This is my new favorite Austin brunch/ lunch spot. Beautiful design, good service, and cravable food. We shared a brassica salad, wagyu steak on the side, mushroom soba bowl, and the pavlova. Too much food! We could have shared one entree but now we have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. The flavors and masterful combinations of texture and color make these dishes absolute standouts. The steak was a great accompaniment to both bowls. Pavlova was outstanding with just the right amount of sweet. They've got excellent house juices and cocktails too. I adore Two Hands! It is a great place for lunch. It has such wonderful atmosphere, great food, and great dessert. It's the perfect spot for a place to sit and chat while enjoying a drink or meal. Every time I go to Austin, my friend who is a native there always suggests us on going Two Hands. I noticed that it's often busy, but luckily we were able to get a table right then and there. The ambiance there is always fast paced, bright, and lively. Service was slow, but I personally don't care nor do I blame him because I saw that he had many other tables. A table next to us were upset about the slow service, but if you're going into a popular place in the morning/brunch time, don't always expect quick service. We shared the smashed avocado toast and the b.e.k. roll with a hash brown. Everything was really good and I love how the food didn't make us feel heavy after finishing. I actually had ordered the drink called walking on sunshine, but it had never came. When we were given the check, we saw that the drink was still on the tab. I had told the girl about never receiving the drink and she said oh, no one told you that we ran out of that? Well obviously not, but it was fine with me since it was a little busy. Two Hands has become one of my new favorite dinner spots! I've walked by during brunch hours many times, but when I saw they started offering a pre-fixed dinner menu for $45, I had to try it. I booked a reservation and have been back multiple times since. The three-course meal is a lot of food--perfect for sharing or taking leftovers. The burrata with roti was our favorite starter; the flavor was incredible. For the mains, I've tried the pesto pasta, sweet potato curry, and pan-roasted half chicken. All were excellent, but the half chicken was my favorite--hearty and generously portioned. The pesto pasta was light and ideal for a date or social setting, while the curry was warm (though I personally prefer spicier curries). Dessert was a highlight. The coconut and key lime pavlova is an absolute must--so refreshing! The banana walnut bread, rocked, with its dense texture and espresso mascarpone icing,. The miso brownie was great as well but a little less of the 'wow factor'. (But I'd totally order again!) Cocktail-wise, "Like Lollies" is one of my favorite cocktails in all of Austin. The mezcal and guava combo, topped with a little flower, was perfectly balanced--not too sweet, with just the right amount of smokiness. I could sip on these all day! On my first visit, there was live music on a Saturday evening, which added a lovely touch. The service has consistently been kind and attentive, and the overall ambiance is a hidden gem. It was breakfast time and I walked in this chic, beautiful establishment. I sat at the bar. The temperature was wonderful and I was given a glass of water and a menu the moment I sat down. I ordered the lemon poppy waffle which came with syrup on the side, fresh edible flowers, and homemade cream. I also got a side of avocado dipped in olive oil and salt along with eggs and a hash brown. the only downside to the hash brown was that it was very salty. I couldn't finish it. But other than that the waffle had a perfect lemon flavor to it - so much so that I didn't need to add syrup. The cream and the strawberries were enough to deliver the right amount of sweetness. The egg was cooked perfectly and with the avocado, the meal was very filling. The service was very hospitable and friendly. The waitress I had was really nice as was the cooks. The food was incredible!!! I'd give that alone 5 stars. The issue is parking... See below. I got the mushroom soba noodle bowl, which was awesome. I was worried the cold noodles would be too cold, but the warm mushrooms heated the noodles well. I added avocado, which was a half of an avocado, and it perfectly complemented the rest of the bowl. But the best thing I ate was the crispy brussel sprouts. I was nervous what pickled currants would taste like, but I am so glad I left them on. Their sweetness and tanginess blended perfectly with the saltiness of the sprouts, dressing, and cheese. The parking is ridiculous, though. My GPS told me to turn into a parking lot, so I was relieved thinking there was parking. The lot turned out to be a garage directly next to Two Hands, but thankfully I didn't listen to my GPS. The restaurant doesn't validate, and the waitress told us it cost $60 to park there?! Two Hands is on South Congress, and the street and its surroundings are all paid, chaotic parking. Even if you're willing to pay, there might not be ample parking for many blocks. If the restaurant validated/had its own lot, I'd want to go all the time. read more

Two hands food is hands down the healthiest and tastiest food that a cafe can offer. Their chilli oil fries are so crisp that once you start eating those you will most positively forget about rest of your order. But then you get hit in the face by the lip smacking Harrisa bowl. Don't even get me started on the Henry's sandwich which comes with a broccoli slaw pickle. It took me a while to figure out why the pickle was so exquisite. It's a must visit. My first time visiting (after wanting to for a long time) was in June with a college friend. I ordered the lavender matcha at the coffee window, and it was good but not special. I didn't taste a ton of the lavender syrup when I drank it. My second visit was with my parents in August, when we each got a coffee drink and bowl for brunch. My mom thought the taro tasted too artificial. My dad thought the chai was okay. I absolutely loved my vanilla latte! For food: the three of us each chose one of their 3 bowls (listed under the "lunch" section). We all thought they tasted yummy, but didn't give me a "wow" reaction. The restaurant itself is of course super cute, with a wraparound counter seating, tables, and booths. We made reservations so got a booth in the front corner, which was cozy. It is also conveniently located on popular South Congress, so there's a lot to do nearby.
