, and topped with a sort of mango slaw. A bit uncommon, but wow, these were also just so delicious! Also had a glass of sake, though they have a full bar should you want some other sort of beverage. Prices here are, I feel, a little on the higher end for small plates. However, I think it is definitely worth coming and trying this place out at least once or twice, just to expereince some of the good food. I'm sorry it took me so long to finally step through the doors, but I am certain I will be back again to try more of what's on the menu.

Unfortunately, she brought that same loud, frantic energy to every interaction with customers, which made for a very unpleasant dining experience. The food was disappointing. It lacked flavor, and the menu felt like it was trying to do too much. Being both a sushi bar and a hibachi restaurant seemed to hurt the overall quality. Two of us ordered the all-you-can-eat option, which ended up being a big mistake. Between the bland food and the slow service, we lost our appetites before we could really enjoy the meal. One thing we noticed right away was that the bonchon was already set on the tables before guests arrived. It wasn't a large spread--just a small tin of cheese corn and a divided tray with kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake--not sure how long they were left out and did look and taste dry. The servers seemed to work well together. Different team members checked on us, cleared dishes, served food, and helped other's tables. Once it got busier, they also used robot servers to help deliver food. We started with the salad with house dressing and the popcorn chicken. Both were good, and the chicken was nice and moist. For the BBQ, we ordered the Chardol, Ju Mul Luck, Hawaiian Steak, Tri-Tip Bulgogi, and Galbi (short ribs). Having eaten at quite a few Korean BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas, we noticed the portions here were a bit smaller. They also limit each round to three appetizers and four meat selections. Overall, the service was good, and we especially appreciated Eurie for being friendly and attentive. The only thing that concerned us was when another server changed our grill. Instead of lightly drizzling oil onto the grill, she forcefully squeezed the bottle, causing the oil to shoot out onto grill. It seemed like an unnecessary safety risk for both guests and employees. Our favorites were definitely the Tri-Tip Bulgogi and the Galbi. Both were flavorful and tender. The Chardol was good, but the slices were very thin and the portion felt a little small. The restaurant filled up quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., so it's clearly a popular spot. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back for the Tri-Tip Bulgogi, Galbi, and the teamwork displayed by the staff.
