I was craving Korean hot dogs, when I looked it up on Yelp, I notice this location had recently opened. There have been a couple reviews on workers being maskless however when I went they were all wearing masks and also had gloves when handling food. I got the two hands dog, the rice puff one and the spicy one; all with mozzarella inside. I think my favorite was probably the rice puff one. They add cinnamon sugar to the outside! My only complaint is that I wished that they added cinnamons sugar to the entirety of the outside dog not just one side. If you prefer the dogs to be sauce less they also do sauce on the side. The parking lot is pretty small, so it might be tough to find parking if it's busy. The wait after you order is about 10-15 minutes!

East Los is hiding a delicious secret! Korean corn dogs! Well, rice dogs to be exact. But the great part is they also sell American corn dogs too! This is the only Korean dog chain I've seen that does this. It's located in a small strip mall on a corner. With an elementary school across the street and East LA College down the way, it's definitely gonna get business! I overheard that they just opened 2 months ago too. There's no tables to sit (hence the car pics) so it will most likely be to go only. The service was very accommodating to first timers. They explained the types of dogs and the payment process to ensure a smooth transaction. But what I loved the most was the potato dog! The outer potato cubes were seasoned deliciously! You know when to go to a breakfast restaurant and order seasoned home fries? Like that, but BETTER. Would definitely come back.

Delish. Great combos of flavors. You need to choose the corn dog flavor first, then choose Combo of either Spicy beef sausage 1/2 mozzarella and cheddar All mozzarella 1/2 sausage and mozzarella Regular beef sausage

The corn dogs are okay, but I find them a bit pricey considering they are corn dogs lol and they are not very flavorful. I tried the Mega-Star set to try all the flavors, but they're basically just fried corn dogs with a little seasoning. They're filling as a snack; one is enough, maybe two if you're really hungry. But yea, the place is more about photos. Still worth giving it a try, though.

This place is so fire! The potato corn dog with hot Cheetos topping is so good! This place hits when you're in the mood for a corn dog. The red slushy is pretty good too! The tater tots I have tried recently and those are bomb! One of my favorite spots in LA

Lots of options to choose from! Ordering their most popular Potato Dog -- which is very tasty. Could do with more Cheetos seasoning but I guess you can't have it all. Oh, I also bought the taters. I've got 2 words for Two Hands: Incredibly Small. $5 for 18 pieces. Bad move. If you need to get your potato fix, go to Potato Corner instead.

A crispy and doughy hotdog! I got the spicy dog and the coating is extremely crunchy with hot Cheeto crumbs with a standard hot dog center. You can choose a different center (meat or cheese, vegan). Also, choose from slush or Stubborn soda brand that has no high fructose corn syrup. We tried the black cherry.

So we came across this place out of a mere craving I had. I found it a little weird that a Korean hot dog spot was in east LA but hey, LA is a melting pot so I guess in reality it's not that weird. Super tiny parking lot but seems like spots available happens quickly. Little hole in the wall spot but you can also wait outside while you wait for your number to be called. I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the staff (specifically the kid on the register). Some family accidentally took our dogs thinking it was theirs and they came back to give it back to us. We felt that was a little weird because we don't know if it had been touched so the kid on register agreed to give us new dogs at no cost. We really appreciated that and because of that, I would definitely come back to this spot. Great customer service!

Classic Dog. Not bad. I just take good photos lol

Not bad. I've had stuffed hot dogs before. They're not all the same. Two hangs was ok. $4.72 for one classic dog. Half mozzarella/sausage. Over sugared. But over all not bad. The location is pretty small. Decent parking lot. The place was presentable and the staff was cool. Young man was polite and informative. However, the dog didn't fulfill me. It was missing something. Again, not bad. But definitely not "oh yea!" No cheese pull. Not filling. Over sugared and a bit on the high end for one dog. They have good deals though. 5x$20 + free shake. Again, don't use my review for a reason to not go. Check them out for yourself. I won't be back. But glad I came to try them out. Good work guys.

    The sturdy box.

They need fresher franks. The ones that were given to us were old and wrinkled. Less sweetness would go a long way.

The service is superb and they were very generous with all the banchan that they brought out - which we are super grateful for! My favorite was the seaweed mixed with cabbage and the cucumber. For the entre, we ordered the ginseng chicken soup and the combo mushroom soup with bulgogi. Total bill came out to be $72 with an 18% tip included in there. Ginseng chicken tasted great and healthy. Tofu soup was good as well. The bulgogi was a bit sweet but that is expected. Overall, we all enjoyed this place and would definitely come back again. Plenty of parking as it shares a plaza with other shops (Daiso, sushi place, Jersey Mikes, bargain market, etc..). There are some strange people hanging outside so just be cautious about that going at night.

I wanted to introduce my gf that lives in the area to tofu soup and this one was nearby and the only one in the area so we decided to give it a shot. It's odd for myself as a Korean American to go to a Korean tofu soup spot and there are no Korean speaking front of house members. I saw maybe one Korean ajumma in the back of house and that's it. Here's what we ordered: **Beef Tofu Sou (Medium Spicy): Easily one of the worst tofu soup (soondubu) I've ever had. First off, when I added the egg, the soup wasn't boiling so the egg didn't cook through. The soup base hardly had any spicy kick. The soup itself was very bland and had no authentic soondubu flavor. (1/5) **BBQ Short Ribs: The galbi was not that hot when it was served. It was very fatty and mostly bone. I do not recommend if you're looking for authentic galbi. (1/5) The banchan selection was very poor. The service was decent in the beginning but once I was ready for my check, it was really hard to flag anyone down. If you're looking for authentic Korean style tofu soup, I do not recommend. If you're catering towards a less flavorful Americanized tofu soup then this may be the spot for you.

Still Our Favorite Tofu Spot -- Had to Bring the Family This Time!…read more Of course we had to come back to our favorite tofu spot, and this time we brought the family for a belated Mother's Day dinner after raving about this place nonstop. Best part? We saw Shelly, our favorite girl that works here! She's always so sweet, kind, and welcoming every single time we visit. It honestly makes the experience even better when you're greeted by familiar friendly faces. We came around 7:30 PM and the wait was only about 10 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering how popular this place gets. Service was quick, efficient, and the food kept coming out fast. Plenty of tables inside, so it never felt too cramped. This time around we ordered: * Jap Chae * Bulgogi with Beef & Seafood Tofu Combo * Spicy Pork w/ seafood & beef combo * Teriyaki Chicken w/ seafood & beef tofu * Bulgogi with All Seafood & Beef Tofu Combo And of course... the unlimited refills of the banchan are always one of the best parts. Honestly, sometimes I think I could make a full meal out of just those alone. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and exactly why we keep coming back every couple of months. I will say the prices have slowly been creeping up little by little each visit, but honestly, we still enjoy it every time. Still our go-to tofu spot and definitely one we'll continue bringing family and friends to. Happy eats!

It made me do a double take after not visiting for a while! A few things worth noting: - The entire staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. - Thoroughly enjoyed all the banchan. Take advantage of the complimentary refills! I liked the kimchi so much that I bought a large container to-go. I've been eating it daily ever since. It's on the sweeter side, not totally tart. Don't sleep on the raw squid either! - They've introduced two naengmyun options, one spicy and one non-spicy, just in time for summer. We tried the non-spicy version and my family enjoyed it. They use a chicken broth base and it was light, refreshing, and surprisingly addictive. - I love that they offer a beef and octopus soondubu (generous portion of octopus!). Most places only have a beef and seafood combination. Between the flavorful banchan, refreshing naengmyun, and attentive service, Young Dong Tofu has firmly worked its way back into my rotation.

The soy garlic was actually very nice! I did enjoy that the most. The skin was also very crispy and crunchy, the chicken itself was very juicy. The chicken here feels like it's on the smaller end, but everything was still pretty good. I wouldn't say it's authentic Korean fried chicken, I feel like they're just missing the mark of the Korean flavors, but it does taste more like Korean inspired lol. I also wish the radishes weren't small cubes and wish they were bigger cubes. We also got calamari as well, this one was also pretty nice to have. Overall, the chicken here was still pretty good!
